Any new symptoms or changes? I sneeze a lot. I'm not normally much of a sneezer but wow, do I sneeze a lot now.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Just planned to visit my home area the first week of April while my nieces/nephews are on spring break. It'll just be DD and I going as DH is in a Big Crunch time at work. Looking forward to being there but not the long drive.

GTKY: Growing up, what is the favorite trip you took with your family or friends? Family wise, we used to travel every spring break until my oldest sister graduated from high school. My favorite was a tour of the south where we went to Chattanooga, Charleston, and somewhere in Florida. We stopped at plantations (I love the history of them), the ocean, Ruby Falls, Chattanooga Cho-acho, and more.

I have days where I want to eat anything and everything in sight. Also been getting lightheaded sometimes and short of breath, even whenI'm just laying on my couch. And headaches..ugh! I plan on asking my doc about the lightheadedness tomorrow

huge rant is the poops! I'm either super constipated or quite the opposite. I just want some normal poops back in my life!! lol
GTKY: Growing up, what is the favorite trip you took with your family or friends?

Every year my entire extended family on my mom's side (she's one of six) goes to the beach in July. We've stayed at the same condo since as far back as I can remember. It's what I look forward to every year. Unfortunately I have to skip it this year because it's a week and a half before my due date, and I'm not risking it! But I can't wait until next year to bring my little one!!

I'm not nauseous but I am gagging a lot by smells and my congested sinuses. That's definitely new.

There was an intense forecast for snow this weekend but not anymore! SPRING!!!

GTKY: Growing up, what is the favorite trip you took with your family or friends?
We went to Kings Island every year but that's about it. We didn't travel or vacation much. I'm changing that with my family!!

@morgy_bee Our snow amounts have increased for the weekend

. We always went to Cedar Point. I've started to take DH when we are back that way during the summers and I'm not pregnant or nursing. Love roller coasters! Can't wait to take the kids when old enough.

Any new symptoms or changes? Getting a very obvious bump now, YAY! And based on advice here, I bought a body pillow vs. any of the 'pregnancy pillows' and I'm loving the decision - slept with it last night for the first time and it made sleeping on my side SO much more comfortable. If anyone is interested, I bought the Pinzon pillow from Amazon - only $32, 54" long and SUPER fluffy. I'm in love! DH isn't sure how he feels about me snuggled up to it all night hahahahahaha.

I just posted this on the 'newborns at weddings' thread but i'm so mind-boggled, it's going as my rant for today too - I just learned that I've been spelling 'dilemma' wrong my whole life. What the heck? I learned it as 'dilemna', which gives me the little red squiggles when I type it on here. Did anyone else learn it that way? GTKY: Growing up, what is the favorite trip you took with your family or friends?
We have distant relatives that own a lodge in the boundary waters of northern MN - we'd go up there in the summer and fall and it was so gorgeous. I enjoy vacations that are quiet and peaceful - and sneaking away into one of the un-rented cabins to read a book all day on the patio overlooking the lake was absolutely perfect. I want to take my growing family up there one day, the memories I made there are definitely warm favorites.

Any new symptoms or changes? I started getting leg cramps and need to be careful when stretching in the evening when I go to bed. Also, found out the hard way that yes, your blood does have a harder time clotting when you're pregnant...

Rant- my MIL is extravagant and my parents are frugal. Normally this is not an issue. MIL is hosting the baby shower and ran with her ideas. My parents tried to veto "open bar" because of liability issues, so they claimed in an e-mail to me last night. First, WTF, were they not at our wedding? Do they not offer guests wine and beer when they have people over? The real issue is they didn't want to pony up. All I want at my shower is fucking mimosas (I never said open bar) so 40 women aren't locked in a room on a gorgeous summer day watching me open breast pumps and butt cream without something to take the edge off. I never said I wanted open bar, I said all I required was mimosas for the guests. The shower can be in a home or a park pavilion for all I care, the fancy restaurant wasn't my choice and if it was too expensive they should have vetoed it a month ago before MIL put down a deposit. Just have some damn alcohol ok??

GTKY: Growing up, what is the favorite trip you took with your family or friends? We were fortunate to travel quite a bit when I was growing up, but every year we took a camping trip to Door County, Wisconsin. Those camping memories are my fondest and I still love DC even though I haven't even gotten to visit now in years. I took DH up there in our early dating days but he's not much for camping or hiking so we haven't been back together. My parents got sick of the work of camping too so they haven't gone in years. Boo.

Camping trips in New Mexico, I love the outdoors! Those trips top Disney Land/Disney World.

Upcoming appointments this week? Monday 3/13, check-up with midwife, then anatomy scan on 3/27...i can't wait!

Any new symptoms or changes? Feel my hunger level going up, and my bump is showing. Can't wait to have it full out on display! Also, having weird dreams now...very vivid dreams...

Rants/Raves/Questions? I think i felt the baby last night! I woke up and i was on my back and i felt a "pulse" feeling down there. Not sure if it was the baby or if i was feeling achy for being on my back. Let's see if it repeats...

GTKY: Growing up, what is the favorite trip you took with your family or friends? Would have to be disney with my family. That was fun, took 2 weeks off, we drove down to DC, then down to Florida. I still love road trips!

I was just thinking the same thing.. yummm. My parents had a mimosa bar at my bridal shower and people loved it. I think your parents are being unreasonable. No one said they had to get top of the line champagne, especially if you're adding OJ to it!

I had my appointment two days ago and all looks healthy and great. This time I brought 4/5 kids to the appointment and they loved hearing new baby's heartbeat (150 bpm)

Any new symptoms or changes?
My headaches seem to be lessening, thankfully.

I LOVE feeling the tiny little kicks from baby!!

GTKY: Growing up, what is the favorite trip you took with your family or friends?
Every year my family went to a little town in Idaho called Lava Hot Springs where my parents had a time share...tubing down the river there was my favorite. My family also took multiple cross country road trips growing up because my dad is a huge fan of road trips (which is why I've been fortunate enough to have gone to 41/50 states) which were always amazing. But one of my favorite exotic trips with my family was when I was 15 years old and we flew to Brazil and hopped all around that beautiful country...we even got stuck in a cranberry bog along the Amazon River and we saw pink dolphins swimming alongside us, so many amazing experiences from that trip!

@DeansGirl14 As someone who hates OJ and loves bellinis, highly recommend a few juice options at the mimosa bar that you should obviously have. Very popular at a bridal luncheon I went to last spring!

insomnia. I forgot how much it sucks. Last time I could at least nap in the daytime. That doesn't happen with a toddler.

I don't have one that sticks out. However, we went to visit relatives every year in Florida and i loved it.We went there so often that it felt like home to me!

@Kudlica27 the fastest DH and I ever made it was 8 hours. That's before kids. Now it's a minimum of 10.5 hrs.

Upcoming appointments this week?

I had my anatomy ultrasound this morning! Generally everything looks good. We'll see what doctor says next week. We also learned that it is a boy!

Any new symptoms or changes?

I'm feeling my little man move around more and more, and my bump is quite prominent now. I'm definitely enjoying it.

Rants/Raves/Questions?

I've been super restless at night. Even with a maternity pillow it's tough to relax sometimes. Any suggestions?

GTKY: Growing up, what is the favorite trip you took with your family or friends?

My family went to Bodega Bay at least once every summer. I always enjoyed a beach day, since I grew up in an inland area.

@Kudlica27 probably leave in the morning and get there by dinner. When DD was only 4 months old my dad, mom, and brother were in a horrible car accident (hospitalized). I drove there alone then. That trip made me really nervous but I'm not dreading this one as much.

Had my weekly shot appt today. I've had no issues from the progesterone injections thus far. Next week, is my 20 wk appt with the ob and an ultrasound to monitor my cervix. Excited to see my little girl again!

Any new symptoms or changes?
Nothing new. Most days I don't even feel pregnant. Yesterday my left hip was bothering me and today it's fine.

Rants/Raves/Questions?
I can't believe I'm almost halfway and haven't done a single thing around the house to prepare or bought anything. I figure when it's warmer I will get around to it. My son came 4 wks early so I should get my butt moving.

I love how I feel the baby all day now. I can faintly see her movements now from the outside.

Las Vegas to see Paul McCartney with my ex husband.

@brookedeyo @bumpybump I walked around work asking everyone (seriously, this has broken my brain today) and it was about half and half! So so strange. My third grade teacher even taught us to pronounce it dilem-na in our head so we'd spell it 'right.' I know it's kinda pathetic to be so obsessed with this but I was a spelling bee winner n like 5th grade, I'm supposed to be excellent at this lol

I had a package of a bunch of clearance maternity clothes from Old Navy. Someone helped themselves and stole it off my porch.

In the summer, my grandparents would rent a beach house and all my aunts, uncles and cousins would go spend a weekend. Those family gatherings were the best.

@Feliciosity I wish I had something to help the insomnia too. I toss and turn all freaking night. Some days I can barely function at work! I was almost a better functioning human in the first trimester! lol.
