Unfortunately nothing really works for me. The only thing that comes close - and I know this is weird, I thought so too when my OB suggested it - is to swish a little apple juice around in my water glass before I fill it with water. It makes it smell like apple juice but it's still just water. I don't know why but if anything ever works for me, that's it.
All i have to say is that if you are dehydrated, unable to keep down water or loosing weight quickly go see a dr! From a HG sufferer I am telling you..... don't think it is just normal and try to put up with it.
Hi! We've been talking about this quite a bit in the symptoms threads so you should check them out. Ginger candies, ginger tea, and B6 have all been suggested to me. I think I'm going to go a step further and try unisom + B6 too.
I'm a big fan of Hansen's ginger ale and preggo pop drops, which are hard candies that are slightly sour and have ginger in them. I haven't dealt with all day sickness this time but when I am nauseated they usually help.

@adirat I had great success with unisom and b6 for my s14 pregnancy. Tip: I took the unisom before bed so I wouldn't be too drowsey the next morning. That and sea bands bracelets. I got tired of ginger ale really fast! I also found an article about eating just a few beans daily.... it didn't hurt at least!
@deeerfauxm Thanks! I plan to do the same with unisom. I'm already so sleepy! I've tried acupressure on the inner arms like the sea bands bracelets do, and unfortunately that doesn't seem to work for me -- but a good tip for others!
The only thing that has worked for me in the past has been Unisom/Vit B 6. I have an appointment in a week and am going to talk to my doctor about Diclegis. I know I t's more pricy, but I'm feeling willing to splurge on it if the fact that it's controlled-release will minimize some of the drowsiness I've experienced with it. Ive had nausea until 20 weeks with my first 3 pregnancies, so I'm preparing to most likely go through that again:/
Everything everyone has said, plus: -take as many naps as you can get (not always realistic I know) -eat two or three nuts every hour. I got the advice about nuts from a mom of 12, and it worked best for me with DD. It gets some protein in your body without you having to eat more than a swallow or two. There's no lasting energy in a cracker.

Cola syrup helps me and apple cider vinegar mixed with a lot of water seems to help a lot of others. I had HG with my last pregnancy and cola syrup helped me out.
@alwaysadventure I also suffer from 24/7 nausea. After 6 days of barely eating and getting fluids in I decided to call my doctor. I tried everything from ginger tea, peppermint, sea bands, crackers, small meals, etc. I had zero appetite for anything especially fluids. They put me on Diclegis and it is definitely helping with the nausea, however, the number one side effect is drowsiness. They aren't kidding, I could barely keep my head up at work this morning. The good news with being drowsy is you take it before bed, I had a great full nights sleep without waking due to feeling sick. You may want to check in with the dr in a few days if you still aren't getting any relief.

I'm not saying it completely went away but I could not do the prescription Prenatals because they were hard on my stomach but I found since switching to a whole foods prenatal the nausea is still there but more tolerable.
For my first pregnancy anything lemon (especially lemonade and lemon gum) helped me.
I used sea bands last time, as well has putting ginger in my water. My friend took shots of apple cider vinegar in the AM, which helped her with nausea and heartburn. That's sounds freakin awful when you're already nauseated though.
In general, nothing really helped me besides meds with #1 and I assume it will be the same with #2. Try to avoid triggers that make it worse like bright lights, specific smells, or specific foods. For me, I have to wait to drink coffee until the meds kick in. Given you don't lose major weight you are okay. I didn't move the scale for a long time even though I was showing. I swear you get used to it. Sorry not to have a magic pill.

I second this. I can only do the gummies. The pill kind make me super sick.
