I'm 8 weeks pregnant. A couple of times, I've had really bad cramps before I need to go to the bathroom. Once I go, the cramps go away. Is this normal? I got scared the first time it happened because it lasted for about 30 minutes and it was really painful.
I have the same things happening. I'm 7+1, and almost once a day I get the horrible cramping and either have a bowel movement or let out some gas. Usually yhe cramping lasts for anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. My OB gave me stool softeners, which help, and also up your water intake - that helps me as well. But overall OB wasn't worried about it.

Sounds like it's constipation (possibly organs moving although a little early IMO) which is normal. Get used to it because it will most likely continue throughout the pregnancy. I have had to find ways to get more fiber and protein in my diet (ex: granola bars) and it seems to help with that.
