Re: Weekly Randoms 3/6/17

  • @Sugargirl1019 I know! I was trying not to get my hopes up because they were $13 a pair but I'm super glad I got them.

  • Ugh. Maternity jeans are the bane of my existence. I tried on about seven pairs from different places over the weekend, and I just have SO. MUCH. BUTT. Like, anything that fits in the butt is huge everywhere else, and anything that is comfortable everywhere else is too tight in the butt, and leaves no room for behind growth (which, with this much booty, is inevitable). Also, everything is about seven inches too long, and as DH pointed out, there will come a time when I won't be able to cuff my jeans by myself, haha!

  • @amandarene112 see I have a little bit of a butt but not too much :\ sometimes jeans get saggy on my butt because there's not enough of it there. Ugh. But I'm short and have trouble with the length a lot too lol.
  • @daniellelynette Opposite problems. And don't we always want what we don't have? But hey, I have enough butt for two women, want some of mine?

  • @amandarene112 I would gladly take some more booty lol :D it's so annoying and slightly embarrassing when my jeans get baggy back there! Then it makes them not fit right.
  • @amandarene112

I now have booty booty booty rocking everywhere stuck in my head, but forreal I have the same problem. If it fits the rear it's loose in the front and makes me look like i got a saggy crotch.
  • Yall are making me want to go maternity shopping now. My sister is bringing some clothes down when she visits me in two weeks. Excited!

  • @lahearn18 Saggy crotch is the worst. My friend and I used to joke that it made us look like we were wearing mens jeans, like we should be packing something up there.

  • @amandarene112 YES EXACTLY! I bought a pair of maternity jeans that just have the side panels, don't buy that kind, they slide off, but they give me saggy crotch too! blahh
  • @daniellelynette Yay! I caved and bought maternity jeans at Target this weekend. They didn't have them at Walmart and I didn't want to wait for shipping, because real pants suck. I mostly wear dresses to work fortunately, but it does require me to shave my legs more.

  • @bridge-and-wall I do like target! I've got some Liz Lange maternity jeans from there though and I'm just not a fan!
  • @amandarene112 my mom genuinely thought I was ADHD as a child and wanted to take me to see someone but my dad refused because he doesn't "believe in that psychobabble bullshit."

    Eyeroll. Thanks Dad.
  • @amandarene112 I don't have ADHD but I do get bad panic attacks at times, especially for appointments and things that mess up my normal daily routine. I've found that coloring helps me. Whether it's with different colored pens/highlighters I have at my desk, or recently I've been "coloring" with Paint. I screenshotted a line art picture of Anna from Frozen and I've been using different colors to fill it in. It takes my mind off of things and is relaxing. (And it's something I can click away from easily if someone comes up to my desk.)

  • I'm jumping in late but I saw Walmart and I wanted to pull my hair out lol I hate Walmart! Every single time I go I have a terrible experience
  • @daniellelynette In some ways I'm glad I never took the medications permanently. When I'm on them I focus really well, but I lose my creative edge, and they sometimes triggered episodes of depression. I'm a much better writer without them. But some days are hard, and I probably would have been a straight-A student if I'd had them in school. But I wasn't even diagnosed until I was 26 because ADD presents differently in men and women, and a lot of my symptoms were written off when I was younger as over-corrections for my OCD, or, as one doctor told my parents, side effects from hormones that would go away after puberty. But I was just as spacey and disorganized after puberty as during, and it took finding a doctor who specialized in attention disorders in women to finally get a diagnosis.

  • @mrsmgsee I love coloring! I have a few books that I'm working my way through, and a pack of 100 gel pens. I might go pull them out. Thanks for the idea!

  • @amandarene112 My brother is ADD, and when my mom took him to be evaluated by a child psychologist when he was about 10, she stayed in the room, and the Dr asked her "are you going to be offended if I write you a perscription, too?" Lol, can't exactly say any of us were surprised... she's far more ADD than him.... but we still laugh about it all the time.

@daniellelynette yay for cute (cheap) jeans! They look good on you.

  • @daniellelynette the last pair is my favorite! So cute.

I think I had a 2-3 pairs of maternity leggings, 1 or 2 pairs of jeans, and 2 pairs of shorts, but I can't remember the brands. I haven't broken any of it out yet though because my wardrobe is 95% LuLaRoe and I'll probably be able to wear my OS leggings most, if not all, of the pregnancy. And most of my dresses too.
  • @Sugargirl1019 because they obviously want you to suffer

This is why I bought them online! If I didn't live in BFE I could have had them delivered to my house but that would have taken TWO EXTRA WEEKS and I was like uh yeah no lol. I did have a not so great experience picking them up, it said they were supposed to be in by 6 last night, only one package was there, the other one didn't come in until noon today, so even though it said it was in town they didn't know where it was so I had to sit in the truck with DS and wait for their truck to get there. Which it did about 15 minutes after I got in the truck thank goodness. But I was still unimpressed. But I still really like the jeans and overall I'm glad I got them!
  • @daniellelynette  What brand are your jeans? They're cute! I've been looking, since I don't want to spend a lot on my first pair.

I wish this was posted before I bought my side panel jeans. Mine fall down giving me saggy arse and saggy crotch. It's awful.  :(
  • @kailapop awh so sorry! I bought em bc i liked that they still looked like regular jeans in the front but yeah they slide right off.
  • I feel like my maternity jeans always fall down or get saggy crotch no matter what size/brand I buy. :/

They're the Oh! Mama brand from the Walmart website!
  • I feel like a wimp. This  cold has put me on my ass... I left school early yesterday and didn't go today.

Even through the terrible morning sickness I didn't miss work, but day 4 of a cold and I'm out.

  • Oh. My. Gosh. I saw this on Facebook and it was too funny not to share, this will most likely be me if I have to give the puberty talk to DS... even though I want DH to do it for this exact reason! Lmao. Worth a watch, especially if you need a good giggle today!

Anyone else feel like they've been pregnant forever already? We found out at 9 dpo and so it's literally been since 2016.
Yesss we found out on December 30th at about 14dpo. I thought it was about 12 dpo but nope! I had been taking pregnancy tests for like a week and a half prior to finding out because my cycle was so weird. My last period was November 15th. So it definitely feels like it has been forever!
