  I'm so sorry you're going through this. Insurance should cover the extra tests due to the increased risks involved with the pregnancy.

  There's no reason they can't do both blood tests at the same time...

  I called my insurance and asked if the harmony was covered. They said it is. So I called my doctor back and said I want the test now, I don't want to wait. I get my blood drawn in an hour.

  It was a 3. So not horrible, but not great. I am only 12 weeks. She said it was higher than 98%of normal pregnancies at that gestation.

  Don't panic! My son was supposedly at a VERY increased risk for Downs. I let it ruin my whole pregnancy and I was worried up until the moment I laid my eyes on him. False positives are more common than you realize.

  I know what you are going through. My NT scan last week was 5.2 they told me i had a 50% chance of something serious like down syndrome had to go to a MFM meet with a GC..it was rough waiting for my M21 results but i just got the results back that everything was negative. I know the wait is hard but a 3 is really borderline ive read also that 3.5 and up is where there starts to be an increased risk too so try to stay hopeful! ( easier said than done i know)
