Re: Pregnant after IF Check-in 3/8
Let's make this a supportive and safe space to post
1) How far along are you? 8+5
2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Great physically. A little nauseous right now, but tbh that's because I just ate about 8 starbursts in a row. Emotionally, so much better than last week. I was convinced after my symptoms disappeared two weekends ago that I was going to get bad news, and last week's ultrasound went a really far way to increasing my confidence. It is really scary to see all the ladies leaving lately, though
3) When is your next appointment? Tomorrow!! It's our last appt with our RE and then we graduate. It's bittersweet because a) we love him and all the nurses and b) we will be saying goodbye to weekly monitoring.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions This is my overly emotional pregnancy brain speaking but I'm really happy to have TB and this BMB to chat things out with
5) GTKY: What is your favorite vacation you've taken? Or where is your dream destination? DH and I went to Jamaica for our honeymoon and it was fantastic. My dream destination is Australia
Eta: Just looked at the board organization thread and this is scheduled for Thursday's, whoops. Apparently I have a mental block around getting this dang thread right! Oh well, better early than never, right?
1) How far along are you? 8w2d
2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically I'm feeling lazy. I gave no energy and when I do find a little energy the nausea takes care of that. Emotionally I'm feeling anxious. I'm looking forward to being out of the 1st trimester.
3) When is your next appointment? Next Wednesday
4) Rants/Raves/Questions Nope!
5) GTKY: What is your favorite vacation you've taken? Or where is your dream destination? Last summer DD and I went to Florida and Georgia, just the 2 of us. It was so nice spending that time with her (she was almost 3 at the time). It also made me do things out of my comfort zone because DH wasn't there to do them for me or with me. We spent some time at the beach, went to an aquarium and stayed a couple days in a Disney resort (we didn't go to the parks, just the resort and downtown Disney). It was a really special time.
@Colada584 that sounds like a sweet trip and memory to have with your daughter

@ChocolateIsLife Firstly, awesome sn lol. I'm craving chocolate right now. Also, jerk chicken is the best!! The people in Jamaica are so so nice. We stayed at an all-inclusive for a week and it was just a dream vacation, without breaking the bank. I want to go back, but when I can drink again, lol.

That was a long long novel just to reassure you that the fear will get better! Also, I'm a fellow PCOSer
@bluejeanbabi05 I am non-IR so I only started Metformin at my request after hearing about other non-IR PCOSers taking it and having positive effects. I've been on it for about 5 months.

@ChocolateIsLife I meant to ask you about this dayssss ago but did you end up making that chocolate cake and more importantly did you get to enjoy it?
@bluejeanbabi05 hooray for graduating from the RE! As much of a loss as it might feel, so happy for you that you're hitting that milestone.
@Colada584 **hugs** and I'm sitting with you, also anxious to get out of 1st tri. I got to a good place after passing my 6+2 loss milestone but the late 1st tri losses are reminding me that I'm still going for the possibility and not guarantee of this LO.
1) How far along are you? 8+5

@hunnybunny17 yeah, metformin was amazing for me. It regulated my cycles right away. How long do your doctors have you continuing it into your pregnancy? Mine want me to keep taking it the whole time. I'm curious what others are doing.

2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally?
So much better! Finally! My morning sickness was intense and all day with vomiting and acid reflux, but since Saturday last week it started to ease off a little and although I still have some nausea and the occasional bad day, I'll take it!
3) When is your next appointment?
23rd March for our 12 week scan and last appointment with our clinic :S
4) Rants/Raves/Questions
We had a 10 week scan yesterday and it was incredible, we saw the baby wiggling and waving and it looked so much more like a real baby. SO had the biggest grin on his face the whole time. We also did the harmony test so we are hoping everything is low risk with baby and we are super excited to find out the sex next week!
5) GTKY: What is your favorite vacation you've taken? Or where is your dream destination?
I love visiting my dad in Mykonos, I've been many times but when we went last year we found the most beautiful windmill apartments to stay in and it was heaven.
@hunnybunny17 it's great to see you here!
TEAM: PINK!!
@bluejeanbabi05 I'm not sure how long I'll be on it. I haven't seen my doc yet to know, but I expect to be on it until at least the end of first tri. I've heard/read some stopping after BFP, some after first tri, and some take it the entire pregnancy. It's interesting there's such varied opinions.

I had my first appointment with my OB today after graduating from RE. I think I am going to miss the clinic, because everything seemed so fast paced and rushed. I think he is a great doctor though, and he told me that he likes to be very straightforward, and if there is anything that worries him, he will communicate it to me and not hide things. Hearing this made me feel so much relief, because that is something I actually worry about. I don't want things to be sugar coated to spare my feelings, so this will be a good fit! Also, he gave me his personal cell number that I should call if i have any issues after hours or weekend. Other than that, we had our scan, and I am measuring just a few days behind, but he said it is probably due to the angle, but its not something to worry about. My blood pressure was low, which could explain why i keep getting light headed. He said the heartbeat was great, and we took a cell phone pic of the ultrasound. The ultrasound was interesting. I couldn't stop laughing because my uterus currently is shaped like a penis, and he said is probably due to gas/bloat. It is part of the reason he had difficulty measuring the little lady. I have been so gassy the past few days so it makes sense, just an unfortunate shape!

1) How far along are you? 8+2
2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally? pretty good. More tired this week with more smelling aversions which is kinda weird.
3) When is your next appointment? Tuesday, my last one with my re before I graduate
4) Rants/Raves/Questions also feeling the mixed emotions of leaving the re. I've been spotting nonstop literally, found out I have a SCH, just not ready to stop the weekly ultrasounds! First ob appt is two weeks later.
5) GTKY: What is your favorite vacation you've taken? Or where is your dream destination? our honeymoon in Punta Cana or our trip to Hawaii. I really just want to go relax by a pool in the warmth for a week!
