My husband turned away while I was changing the other day! He saw me, made eye contact and then quickly rushed out of the bedroom. I'm thinking like "wtf, is his problem". So I go chasing after him and ask him what's his deal. He replies "well you've never felt comfortable getting undressed in front of me while you're pregnant and I just assumed you didn't want me to see". I said "no, I have a few weeks left, I'm tired, and I don't give a crap. Look at me! Look at this belly! Look at my stretchmarks!" He had this look on his face like "whoa, what's her deal?". I really just wanted to point out to him that being pregnant wasn't easy. They say men are visual creatures....well I sure as heck gave him something to look at!
We went out yesterday to the Farmer's Market. Its a big swap meet. People bring their junk to sell, there's food and fruit and candy, etc. There are even pony rides and whatnot for the kids. ANYWAYS...We get ready to go. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and have not a single soul to impress. So I hop out of the shower, throw my maternity jeans on, one of DH's oversized shirts, and head out the door. He tells me "Oh....I thought you were going to get ready..." Uuuumm.....Did I miss something?!?! HAHA I told him that I only try to look presentable on the weekdays when I'm at work and even that is not as impressive as it used to be. Maybe I'll try again in a few months. Sorry DH. In the moment, I kind of wanted to smack him when he insinuated that I looked like shit.
I'm being a bum on the couch. The dog is laying along my side. The cat jumped up to lay on my chest/top of my bump. Immediately felt a huge movement from LO. Guess he wasn't impressed
My dad sent me a text yesterday to let me know that he cleaned up the upstairs and set up the crib again at their house so everything is ready for our first visit with baby. I thought it was pretty cute. When I got pregnant with DD my dad immediately started fixing my crib from when I was a baby, which was also my mom's crib when she was a baby. He made the slats closer and got rid of the drop side. So, he got it back out again. My mom has been in Hawaii working for 4 months, with almost another month left. He has been home, here in Wisconsin and our relationship has gotten so much better. I love him and we have a nice relationship, but we have never been super close. He is just not a super relational guy. But, with my mom gone he is lonely and my mom can't be the go between as much for us. So, we have been talking and texting and emailing a lot more. It really makes me happy.

I have exactly 3 weeks left.. trying really hard to let myself get excited. @BabyBlake042017 Everytime I open my fridge I look at our sour cream bc it expires the day of my c-section haha
Am I the only one freaking out about @DannyLion24 possible labor?! I feel like it just hit me that this is totally real and we could all have babies soon! I know there have been some babies born already but I think all of them have been after a hospital stay and to have a mama go to the dr have have her dr tell her it could be soon.....it's freaking real.
**also...I hope I didn't offend any of our mamas that have already given birth. I am so glad that everyone is doing well and I am loving the pictures on FB of the littles!
@Taylor72 it's definitely exciting times here on TB and FB. Every morning I wake up and check my phone to see if there are any new updates! Keep in mind, @Dannylion24 is technically the first due date out of all of us. She's the end of March, but we didn't have the heart to kick her out! Either way, our babies are coming!!
@KirstinH88 but I'm not readyyyyyyyyy. I mean I am and I'm excited. But seriously I feel like I just did my introduction on this board and it's already the middle of march. Idk...I just feel like it slapped me in the face this morning that April is almost here.
@taylor72 A lady at work has a daughter who is due two days before me with her third child. But she said her daughter always goes early so she's looking at only a few weeks. That boggled my mind. Haha! I also am 90% sure I lost part of my mucus plug this morning and I told my husband and freaked him the heck out. THEN I told him it's normal to lose parts of it, but I don't think he felt better. Lol. Either way, it's crazy!
3 weeks and 1 day for me, unless she decides to get here on her own before then!! I'm definitely freaking out a little bit (or a lot...definitely a lot).
I was just sitting here thinking, ok, I have something going on Thursday night but after that I am ready for her to come anytime. Then got to thinking crap, my ob said she is going to be gone a few days next week for spring break. I swear my child will probably show up on one of those days just like my son showed up the one day my ob was gone too! I loved the doctor from her practice that was on call (there are 5 of them total) and delivered him but gosh dang it I want her to deliver this one! Hopefully since I was a few days over with DS and I will only be 37ish weeks baby girl will stay put til she's back haha. First world problems I know.
I'll be 34 weeks tomorrow and I'm freaking out a bit. For whatever reason I really don't want to go on maternity leave yet. I don't know, maybe I'm just freaking out and going on extended leave will make it more real? I keep on looking at my calendar and telling myself that I can make appointments a week before my due date.
I have about 5 and a half weeks left if he comres on time. I had a nightmare the other day that he came too early and I had to go back to work before the end of the school year.
i have no reason to think he will come early (DD was 4 days late) but I need to make it to the end of the month to be sure that I don't have to go back to work before the fall. Not to mention that he still needs to cook.
I'm 36 +4 and had DS at 37+3 so I'm almost as pregnant as I've ever been. Dr told me today I haven't started to dilate but I've started to thin out and her head is so low she could feel it. I'm still a little freaked out but totally ready to get this ball rolling.
I'm going to be a total AW here for a moment. We had DS's parent teacher conference today (he's only in preschool), and he is doing so well! The teacher said that he basically is on track or surpassing the levels that she expects her students to be at. They only expect them to be able to count to 20 and he can count to 79. He can label about 1/2 of the alphabet (upper and lowercase) which is more than she normally sees. He can spell his name (not that difficult, I gave him a pretty easy one!). She said that he is really independent, has good conflict resolution, and loves doing any kind of art. She also said that he is SO excited for baby brother to come. I'm so proud of my little sugar She said that we are doing an amazing job at raising him which of course made me tear up!
And here's another random: I have 45 more days to go until my due date. 45. That's 1 month and two weeks. That's 6 weeks and 2 days. I'm so beyond excited!! Come on, Samuel!!
I'm excited because while I thought my hospital was pretty conservative and traditional (it's a Catholic hospital) and I was only planning on delivering there because I liked my pre-pregnancy gyno, it turns out that pretty much everything I hope for in labor (hope being the key word) is pretty standard there--immediate skin to skin, delayed clamping, intermittent monitoring, limited episiotomies. They also really support breastfeeding and have lactation consultants on staff but don't force rooming in. Birthing books make it seem like those are things you might have to beg for, but either those books don't recognize that hospitals have moved with the times or my hospital is more "progressive" than I thought.

@catem07 I definitely think that many hospitals have moved on with the times and many of those things are standard. Stupid birthing books for getting you worried, but yay that your hospital recognizes all those things that you are hoping for!
@catem07 My hospital is the same way I love it! They are really mother centered, and I never had to "ask" for the things that everyone made it seem like I would have trouble getting. I saw the same lactation consultant several times throughout my weekend stay. They send a nurse to your home 1-2 weeks postpartum to make sure you are doing well, baby is doing well, and really to screen for PPD. It was this nurse who brought to my attention I might be missing the early hunger cues DS was giving me, so I was really grateful for her visit. I posted this on FB, but they even have a doula program- you can request a Doula for your delivery for only $300!
@catem07, just to echo everyone else, my hospital does all of that stuff as well. I think many of the hospitals have moved toward mother-centered care. They also have birthing balls, birthing bars, jacuzzi tub for labouring in the room.

Drove to my daughters pediatrician's office instead of to the OB for my appointment today. Then finally get to the right office and I forgot to actually pee in the cup. I just held it while going and then carried it empty into the appt room. Pregnancy brain is strong today.
Feel like such a mom as I was excited today to order my Avo babies silicone pump and my Kindred Bravely nursing sleep bras (hopefully I love them as much as several of you do!) and then a friend sent me a thing that Target next week is having a big diaper sale as well as cartwheel coupons so I am going to order a bunch of those too! Ah the things that excite you when you are a mom!
@BabyBlake042017 I've been wanting to do freezer meals but not sure I'll have time. Time is ticking! But I do plan on packing my bag this weekend as well. I'm 37 today and since my baby is breech she may be coming in two 2 weeks via c section. It all just got so much closer!
@carpediem55 I hope you have good luck getting baby flipped!! It can be a lot of work to do the freezer meals, but most of what I made was a double recipe of whatever was for dinner that night and stuck one in the freezer. I made a couple chicken and brown rice casseroles, turkey chili, chicken noodle soup, steak and ale pie, and a chicken pot pie. It could be nice to just grab a couple things that can go straight in the oven from the frozen foods section of the store if you don't have time to cook/prep some meals! I can hardly believe how close it's getting!!
