I had some lower back pain that went through my hips and into my thighs last night. Could that be contractions? I've heard that some people get contractions in their upper legs.
It could just be a bump up in back pain from carrying this bowling ball on the front of my body, but this felt different.
Yesterday I had just about every mad, sad, anxious, nervous mood SUPER INTENSELY.
I can't wait to meet our baby, and I'm going to EBF as long as possible, but I miss having my PCOS-induced mood swings regulated. It's so much easier to human that way.
So, I was gettting a mani-pedi with a friend in town. I went to stand up and shortly after I started getting these pains from my mid to lower back with a bit of nausea that came and went as I walked home. Then halfway home I noticed my hands were REALLY swollen. I came home, had a big glass of water, and laid down for an hour nap. The swelling has gone away but back is still on and off sore. Is this something I should call the midwives about? Or am I fine so long as swelling doesn't return? Had an apt yesterday and BP was 107/74 and there was no protein in the urine.
I made the mistake of having PF Chang's lo mein for dinner last night. Swelling is OUT OF CONTROL today. trying to force water but it's not helping yet.....
My eyes feel super dry and scratchy. Not sure what that is about. Also around my belly button feels like it's on fire.. I think it's just super strained or something.
@RunBooRun my grandmother was telling me a couple of days ago that when she was pregnant her contractions would start in her back, just above her hips, and radiate to her abdomen for the "peak" of the contraction.

Thanks @RunBooRun!! I've got so many. My heartburn has been insane after not having it all pregnancy. Isn't it supposed to stop when the baby drops? It's been the opposite.
I'm also randomly an insomniac now. I'm not even in pain at night, but I keep waking up and then just laying there for an hour without being able to sleep. Why!!!!?!?!
I haven't had any food cravings this entire pregnancy, and instead have had some aversions. Namely, my sweet tooth disappeared. Well, at just shy of 38w, it's back. And it brought friends. Despite making sure to have healthy, hearty meals like broccoli soup and veggie chicken pot pie in the fridge, today I ate: two hot dogs, chips and dip, three brownies, and a packet of pecan pinwheels. And just barely stopped myself from picking up some Chinese fast food on my way into work tonight.
I've had a lot of heartburn issues for the past 3-4 years, GI doctor visits, scopes, meds, everything. The minute I got pregnant- 0 heartburn for the past 9 months! Until I woke up to pee at 3:30 this morning. 9 months worth of heartburn hitting me all at once. Maybe it's a fluke? Or maybe the burning fires of hell I feel in my chest and back of my throat are back for good ☹️.
I'm very very leaky this week. Anyone else? Very thin watery discharge. If it was constant every time I stood up I would probably assume it's a slow leak but I'm feeling a little tiny gush every now and again. Last night I had to change my underwear 2 times right before bed and again at 3am I woke up to what might have been a little bit of weak bladder or just watery discharge.. who knows but it's getting annoying.

Can't hurt to call your doctor. In my experience it wouldn't be a constant slow leak, but maybe a trickle with little gushes when your uterus contracts. Sorry if tmi, but does it have an odor? Amniotic fluid is odorless.
No odor. It's hard to tell because sometimes it's clear like water and sometimes it looks like discharge but could be a mix of both. I see my midwife on Monday, think it's worth a call before Monday? ETA: my ultrasound last week my fluid levels were great.

I'm with you On the heartburn and insomnia both! I'm at home on bedrest and I get my best sleep when my husband leaves for work but it's only about 2-3 hrs worth. I wake up anywhere from 1am-5am every night and stay up for a few hours at a time! The heartburn is awful and it doesn't matter what I eat if I'm laying down or sitting up. I haven't found much to help just still on the tums train. I'm sorry I don't have any solution to help you but I can say I'm right there with you!
@Burrberrymum I would call the nurses line but I'm that person who always says when in doubt call. If your gut is telling you it's discharge then trust yourself
38 weeks today and I feel freaking HUGE and sore and can literally grasp the babys tiny heel when she moves her feet a certain way against my stomach! Not so much round, but I have that torpedo belly going on and my bellybutton has just kind of flattened out with the stretching haha. Nesting like crazy today too, organized and folded both my toddlers clothes, got rid of a bunch of their old clothes and baby stuff we replaced, battled with the babys PnP for an hour before it got assembled, and dyed my hair because apparently that was super necessary. My DH and 3yo are gone until Tuesday so I need this baby to hang tight till then! Who else is still pregnant?
@silverbulletband def still preggo over here. Thought this whole time I'd be early, but 39 weeks now and now leaning towards going overdue. Joy!
good luck @Burrberrymum! Sorry you have to go into an indication, but I've heard second babies come much more quickly since your body's been through it once already!
@silverbulletband Still pregnant over here too! I feel like I'm the size of a house and there is absolutely no indication this baby is planning on making her grand appearance anytime soon.
Good luck tomorrow @Burrberrymum!!! You will get to hold your baby so soon!
Still pregnant. I have one more week of work. And 2 weeks till due date! Wahoo! I flip flop from having no energy, no appetite, and feeling like I've been hit by a bus to being a ravenous energizer bunny.
I find it impossible to get comfortable. When I lay down my carpal tunnel gets so bad it's like lightning in my hands. When I sit up baby's feet push into my ribs and standing is painful in these big swollen feet. I just can't win
Good luck @Burrberrymum!!!! Hope everything goes well!
@silverbulletband my belly button has flattened out into being non existent too lol it's the strangest thing!
@BaylieGirl I'm in the can't get comfortable camp too dealing with the same issues
Last night we went out for what's likely our last dinner date night as a couple before LO, and I either ate too much or things I shouldn't have because I was up all night from the acid reflux & feeling like I had to puke. I moved around from the bed to the couch to the guest room to the couch again trying unsuccessfully to make sleep happen.
@Burrberrymum you got this mama!! I was induced with both my babes. 1st one took 4days, this one (once PIT started) took 1HOUR - so try not to be discouraged by a timeline. Your body will take however much time it needs to bring your baby into this world! Goodluck!
I have been having on and off nausea since yesterday - I actually woke up in the middle of the night and had to have a quick snack because I felt so nauseous. Loads of pressure as well, and my energy has taken a nosedive this weekend! Fortunately, when I sleep, I am deeply deeply asleep, which is a change from the past few weeks.
@Burrberrymum good luck! My Twin A was born 9 hours after they started my induction (and I pushed for a long time), so hopefully this induction will be faster than your last!
Today has been tough. I'm antsy, having mild contractions every hour or so, nauseated, and started diarrhea. Maybe early labor? I'd rather not have to go to work tomorrow, but I'm only 38 weeks today so this could last a while
I have been having contractions the past two nights. Only at night...not during the day at all. They are irregular but semi-painful. I keep wondering if it's early labor...but then no.
I started to lose my Mucus plug today. Just noticed blobs of egg shell white mucus on the pad a few times today which has now brought on major anxiety. I can't believe baby can come at any time. So scared

I'm so bummed. This is what happened with my daughter and I only had her 26 hours later. It's such a long long process. 50% effaced and only 1cm.
good luck @Burrberrymum! Sorry you have to go into an indication, but I've heard second babies come much more quickly since your body's been through it once already!
