Re: STM+ Check In 3/8
How far along are you? 20 Weeks!
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? Hungry all the time, have a lot more energy, pretty typical to last time around. Still my number one complaint is weak bladder, and peeing myself a little when I sneeze! This is not a fun pregnancy symptom and I am not looking forward to it getting inevitably worse over the next couple months...
Rant/Rave/Questions? I got DD her first toy car last night (DH is transitioning to law enforcement, so of course I got her a little police car) She is obsessed with it, and loves pushing the button for the siren and has been crawling all over the house "driving it" around and saying "Rrrrrrr" like she's driving a car. It is so cute! I am loving this age with her.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? I was 5 days late with DD. We scheduled my induction for the following week and she came the next day. I'm hoping I will actually go right around my due date (not too early and not late) but I'm due the 26th and wouldn't be surprised if I have an August baby...
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? Usually finally sitting down on the couch and catching up on all my shows that have piled up. When I'm not pregnant that includes a glass of wine...

What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to previous pregnancies?
Major pubic symphisis pain that radiates into my groin/sciatic nerve, I've developed carpal tunnel in my dominant arm (the numbness is a royal pain in the butt), and my blood pressure is creeping up, which is super annoying, especially since the way to help the blood pressure is more exercise...which is almost impossible when even walking is painful. So that's all super fun. And mild dizziness at night if I lie too flat on my back or get dehydrated. My first pregnancy was a dream, but it's difficult to compare the two, since there are two babies this time around.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
I'm frustrated as all Hell by the above symptoms and the fact that there's not much I can do about them. Combine that with the fact that my husband just went out to sea and my son has been sick, it's been a long week.
Did you go early, on time, or late with your last pregnancy? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around?
I was induced at 38+6 with my son, he was born at 39 weeks exactly. This time around, I'm hopeful that the twins will come on their own, but they will be here by 38 weeks, regardless, because that's he longest doctors will let me go with a multiple pregnancy, especially with my blood pressure issues.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kids are in bed?
Normally, I'd say a big glass of prosecco and a movie with my husband, but that rarely happens, thanks to his sea schedule and the whole pregnant thing. So lately, it's been dinner with my sister and brother-in-law (who live a mile down the road) and some seriously competitive old school Nintendo Game Cube Mario Kart, haha.
William Alexander born 18 September, 2015
Harper Grace born 9 June, 2017
Colton Miles born 9 June, 2017
Bowen James due 19 June, 2019
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? All of the heartburn, which is par for the course on all my pregnancies at this point. Lots of kicks and flips too
Rant/Rave/Questions? Starting to feel like a bad mom, my 2.5 year old isn't potty trained and I am not sure how to tackle it. She talks and knows a lot but she doesn't really use it to communicate - she doesn't ask or tell me things, usually just chatters. I am not sure how to approach potty training if I doubt her ability to tell me when she has to go. I have started trying to get her to tell me more but it seems if anything to have made it worse. I would love to enroll her in preschool for a day or two a week especially when the new baby gets her to get her exposure to more social and structure outside the house but I worry she won't be potty trained by then. And I know o should worry my niece wasn't potty trained till 4 and she is all sorts of sweet, smart and thriving in preschool.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? I went 2-3 weeks early with them, one was induction due to pre-e and the other just a scheduled c-section at 38 weeks
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? Turn off all the lights and electronics/anything that makes noise and stare into the blank abysss for a solid 15 minutes. Then have dinner/dessert with DH and talk and watch tv.
@LuLiLaEv that is adorable! How old is DD?
How far along are you?
20 weeks
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies?
i feel puffy and swollen, and as of this week i feel so much... heavier. i think i just went through a growth spurt.
oh, and the constipation is coming back
Rant/Rave/Questions?
had my anatomy scan yesterday and everything looked good, so relieved! she was moving a lot in there, and got a few good snaps of her - she looks like she has my mouth and chin and his forehead and nose which is exactly the opposite of dd, who has his mouth and chin and my forehead and nose
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around?
late. i started going into labor slowly right on my induction date which was 10 days post-edd so they just checked me in and started the process - after 50 hrs we had a cs, so she's 12 days post-edd.
this time will be completely different - i roll up a week before EDD, get my RCS, meet this kid.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed?
these days if i have the energy, we'll watch some john oliver or other tv; before the pg i was definitely a night owl, reading or something with some wine or beer (dh works in craft beer so we always have a nice selection)
How far along are you?

What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies?
Right now just some contractions and some achey muscles. I did have contractions with DD but not till later. I don't remember to be honest in general, because it's been six years.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
Work is wearing me out lately.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around?
I went past-due by about 10 days with DD even though I had PTL. My doc is worried that I will go early, so I am hoping that is not the case. I'd like to make it to term (like all of us), and with any luck will go late again.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed?
Wine, chocolate, and a good book or a movie with DH. But, most of the time I just go to bed early after DD goes down.

How far along are you? 23 + 4
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? Sciatic and tailbone which I expect to last through pregnancy since it did last time. Heartburn is starting a little bit but so far nothing Tums cant handle.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? I was induced at 8 days late last time. My best friend gets married on July 8 and I am due July 1 so hoping to either be as late as last time or a couple days early so I don't miss the wedding.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? Pre-pregnancy I would pour a glass of wine and either hit my sewing machine or catch up on one of the many shows I'm always behind on. During pregnancy is pretty much the same minus the wine.
How far along are you? 22 weeks, 5 days
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? It's really pretty similar to the last one. A lot of soreness, short of breath, but overall more energy in 2nd trimester.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I am having a hard time being on my feet for any length of time. My legs go numb and my back hurts so bad. I think I'm going to try and get one of those support belts today because I'm going to be on my feet a lot this weekend.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? #1 came at 41 weeks. I had some emergency interventions and a very difficult recovery. So this time I think I will be induced around 39-40 weeks to try and avoid a similar experience.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? Um, go to bed also. LOL
How far along are you? 20 weeks tomorrow
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? My morning sickness is still out in full force and my back is pretty much done by the end of the day. Roughly the same as my last two pregnancies.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I have my A/S today with my MFM and I'm ready to know that everything is okay with this baby. I haven't felt any movement yet and that's got me pretty worried.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? With DS I was a scheduled c-section but I ended up going into labor 4 days before at 39 weeks. With DD I was induced at 39 weeks and then ended up with a c-section. This time I'll hopefully have my c-section at 39 weeks just depends on when they decide to schedule it.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? Since we are living with my IL's I usually fall asleep with them because we all sleep in the same room. But when we all had separate rooms I would catch up on all my shows and eat something good that I hate to share. Only about a week and a half until we get to move into our new house so I'm looking forward to my "me" time again once the kids are asleep, it's especially nice the nights DH works PM's or graveyard shifts because then I really am all by myself and it's magical.

How far along are you? 23 weeks today!
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? SPD in full force, my support belts are helping some, I can walk so that's a plus. Same as the others but it started a lot earlier this time. Still have bleeding gums, I've been trying to snack as often as possible but it dropped this morning as soon as I got out of bed and it hit me hard.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I have no job. I apply to several places on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays since that's when DH has time to keep the kids. When I walk in I feel like they gawk at my belly, no one has called me.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? With DD I went in for induction after my due date, ended in emergency csection, DS was RCS so we went at 39 weeks and same for this one.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? We all go to sleep together. DD is such a busy body that she can not let anyone stay awake after her. I will stay up if I have something I need to do that can't wait until morning.
How far along are you? 19+4
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? Indigestion started Monday so that should be fun for the next 20 weeks. RLP is getting worse.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Sickness has once again hit us. My middle child woke up with fever and not feeling well today. Then my stomach has been off and keep getting cold chills. This is like the 6-7th time since end of Dec.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? My oldest I was induced at 8 days late but didnt have him until 43 1/2 hours later by emergency c-section. My younger 2 were scheduled sections at a little over 39 weeks as this one will be.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? I either curl up with a book or work on craft projects. Right now I have several personalized gifts I'm making for friends or family members who are pregnant around the same time as me.
Popping in because I've been MIA for a while!
How far along are you? 20 weeks today! Crazy I'm halfway through this pregnancy!
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? The heartburn. Oh man... I can't even explain it y'all. NOTHING is helping. I only *thought* it was bad with DS. I'm also noticing I'm getting winded a whole lot faster than a few weeks ago. And it's already getting hard to tie my shoes. I'm doomed! haha
Rant/Rave/Questions? Just been crazy with work. Then I got so far behind that it's been hard to catch up! I have been lurking and love-titting but just haven't found a good time to stick my head in in the middle of a conversation.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? I was 9 days late with DS and then had 29 hours of labor before an emergency c/s. This time, if I go for a VBAC, they aren't too happy about letting you go late but at MOST I can go a week late. If I have an RCS it will be the week before my edd... soooo... basically I have no idea haha.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? Heck, as soon as DS' head hits the pillow I'm in bed within 15 minutes!

What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies?
I've been pretty lucky so far, and this pregnancy has been almost as easy as my first. I'm so sorry for you ladies having a tough time! This stuff isn't fair.
I have a weak bladder this time, which still catches me off guard. Didn't have that issue last time or post-partum. I wear out easier this time, but I think that's due to permanent sleep deprivation from my darling DS!
Rant/Rave/Questions?
Work had been blissfully drama-free for almost two years, since I started WFH. They're relocating a diva asshole dude to Europe, and it's stirring up allllll kinds of drama. Such a waste of my time and energy - I hate it with a passion.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around?
DS was one day late. He measured right on track the whole pregnancy, and my OBGYN basically guaranteed he'd be on time. This baby is measuring big, and for some reason I have a feeling will be a couple days early...but I have zero intuition, so who knows.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed?
I am often finishing my work and conference calls when DS goes to bed. Otherwise I waste hours surfing the internet. I write a monthly column for an online magazine, so sometimes I work on that.
How far along are you? 20 weeks and 5 days
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? Lower back pain if I stand too long. Same as before
Rant/Rave/Questions? Found out the sex today at my very long A/S. It's another girl! Yay! I didn't actually mind, but this is just easier in terms of shopping lol. Plus I did not fancy doing a Bris.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? I was on time!!! Very punctual. I hear it's pretty rare. This time I'm throwing a wild guess of 4-5 days early, because on the ultrasound DD2 measured earlier.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? TV TV TV TV. I love TV more than anything. I also find myself on Reddit a lot lately.
How far along are you? 23+3
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? Dizzy when I stand up didn't have this with my other 2, but know it's quite common.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Nope
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? DS: 4 days early, DD: 6 days early. This one is a scheduled CS (they were CS, but water broke with both, and I desperately tried to go vaginally...), I'm scheduled 7 days early, so I'm hoping I make t that far.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? I FB/Bump and pass out right around 8:30... I'm a party animal!
my happy boy
@LuLiLaEv I know exactly what you mean, every new stage has been better than the last. As sad as it is watching them grow i love it. Bittersweet.
How far along are you? 21w3d
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? So much heartburn, which is worse than last time. Just ordered a support belt, since I'm definitely feeling it when working out.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I can't help but melt every time DS kisses my belly or talks about his sister. He's such a sweetie. He loves to "kiss her head," too.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? 13 days early. It was really great then, and would be great again because I would get more time with her before the school year starts.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? We like to just catch up on shows or FB.
How far along are you?
19 weeks
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies?
Mainly gas and bloating. It's pretty comparable to my previous pregnancy other than the fact that I had pregnancy acne last time around and this time it's been pretty minimal
Rant/Rave/Questions?
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around?
My son was born at 36w after my water broke. I'm definitely hoping this one cooks a lot longer!
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed?
I really like to just turn my mind off an watch some mindless TV!
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? Still some nausea and occasionally throwing up, but only 1-2 times per week. Kidney stones this pregnancy and they are awful! With my DD I had HG for almost the entire pregnancy so this one has been much better in that reguard.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Rant-I feel like my stomach has doubled in size in the last 2 weeks. With my DD, I barely showed till about 30 weeks. With this one, I feel like I popped instantly.
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around? With my DD, I was induced at 36 weeks and 5 days because of pre-e. This one will depend on if my placenta moves or not. If it doesn't, then I will have a C-section between 37-38 weeks.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? Catching up on TV shows or lately, sleeping.
How far along are you?
23 weeks
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies?
Fewer symptoms now but still have light nausea that lasts throughout the day. I've never had nausea this far along. This is the first pregnancy I really can't wait to be over with.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Do you think it will be the same or different this time around?
I had my first the day before, my second the day of, and my third an entire week before my EDD. I am hoping for any of the above this time around. I would hate for this pregnancy to go on any longer.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed?
@LuLiLaEv You are a girl after my heart. I love to unwind at the end of the day by laying in bed and catching up on my shows. Pre-pregnancy I would also have a glass of wine at my side.
What symptoms are you having? How does it compare to your previous pregnancies? Hip/butt pain...pretty much the same as last time, but yoga is helping.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Anatomy scan today. We already know it's a boy, but super excited to get a peek at him!
Did you go early, on time or late with your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? Both boys were two days early and born on full moons. I am expecting timing to be similar this go round, but I already checked the full moon schedule for July and it doesn't look like I'll get a hat trick. Boooo.
GTKY: What's your favorite way to unwind at the end of the day, once the kid(s) are in bed? Binge watching TV shows with my husband.
