  • She's right about the symptoms thread but I'm dizzy too. Check your iron levels. Exhaustion is common but that along with dizziness, weakness and being out of breath easy are all top symptoms of being anemic while pregnant. I haven't had my first appt yet but hope to go on the same supplement they gave me with my first pregnancy.
  • The symptoms thread is a million pages long, this is what this page is for

Also, symptoms thread is 2 pages long...
  • Yeah. I'm sorry, OP, please join the community threads on symptoms. We're glad to have you.

@sqfibemom you must have missed the "read this first thread" or are you just a fan of going against the grain? Big time props, you'll go far, kid.

  • @AiramH agreed I've noticed it a lot on this board too...it's too bad everyone can't be supportive. If you don't like a post keep scrolling. It's fine for someone to point out the rules so they know for next time but Sometimes it's hard to get responses from people on those larger threads. If it's something she was concerned about I don't see the harm in asking.
  • @baker1jm2 I absolutely agree with what you're saying! Everyone should come here and feel welcome and not have to worry or feel stupid.
  • @nalex420 but to answer your question I've never had dizziness but I've had friends that have so I think it is a common pregnancy thing.  Hope it passes quickly!
  • FWIW,  I wouldn't have responded like an angry dog if she didn't growl first *shrug*
  • The people who are crazy about "sticking to a thread" even if it's 100 pages long... are the same people who tried controlling, monitoring, and being in "charge" of many other boards. Take it with a grain of salt. It's not you. Internet power trip. Keyboard warriors at best. On that note, hope you feel better.

  • I agree about wishing to post and not have to read a bunch of things and worry about the threads that are the correct ones. And I agree people jump on others a bit quickly and are condescending, which is really a shame. I enjoyed the board w my first pregnancy much much more. As a result I'm not on here as often. Eh. I guess a different way to organize is better for some people and less interesting for others. To answer the question at hand, I haven't had that, but I think others have and I think it's worth mentioning at your next appointment (or sooner if it becomes a really frequent thing).
  • Agreed with November BMB. Can we just please follow suite.

  • I don't really see the difference between here and November. They seem to have all the same regular threads and a similar number of one-offs?

@riverraine I think our BMB has gotten better about that lately. I think most of the ladies here are wonderful and I'm happy to be in October. I don't mind personal threads at all when they are by contributing members who support other members of our group. The only problem I have is when people breeze in, use us as their own personal Google to ask a question, and breeze back out without ever participating.

Eta also, maybe in threads like this one (not to pick on you, OP! We're all just figuring this out as we go!)  wording it like "How to deal with dizziness" and structuring the question to be more widely applicable to everyone will make it seem more group-oriented, if that makes sense. I liked the morning sickness remedies thread, and I don't think it's a bad thing to do that kind of thread for other symptoms we're all dealing with. That structure makes these threads more interactive for everyone to chime in and be supportive of eachother. Just an idea!

  • @bluejeanbabi05 totally in agreement!
