3. Any upcoming appointments this week? No appointments until next check up on 3/20.
4. Any new symptoms? Getting my energy back. Still dead tired at bedtime though. Also, feel really gaggy at dinner time. Dinner is just hard most nights, not sure why. Also, I think I'm feeling some baby movements when I'm lying down real still, but who knows. Hoping it gets stronger so that I'm more convinced!
5. Rants/ Raves/ Questions? Rave- bought a new car today so I'm super excited about that! Finally have enough room for baby. Rant-spent 5 hours st the dealership and I was ready to faint because I was so starving.
6. GTKY: what traditions are you hoping to pass on to your LO? Always having dinner together as a family. We did that every night as a kid and it was great to have that time together to talk about our day.
3. Any upcoming appointments this week? Not for 3 more weeks
4. Any new symptoms? I am starving in the mornings. The last week I have had to run downstairs to eat something before jumping in the shower!
5. Rants/ Raves/ Questions? DH and I went to BRU registry event and won a whole bunch of free stuff. Hello free playgym!
6. GTKY: what traditions are you hoping to pass on to your LO? DH had to line up on the stairs on Christmas morning for a family picture (of the kids) before opening presents. I would love to do that. I can't wait to capture the look on my LOs face when he/she sees all of the presents under our tree.
The first day May 2007 The yes day April 2012 The best day Nov 2013
@mrsjqg1024 my family also made it a point to have family dinners every possible night. One hint my parents had us do was our "high, low and learned" for the day where we had to to come up with something for each of the three categories. Definitely helped to focus on more than just the negative throughout the day.
1. How far along are you? 16weeks!
2. How big is baby? Avocado
3. Any upcoming appointments this week? Nope. Had one last week
4. Any new symptoms? Not really. Every "bad" symptom is settling down. But boobs have definitely gotten bigger...DH enjoys this aspect lol
5. Rants/ Raves/ Questions? Rave: we are almost done cleaning out the nursery room. The downside to this is that we already moved the twin guest bed out of there and into the room with the dogs...wouldn't be an issue but my mom is staying with us a couple nights this week. Hopefully the dogs don't keep her up because I don't want to move the bed or the two large kennels lol
6. GTKY: What traditions are you hoping to pass on to your LO? Family movie nights and bedtime stories. As my brothers and I got older, those disappeared but my youngest brother and I still hang out and now have movie marathons when I'm in town.

My family did this Exactly! We didn't always have time to do dinner in the evening due to schedules but we always did it on the weekends. If we were home, dinner was always at the table as a family.
3. Any upcoming appointments this week? Check-up on Thursday and we find out gender!!
4. Any new symptoms? None
5. Rants/ Raves/ Questions? Round ligament pain is real! Don't know why it is hitting me at night when sleeping?!
6. GTKY: what traditions are you hoping to pass on to your LO? We took a picture at the Christmas tree every year and I've been doing that with my LO so will continue to do that with both.
1. How far along are you? 16 weeks (+1 today) 2. How big is baby? an avocado 3. Any upcoming appointments this week? Monday Just a HB check though, it'll be great to hear though. 4. Any new symptoms? Nothing new, I'm still feeling really good actually. 5. Rants/ Raves/ Questions? I still have to pee all the time and it's getting on my nerves. 6. GTKY: what traditions are you hoping to pass on to your LO? Christmas morning we would open our stockings, have breakfast, then do presents. I loved the anticipation of just waiting for everyone to finish so we could open everything. I definitely want to do dinner at the dining room table every night, too.
1. How far along are you? 17+1 2. How big is baby? a pear 3. Any upcoming appointments this week? nope 4. Any new symptoms? I am having to go pee a lot more. I don't remember going this much with DS 5. Rants/ Raves/ Questions? Has anyone started to feel the baby move? I feel like I should have but I haven't felt anything definite and it is making me a little nervous. 6. GTKY: what traditions are you hoping to pass on to your LO? I agree with everyone on the family dinners. We always did them and I feel like it was such an important part of my childhood. I am also big on Christmas traditions. We are not religious so DH always rolls his eyes at me but I still love it.
@shyviolet with this baby I started feeling definite movement on Monday of this past week (18 weeks this past Thursday). With my first pregnancy I had an anterior placenta and it was somewhere around 20-22 weeks then. I'm betting you'll feel the baby soon!

@bumpybump Thanks that makes me feel better. I was hoping since my placenta was anterior last time it was just taking me a little longer to feel movement or at least recognize it.
@shyviolet If it makes you feel any better, I haven't felt anything definite either. There was one moment last week when I thought I might have felt a kick, but it hasn't happened since so I'm doubting it actually was one. Hopefully we feel something this week!
@WineAndDogs we did the same. Always had to have breakfast before we opened presents. We still do that to this day even if it's noon before we get to open them!
1. How far along are you? 16weeks (and 2 days now - weekend bumping is hard)
2. How big is baby? avocado
3. Any upcoming appointments this week? Not this week
4. Any new symptoms? Bladder/abdominal pain while running is worsening, which is so sad. I thought this might be the pregnancy I could run through, but I don't think my body was designed for that. Also, my hormones are worsening. My husband said oneeeee wrong thing yesterday and cue hours of tears. I didn't want to be crying at all. I think I terrified him.
5. Rants/ Raves/ Questions? I went to a local prenatal yoga class on Saturday and the group of women there was awesome! I love my running group for the female camaraderie, but feel like this yoga class will be a close-ish substitute if I have to take a running break.
6. GTKY: what traditions are you hoping to pass on to your LO? Oy, DH and I have fairly different holiday traditions (despite both being Catholic, his parents are from Italy). For example, Thanksgiving foods' selection and taste are way different, Santa and his reindeers didn't come overnight ("santa" would usually make an appearance himself on Christmas Eve). Ha, he is also older and from NY and is obsessed with Carvel cakes for birthdays whereas I definitely like real cake and real frosting. We also have to travel to visit his family, which I never had to do growing up so I feel like the travel thing is a whole new tradition. They are a HUGE skiing family though and I love mountains (also grew up skiing) and have really adapted the ski traditions to be signature for our family. We also love the fall festival their mountain has as well and that has definitely become a tradition. In our hometown our daughter loves all of the summer art and 4H fairs/carnivals and hitting up those is something we all look forward to every year (the art ones with my family).
DH did make a beautiful wooden advent calendar for the girls, which has become a tradition for us now, and I have been slowing building out my Halloween and Christmas village collections, which the girls really like as well.
For mamas with due dates of August 5, 12, 19, and 26
