Anyone else slightly disappointed in family and friends lack of excitement for their 2+ pregnancy? I in no way expected the excitement and attention I had for my first bc having your first baby is VERY exciting but I was just surprised at how indifferent everyone seems. I got a quick "congrats" but half of my family never even asked when I was due or anything. Please tell me it's not just my family haha?
Re: Lack of excitement for 2nd+ pregnancy?
Yes, I did find that. However, my DH and I also felt like DS2 was our personal baby and that was nice. We kept him a secret for longer, we didn't feel pressure to show him off, relatives didn't hog him as much. We had him in January when all the parties were over so we just nested and cuddled. It hurts because the 2nd (or beyond) is as meaningful to you as the first - but the attention is not there.
