I meant to post this earlier but I was crazy busy today.  Since there seems to be a few more of us this week :)

You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on not TTC and connect with others who are in the same boat. TTC can be a long journey, and having to wait makes it feel even longer -- even if it is for a good reason. I invite you to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this like an ongoing conversation.

Benched = involuntarily not NTNP/TTC and "out of the game," usually due to medical reasons
TTA = avoiding pregnancy by using protection or FAM, usually for non-health-related reasons __________________________________________________________________

    Pretty good this week. I've been so busy so that has really helped.

    None really today.

    I love to get my nails and toes done.

    What brings you here? Waiting for my husband to be on board.

    How long do you think you'll be here? Hopefully no more than 2-3 months

    How have things been going? Today has been rough.

    Any R/R? **TW for story involving existing child**
    This morning my almost 4 year old came to me and asked if she could wear her new, "big girl" swimsuit when we go to the beach this summer. I tell her of course she can and then keep doing whatever I'm doing. She then comes back and says "Good! I want to give my baby swimsuit to my baby brother or sister! I can share all my toys, too! What can we name my baby brother or sister?" My heart just shattered. 
    She talks about a baby brother/sister without prompting pretty frequently so it's not anything new. For whatever reason, it just stung extra today and I've been irrationally sad about it all day. **End TW**

    GTKY: What is your favorite way to pamper yourself? Taking a nap. I'm such an old lady at heart.

    @notthefather It must be hard to hear her desire while you're in this waiting period! You're getting close though!! Also-- I love me a good nap!

    GTKY: What is your favorite way to pamper yourself: I'm really not much of a pamper-er..is that a word?! I do like the occasional gel manicure, it is a nice treat for me!

    We are TTA at the moment.

    What brings you here? 
    I have baby fever SO BAD and I need something to occupy my time til we can TTC!

    How long do you think you'll be here? 
    We just moved up TTC from our original plan of August to June!  Woo!  And...I'm pretty sure I can convince my DH to start in May.  I'm telling you, the baby fever is unreal.  My DD (13 months) is at such a cute age, I want to have another like yesterday.  :)

    How have things been going?
    Meh.  I have been doing great avoiding snacks and trying to diet but the scale is being super stubborn and it's super frustrating!  One of the main reasons we're TTA is for me to lose the last 15 pounds of baby weight.  It's important to me because I was 15 pounds over my happy weight when I got pregnant the last time, so I'm currently *30 pounds* over that now and I feel it.  I want to be in better shape for my next pregnancy than I was for my last, but I am getting discouraged.  Trying to just keep going through my plateau and not stress!

    Any R/R?
    I guess the above answer was my rant!  Ha.

    GTKY: What is your favorite way to pamper yourself?
    I don't really!  I'm terrible at that.  But I'm planning on getting a massage and a facial (my first!) on Mother's Day weekend.

    What brings you here? Still deciding if we are going to pull the trigger, plus we want to wait for a 2018 baby for a couple reasons.

    How long do you think you'll be here?  Originally I thought May/June now I'm thinking June/July

    How have things been going? I'm getting more and more on board where DH seems to be getting more stressed about it, even though the original conversations have been lead by him.

    Any R/R? What's R/R?

    GTKY: What is your favorite way to pamper yourself? Reading a a book alone in bed.

    Hi Ladies, I've been posting in the TTGP board, but I think this is a better place for me right now. I'm so happy this board is starting to pick up again!

    @LivingTheDream - R/R means rants and/or raves :)

    Are you benched or TTA? TTA due travel plans and wanting the baby to be born at the earliest January 2018.

    What brings you here? BOTB!

    How long do you think you'll be here? Until the end of April or beginning of May. 

    How have things been going? Things are going pretty good, work is really busy so that's making the days go by faster.

    Any R/R? Nothing at the moment.

    GTKY: What is your favorite way to pamper yourself? I like to get pedicures in the summer months. I live in Canada and there's no need to get my toes done when I'm always wearing boots.

    @maureenmce Yes 13 months is such a cute age!!!! Both DH and I have gone from wanting only 1 baby, 2 max, to maybe let's just have as many babies possible... 

    Are you benched or TTA? Both kind of. 

    What brings you here? Thinking about making more babies soon!! Just waiting on my period to get back mainly. 

    How long do you think you'll be here? Weaning at the moment, so I'm not sure when I'll start ovulating but hopefully soon. In an ideal world, we'll concieve in May! 

    How have things been going? Fine, just getting excited about babies :)

    Any R/R? OK so DH and I have both decided on working on losing weight. All of a sudden, DH looks super skinny and fit and he hasn't even tried!!!! Meanwhile, Im working out and I think I'm gaining!! Gahhh. Probably has to do with my wacky hormones while breastfeeding/weaning. I'm happy for DH though, really, just more frustrated at my body. 

    GTKY: What is your favorite way to pamper yourself? My favorite way is getting a massage, though it's rare. Getting one on Mother's day though, woo!

    @fishee333: your R/R reminds me of a commercial where the man does nothing and loses weight and the woman does everything and loses little. I know it's frustrating but don't give up! Pay more attention to how your clothes fit than what the scale says.

    I really like it. It's nice to read something short. Similar to The Cursed Child. Not as good as HP, but a good quick HP-like read.

    @glitzandglitter : Isn't it written like a screenplay? If so, I don't think I could get into it.

    What brings you here?  DH and his (perfectly reasonable) need for sanity since we already have five kids and that's obviously plenty!  Sigh.  Not giving up...

    How long do you think you'll be here?  Probably until May or June 2018.  If DH ever agrees to one more.

    How have things been going?  Eh, can't complain.  Not to rub it in for all those dealing with real winter BUT the sun and amazing summery weather are back, hopefully for the rest of the season, here in SoCal.  This weekend the big kids had a two-day-long epic water balloon fight, so I was able to get stuff done in the house.  And our friends came over with their little one, who is almost exactly the same age as Georgie, so that was fun.

    R/R: Meh, not really.  Our oldest keeps getting in trouble for talking during class.  But #3 might be one of the finalists for her class in Toastmasters.  :)

    Favorite way to pamper yourself?  It's a tie between napping and reading a book!
