@sugargirl1019 it also depends on whether you'd rather answer dumb questions about why you know you'll be induced already (I feel you say sept, but baby will come in august) or whether you'd rather have people think you're further along than you are (why are you small? Is the baby here yet (in July)? Etc. I think it just comes down to personal preference and neither is right or wrong. As long as you stay on this bmb

@Sugargirl1019 I will also be giving birth in August, but for the sake of keeping it simple, I just say September. I did tell my boss that the plan is to devlier at 39 weeks, but that I'll have more information as we approach August and to wait on any decisions until then.
@sugargirl1019 I'll probably be induced early again too but I'm keeping my original due date for when people ask. It's completely normal to give birth any time between 37-42 weeks and you could avoid those annoying "you're STILL pregnant" comments if people think you have longer to go than you really do.
@Sugargirl1019 I think that's a good idea! I don't think the technical difference really matters in your situation since that's when you'll be having the baby, I think it would just be easier for everyone else that way!
@Sugargirl1019 I agree with others... either is fine, it won't be a huge difference. ETA- Also, in my experience people paid zero attention to what the announcement said and continually ask me when I'm due anyway.
@Sugargirl1019 I think I would still put September because people wouldn't be confused as to how far along you are and start asking if the baby is here super early. ETA: Pretty much what everyone else said

See and I think the opposite, I don't think people are going to go that far and equate how far you are with due date, everyone still asks when I'm due anyway too! I don't think most people equate the actual size of the baby and stuff with the due date. Maybe just tell people that baby will be arriving in August? Yeah technically you're due in sept but you pretty much know baby will be coming mid August.. it's all kind of confusing lol
@sugargirl1019 you could also just say "end of august, beginning of September ish" in person and most people know that it can come any time and would be fine with a vague answer if they think you're due on the borderline between months without getting into other stuff.

Oh wow guys thank you! I will have to let DH read these comments so he can have the best idea as to what to do. He wants August because thats the truth. I want to put September .. but I also don't want to seem like I'm "early" when baby comes early.. idk why! But my boss will be told august because let's be honest. She will need to be informed of when delivery will happen and when I won't be there.
Again, Thanks for all your thoughts! Now to edit this picture:
@Sugargirl1019 That is beautiful!!! That field looks like something out of a fairytale! Love it!
Thank you so much, we took that pic ourselves in a local bluebonnet field to announce our first (which we lost a few weeks later). I want to use that picture... the flowers are *not* bloomed quite enough to take another, and I'm lazy and not pretty looking at this stage of pregnancy haha.

@Sugargirl1019 Aww, cute photo! Bluebonnets, cowboy boots, jeans and white shirts. Yall are so Texan And I agree, bluebonnet fields are so beautiful they look fairytale-like.
@Sugargirl1019 I love the bluebonnets! Honestly, I might just remove the date, but that's because I'm terrible with photo editing software and removing the date seems easier.
Look what @mrsmgsee made for me!!!! She did it!! So So so sweet of you! Thank you for editing my words!
Wow! That was really sweet! I love it! And I didn't see everyone else's comments earlier but I can see people starting to ask super early if the baby has come yet!
@Sugargirl1019 I feel your pain. My EDD is Aug 31st, so I'll probably say Sep too. We've told pretty much everyone close and co-workers, but still waiting to make it "Facebook official."
Haha this is one pic we used to announce yesterday.. he gets really excited when we tell him to smile! There may have been some bribery with jellybeans to get him to cooperate..
Here's the other one.. should have been planned a little better because the signs have such little writing, but I figured people could zoom if they wanted to.. haha the message was clear with my son's bee shirt!

@sugargirl1019 our pic is a pic of the 4 scrapbooks I've made since we got married with "Scrapbook #1", "Scrapbook #2", "Scrapbook #3", "Scrapbook #4" labels. Then I have a "Scrapbook #5" with an arrow pointing over to a onesie and baby shoes and another label saying "September 2017"
(actually they're the baby shoes of my brother who was stillborn over 20 years ago that my mom kept for 'just him' - everything else they had for him was used by my living brother who was born later. When I had my loss in the summer, she gave them to me).
We're going to send it out in an email to closer friends and family (we have an email list that we email every now and then updating them on our overseas lives), but we'll wait for facebook a little longer than that. DH wants to wait until the beginning of April to do facebook stuff, and I'm thinking if we wait until then, we might as well wait until the end of April when we can see if it's a boy or girl...it's not like we have any check between now and then to make sure things are still going ok, so that's really the next benchmark of 'safety' if that makes sense....either way, you'll see it on facebook

My DH & I run a theatre company in town, so we went with an arts themed announcement. I admittedly found the inspiration on pinterest, but whipped out the design myself.
I had teased online that we were going to be adding a new world premiere to our current season, and then posted this a few days later.
We were co-starring in a production of 'Peter and the Starcatcher' when we conceived, so I wanted to do a throwback to the Peter Pan origin story with the title.
