Hi my name is Ashley and I'm prepping for first IVF cycle. Stims start March 16!
History: I'm 33 and DH is 35. No male issues.
Started TCC in 2008. Along the way through 2013, on and off , 5 Chemical Pgs , early losses-HCG never got above 1000. 1 ectopic PG in 2008 that actually looked great numbers wise until tube ruptured right before 1st ultrasound. So I'm missing a left Fallopian tube. I did 1 Natural Cycle IVF in 2014 where the egg took a while to develop and then didn't fertilize.
Started lookimg into into immune causes of losses and got with a doc in DC that does the Beers/ Kwak Kim blood work and discovered compound Hetero MTHFR, and 2 other Clotting issues... Factor XIII V34L and PAI 4g/4g. Also discovered other immune issues-borderline high NKs and TNF-alpha and high CD19CD5 cells-points to Autoimmune issues. Also anemic and low Vitamin D. Research has shown When examined individually, PAI-1 4G/5G (P = 0.009), factor XIII V34L (P < 0.0001), and homozygous MTHFR C667T (P < 0.0001) correlated significantly with recurrent pregnancy loss compared with controls. So I hit the trifecta.
I did 6 TI cycles with baby aspirin and Vitamin D and Fish Oil for inflammation with low dose Gonal F stims but 5/6 times I only got follies ( that looked great) on the left side where I have no tube.
Lomg story short, I'm moving to IVF with an immune protocol. Prednisone, Intralipids infusion, Lovenox, Vitamin D, Fish Oils, special Folate vitamins not folic acid.
My IVF protocol is Antagonist I believe. I'm doing 17 days of BCP them doing 150 each of Follistim and Menopur with Ganirelix added a couple days into it and then doing PIO shots as my progesterone even in the ectopic was low with doubling betas.
