WTF DD who is usually a AMAZING sleeper thought last night was a night not to sleep and just cry and scream unless someone was with her namely mommy. Uh I'm sooooooo tired today plus I was already having a hard time sleeping because I a very nagging feeling of wanting to throw up and it was hard to find a position to lay in that didn't make it worse.
My wtf is to my bff who just had a baby. My girls and I went over there yesterday and had hardly gotten through the door before she was shoving the baby at me asking 'want him?' He was sleeping and so was her toddler. I don't really know why she always does that but I have 2 of my own and am now in the hell that is first trimester. I just want to sit on the couch with you and catch up. Or maybe the wtf is to me. Why don't I love to hold other people's babies?
We have a training today and they are providing boxed lunches...with only deli meat sandwiches. WTF. Sigh. If I take my own lunch people will ask me why, if I don't eat, I'll starve. Apparently no one asked for a vegetarian option so I can't even try that. Guess I'll just snack a lot before then and eat the apple that is always in the box.
@jess0211 While you should do whatever you feel comfortable with, there's really no reason to avoid deli meats. The listeria risk is higher from salad and dairy. You could always microwave the sandwich if you would feel better about it.
I got my first BFP that I didn't have to guess if a line was there on Sunday. I showed DH as soon as I got it. He was happy but shortly after he said, "Don't get too excited just in case." WTF. I laid all three tests out from the previous days and showed him the line getting darker. I took my last test today just to show him this one is even darker. I know anything can happen but please just be happy in the moment.
@adirat and @jess0211 Now I'm worried. We ordered in lunch today for our intern's last day from a deli and I ordered a salad thinking I needed to stay away from the deli meat and now I'm worried about my salad. WTF to all my worrying and anxiety.

@av2323 yup we have DS's birthday party on Saturday and watching the temp take a nose dive on Saturday with a chance of snow kills me! We're not planning anything outside but yuck.
WTF to my doctor's office. I like my doctor. I like the NP. I like the nurses or NAs or whatever. But her office staff fucking sucks. Had my appointment yesterday and expected to have a scan per the discussion I had when making said appointment. No scan scheduled, no U/S tech there. Oh yeah and apparently I have to get scans elsewhere now because m insurance didn't/won't reimburse them? So that's going to be two separate appointments every time I need one not to mention a $50 copay for each U/S. So also WTF to HMO insurance. But I guess I shouldn't bitch too much because my bill for pregnancy/birth will be $0.
@daisymae6215 girl there's are so many things to 'worry' about while pregnant. You just have to decide how much you're going to stress about it. I eat all the things while pregnant...
@daisymae6215 if it makes you feel any better I ended up eating a turkey sandwich and a salad today. I am eating all the things today. @heatherdubrow and @adirat thank you ladies for your wisdom!
I wish there were better info that is reliable and factual about what is safe and what to avoid. I did a bunch of research on this while ttc, and the only foods that are "proven" harmful are high-mercury fish. Is everything else BS? How is that possible?
And the things that listeria has been in recently -- shredded cheese, flour, vegetables, spinach -- it's like what is even the point of trying to avoid it?
DD is home sick, and I was half asleep laying with her, watching cinderella from our DVR. There was an ad for a chicken sausage apple sandwich. I kept thinking how good that sounded and realized it was old recording and they don't have them anymore pregnant girl problems. Nothing sounds good, and the random thing that does I can't have. Wth dunkin for getting rid of them, and they sound disgusting. Why do I think I need it so badly?
My husband spilled the beans to my 3 year old. We had talked about not telling them until MUCH later. However, I've been sick in the sink so much during dinner that DS was getting really worried and DH finally lost all patience telling him I was okay and told him, "Well, you might get a little brother or sister." I was so pissed but luckily my son just rolled his eyes and yelled, "I don't think so!" I'm glad he didn't believe DH for now and it will be fun to see his reaction when my stomach really starts getting big. But WTF, DH. Keep it together, man.
@Roliepoliecoley4 I hear you on the "nothing sounds good to eat". I know I should be eating, but nothing seems appetizing besides food with melted cheese or sweets.
I'm 4 weeks + 3 days. I've already told my mom, but that's basically it besides my partner and a couple close friends. My mom is visiting family and messages me and asks if she can tell some of them. I told her no, and she basically badgered me for hours about it. She wanted to "see the looks on their faces". Like damn, it's my news! It's too early! Also, she thinks some of my family won't be supportive since I'm married to a woman, as they've made not-nice comments about two women raising a kid. I know they are assholes, and no, I don't need to know their reaction. Anyways, WTF at my mom trying to make my pregnancy about her.

@captainfoxtrot that must be so aggravating (and totally what I would expect from my Mom as well), it is your news to share when and how you want! And with people who will be happy for you!
@captainfoxtrot wouldn't you think the person actually carrying the child would want to see the looks on their faces? I could see my mom doing that, too. But swearing them to secrecy and lying to me that she told anyone lol. I hope those people turn their attitudes around! Two loving parents will be there for this nugget. They should be happy for that.
