Meal delivery anyone?

Hello, this is really specific....sorry if I'm not posting it in the right place but I couldn't find anything when I searched. I was wondering if anyone has tried meal delivery that doesn't include prepping (please don't post about your blue apron experience) I'm sick of crockpot and it's hard to find dairy free casseroles that my dh likes. I was hoping for ready dinners for the first month or two after delivery. I'm looking for fresh and healthy. Has anyone tried anything they liked?

  • And who may I ask are you??? Can't say I've ever seen you post in our Bmb before.

  • Wow, tough group! I left July because I joined them by accident. I was looking for more answers. Can't we just be pleasant to each other?

I don't think anyone was necessarily unpleasant, but you've been around TB, you know it's generally better received when you intro and such.

I haven't used any of these services, but I know there's a meal train service, but that's where friends and family make meals for you, or there's services like Freshology, where they send you prepared meals, but it's not available nationwide. I know locally we have places that prepare meals some with specific dietary requirements and then will deliver them to you.
  • Thank you! TB was a little different 2 years ago....people would just post things they needed help with. Not as many rules. Actually, I just joined back up a day ago while up late with teething baby.

Either way, thanks for being nice about it and for your suggestions. It has been a hard pregnancy and I need some advice on this so that my family can have healthy meals when I'm not doing so well.
  • So you want everyone's advice but who are you?  When is your baby due?  What are you having???  Get where I'm going???   You've been around for a while and should know how our group works.  How did you join and participate in July by accident??
  • Does tb require all of this info to be shared now? I thought these communities were for mom's to get help... not to be hounded and I am uncomfortable sharing all of those details. I scrolled too far and hit the next month by accident. After I posted, I figured out what happened. What's the big deal? Can't I just get advice from other mothers? I'm clearly looking for help and not imposing on anyone or trying to take advantage.
  • Because this is a group of women who've been through quite a lot together as a group.  We've shared stories and our pregnancy trials and tribulations.   I mean it's like you just walking up to a random group of people and asking for advice.  Do you think it would be warmly received?

I understand where you're coming from and thank you for being welcoming. It's hard for an outsider needing help to join an established group especially when met with some of the previous responses. Maybe you could put yourself in my position and understand where I'm coming from. Tb was very different when I was first pregnant. This new system was not in place and there are no real rules for how to join a group. Your Read First thread is split on opinions of how to post.  Maybe when responding to a new person that is clearly looking for help, a simple, 'hello, would you mind introducing yourself' would be more appropriate.
  • @Stankonia2014 suggested you intro yourself.
  • Thank you!

that's all I got. I'm not fully awake yet.
