Is anyone else struggling to keep things on the down-low at work? I have been
so freakin' tired the last week or two and in the afternoons it's hard to keep my eyes open at mt desk. Just yesterday I debated whether or not I could keep my head down over paper work and make it look like I was concentrating/thinking but was instead sleeping. I'm chomping down crackers like crazy, and I'm just hitting the six-week mark tomorrow so in a way I kind of feel like it's all going to get worse before it gets better.
Plus, my mom gets into town today for a four-day visit. My husband and I aren't yet ready to share the news with anyone until after our first appointment, and moms are pretty hard to fool, so I don't know how I can keep my symptoms a secret from her. Before I left for work this morning, I threw a couple of empty tampon wrappers in the bathroom garbage can to throw her off.

How are you coping at work with keeping your pregnancy a secret either at work or from family/friends? Do you have any tips or tricks that have helped you fool people you're not yet ready to share your news with?
Re: Keeping it a secret in the first trimester - stealthy coping strategies?
I did the same thing with my mom. She asked if I was pregnant, so I kept complaining about my cramps. When we finally told her we were pregnant, her first response was "but what about the cramps?"
As for work, I would close my office door and nap during my lunch break. That's all I've got for you there.
My good friend at work keeps asking if I'm pregnant bc I'm always tired and moody and not eating the same. I blame it on working a lot of overtime and I've had food that doesn't agree with my sensitive stomach (which is actually true a lot!).

Had to employ another sneaky tactic. I needed to vomit at work today so I went two floors down to use the bathrooms there in case if anyone heard me there was a lower chance of bumping into a fellow colleague.
