  • Good Morning All! Got up extra early today because DH had to be at work on hour earlier than usual

Month/Cycle: 7/6 (3/3 AL) Month rollover :( FX I don't have to rollover the cycle too

    CD/DPO: 24/4

    Timing: -5, -3, -1

    Testing: 3/8 @ 10dpo

R/R: I worked late everyday this week so far so I get to leave 2 hours early today :)

CS/Q: Nothing today, thank you for the help yesterday. Temp this morning way up so I'm feeling much better

GTKY: Have you ever re-gifted an item? If so, what was it and why? If not, what is something that you would re-gift?
DH's ex-girl friend (they both play the same dork game so we see her a few times a year) gave me a bottle of wine that I had tried before so I knew it was gross. DH was hosting a dork game day at our house and since I cook for them all the guys usually bring me wine (I have them very well trained ;), a couple of them will even fix stuff around the house for me).

    Timing:-2, 0

Testing: too many already *hangs head in shame* all BFN but it's so early so I can't really be surprised

R/R: Rant: my f**king brain. I don't know whats up but I've been so mindless these last few days. Last night I made a smoothing with a f**king SPOON in the blender. A SPOON. a metal one, at that. Needless to say DH will be reparing my blender today, and I didnt even get to drink my smoothie because it had tiny metal spoon chunks in it, UGH! Rave (or rant?) DS is still only taking 1-2 steps at a time, he gets soo nervous when we try and encourage him!

    CS/Q:

GTKY: Have you ever re-gifted an item? If so, what was it and why? If not, what is something that you would re-gift?
You know, I know I have, but do you think for the life of me I can remember what? Man, if I'm not preggo I think I'm going to get an MRI because I probably have a brain tumour...

    Timing: I thought good enough

Testing: Been there. Done that. Still here.

R/R:  rant is my damn body. Temp is still up, cramping, started spotting last night. Negative test today. Praying it's just too early and I'm not out this month.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: Have you ever re-gifted an item? If so, what was it and why? If not, what is something that you would re-gift?
I'm sure I have. I think just like candles and what not. Nothing that was a bigger or more expensive gift
  • @50Wife It's still early and if you're temp is still up then you are not out! FX for you.
@kvacmak Hope your DH can fix your blender! I bet that was scary!
@KariAnn323 FX that your cycle won't roll over and this will be it and yay for an early day at work! Also, thanks for your help yesterday! :)

    Month/Cycle: 2/1... soon to be 3/2

    CD/DPO: 33/13

    Timing: It was pretty good

Testing: Nope -- temp was well below my coverline this morning. I'm just waiting for AF to show (hopefully in the next 2-3 days) so I can focus on the next cycle.

R/R: It's Friday Eve and I'm having all the craft beer/wine this weekend. All of it! Rant: I forgot to marinate the chicken we're having today last night, so I either need a plan B or we'll be eating some dry chicken...

CS/Q: So, I think I have an EWCM problem. I know I've recognized it before I had my IUD removed but I haven't seen any since December. I drink green tea but I'm looking into some supplements to try and give myself a boost. I've done some research online but wanted to see if any of you ladies have personal experience in this department. Sorry to discuss CM so early in the morning...  ;)

GTKY: Have you ever re-gifted an item? If so, what was it and why? If not, what is something that you would re-gift? I have once regifted a candle I received because I was sort of put on the spot with an unexpected gift from a former coworker. I'm not proud of it!

    Timing: -5,-3,-2,-1,0

Testing: Maybe 3/9, maybe Sunday. Except if it's a BFN I'll be bummed for my girls get together on Sunday sooo maybe not.

R/R: Rave: All the BFPs in the grad thread!! It's so wonderful! I'm so happy for all the ladies getting their BFPs, it makes my heart feel so light and like it's going to happen for me too. It'd be awesome to be on the Nov BMB with such a great group moving over! Eeeek so exciting!

    CS/Q: Not charting

GTKY: Have you ever re-gifted an item? If so, what was it and why? If not, what is something that you would re-gift?  Jam. I hate jam yet people seem to give me a lot of jam. I don't know what it is about me that makes people think I like jam but I really don't. It's way too sweet. So I'm always regifting it and have begun subtly dropping hints that I hate jam.

@kariann323 yay for leaving early today!
@kvacmak FX that's pregnancy brain! It's definitely still too early! But lol at your metal spoon smoothie
@50wife 10 DPO is still early! FX this is your month

  • @CandyApple2012 buy evening primrose oil. They're capsules that I think you'd be able to find in any drug store. They definitely made a difference! I wasn't having issues, but someone mentioned it to me so I was like meh, why not. Took them one night and noticed a difference the next day.
They should only be taken up to O though, not after.
  • @KariAnn323 yay for leaving early!
@kvacmak scary about the spoon and Thanks for the reassurance on the skin issues yesterday
    @50Wife FX for you
@CandyApple2012 I love that SNL sketch. Any way you can do a 30 minute marinate with some olive oil/spices when you get home? Dry chicken is the worst!
@aggo I've never received jam as a gift, but for some reason your disdain for jam has made me giggle.

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD/DPO: 21/4

    Timing: -5, -2, -1

Testing: trying to hold out until at least 3/10 (yes, i already moved it up from yesterday...)

R/R: Rant: I second @aggo the grad thread this week had just brought big smiles to my face. Hoping for an easy going day. Nothing to big on my calendar. Hoping I can get some paperwork completed. Rant: DH mentioned going on a Southern Caribbean cruise in May/June. I told him I was a little concerned about that what with the TTC and all. He was like why? I mentioned my concerns about zika and he asked "oh, is that still a thing? I haven't heard much about it lately" Yes, dear that is still a thing. I proposed we go to Alaska, he said well I guess you can present that (to his family, it will be a family trip).

CS/Q: temps are staying up. so glad I took everyone's advice and started charting.

GTKY: Have you ever re-gifted an item? If so, what was it and why? If not, what is something that you would re-gift?
Yes, I know for sure I re-gifted a photo album. I was in college and my ex's sister gave it to me. I gave it to my roommate as a "belated" gift when we got back for the spring semester. We actually have a "gift" box in the spare closet. It has some things we've been given and a few things that I picked up as "just in case gifts." My boss and my aunt both gave me bath and body works candles this Christmas. My teenage niece was so excited when I gave them to her. (That wasn't really a re-gift. I just asked her if she wanted them...)

  • @KariAnn323 Yay for getting to leave work early - anything planned for your afternoon?

@kvacmak Sorry for the BFNs :(

@50Wife Sorry your body is giving you suck a mindf*ck

@CandyApple2012 Ugh - I hate that limbo day or two when temps have dropped by AF hasn't shown. At least you have a fun Friday planned!

@aggo I'm hoping you mean if it's a BFN you'll be bummed? Do your girlfriends know you are trying, that you could talk to them either way? Or are you guys still keeping it quiet?

@Avrilmai Ugh - sorry your DH is being dense about zika... mine did that a couple of times too :(

    Month/Cycle: 5/4

    CD/DPO: 28/3

    Timing: great: -5,-4,-2,-1,O

Testing: even though it's early, I'll probably test next Thursday (10 DPO) because I have a girls' night and would want to know if I should have one glass or no glasses of wine (regardless, will be conservative haha)

R/R: It's almost the weekend! But we have so much to do over the weekend - we are painting the bottom of our boat, and still have lots of prep work and painting to do :(

CS/Q: nope - other than a couple of lazy Sundays (after wine on Saturdays), it's actually pretty straight forward :)

GTKY: Have you ever re-gifted an item? If so, what was it and why? If not, what is something that you would re-gift? Unfortunately, I do this relatively often. I'm allergic to any artificial fragrances, so any of the typical girly stuff (candles, lotions, etc.) that people give when they don't know you well - I can't use any of it. I don't want to be rude, or wasteful, so I either pass it on right away, or save it to give to someone else

GTKY: Have you ever re-gifted an item? If so, what was it and why? If not, what is something that you would re-gift? I personally have not. However, I know for a fact that some items we received as wedding gifts were regifted items. I would actually regift one of those gifts because I'll never use it. It was one of those babycakes mini cake maker things.

@avrilmai haha glad I could make you laugh with my intense dislike of jam. Alaska sounds AMAZING I want to go so badly!
@Sailing_Mama whoooops, just edited that. Definitely would be incredibly ecstatic over a BFP! We're not telling anyone yet. We think people will have opinions since we got married fairly recently and we don't care to hear them :) Aside from that, we just don't really like talking about that aspect of our personal lives with anyone and don't want to put any pressure on ourselves and have people asking questions. I may end up telling one friend at some point soon because I'm in her wedding and just want her to be prepared for what could happen. I have a friend who is allergic to artificial fragrances too! I always have to be careful to not give her any of that.

  • @Sailing_Mama That's a good reason to regift. If you can't use something, you might as well give it to someone who can!
@Avrilmai yay for an easy day! I also must shameful admit that I didn't realize zika was still something to be worried about. I probably should know better, but since I don't really have any plans of traveling I didn't pay attention. I should really pay attention either way. Thanks for the reminder.
@aggo I'm with ya on the grad thread as well. I'm rooting for everyone, but it's particulary nice to see usernames that I've had interaction with. FX for more!
@candyapples2012 Boo for temp drops! I also had an IUD and feel like the last two months my CM has been scant at times. It's too soon for me to tell, but if this isn't our cycle, I think I'll either try preseed or evening primrose.
@50Wife FX that its still early!
@kvacmak wow! Sorry about your blender! That sucks. It's nice that your DH can fix it though and you might not have to go buy a new one! I bet that was some scary noise though!
@KariAnn323 That's awesome that you get to work extra and leave early. We used to be able to do that at my company whenever we wanted, but now we can only do it if we have a "reason".

  • @50Wife Thanks for the Primrose suggestion -- I was reading about it yesterday, but I just put a bottle in my Amazon cart!
@Avrilmai You're right about dry chicken! I'll do something, but it was supposed to marinate overnight so it may still turn out a little dry regardless. And yes to SNL! I hadn't really been into it since high school but it's been so funny over the last year or two!
@aggo wonder what it is about you that says to everyone, "I am a jam person" LOL. That's an odd gift!
@SoldiersMom Boo for CM problems! I am ordering the primrose today and I'll report back after a few weeks. I'm on the fence about preseed but the reviews are so crazy over the top I'm tempted to try it too.

So, I have on and off CM issues. This cycle, up until today (which is likely O) I had no CM. It was a very dry lady cave down there. So I purchased Pre-Seed off Amazon for about $20...figure I will get about 6-10 sessions out of it depending on how many ounces I use each time. It's pricey, but its a lube that mimics fertile CM.

Other ladies have tried using Robitussin or one of the versions of Mucinex (not sure which one), that can help with CM production. Also, I believe evening primrose is supposed to help.

@GG620 It kept all my important info like temps, CM, HIO days, I just lost the other things like headaches, cramps, etc. I wasn't tracking a whole lot of that stuff anyway in an effort to avoid being BSC with signs this cycle. I just wasn't aware I would lose that feature.  ETA: The info is actually still there. It's just not plotted with the fun colored blocks underneath my chart.
Also I know exactly what commercial you are talking about and I find it a PITA also.

  • @SoldiersMom Seriously though, every other review on Amazon is all "we tried for years and then used this for a week and here's my positive pee stick!" I mean, I roll my eyes a little but I am also seriously intrigued.

@dragonfly87 Thanks for the input! I may have to purchase the evening primrose and the preseed... my students would tell me I'm "being a little extra," (especially for month 3) but I can't make up my mind and it probably can't hurt B) BTW, I LOVE your use of "lady cave." @FLAshley is that for your bloodwork?? That's crappy!! I was under the impression that doctors would easily prescribe something for anxiety. Well, as a quick fix-many people have told me to call about my fear of flying!

sorry for the P&G earlier... night shift last night meant I was sleeping all day! I just have to say - i've only really been 'active' on this board for like a week and I already feel so supported and loved! You guys are amazing!

    @50Wife  FX you're not out
@candyapples2012 boo to temp drop! I used Preseed when we were TTGP with DS, I wouldn't say it was a miracle fix, but I always use lube so it was reassuring to know it wasn't going to interfere with conception, like some other lubes can! It definitely lasted more than 6-10 uses like @dragonfly87
is predicting! You can also get it from London Drugs if you don't want to wait for it to come from Amazon, and i think it's a similar price.
@Avrilmai what about Hawaii? I don't think it's been effected by Zika (I could be wrong!)
@SoldiersMom  Yay for hubby being home! Mine leaves for 2 weeks next tues and I am NOT looking forward to it! The blender is actually hilarious now that I think about it, it was an AWFUL noise - all I could think was 'Wow, those strawberries I put in there must be REALLY frozen solid!" hahaha
@Anna_1021  boo to AF! Here's hoping your next cycle is a little more straightforward!

Lol I wish I could thinking quicker sometimes. When I got off the phone with her I was thinking i should have said "I would say thank you and good bye but you did nothing for me."

  • @Avrilmai @SoldiersMom the MFM told me on Tuesday that there is currently a 10,000 people (or couple?) Zika study going on in Colombia right now. There is still not enough known yet and the lab tests currently commonly available only test blood and have to be done within 14 days. Since the virus is able to stick around in semen, recommendation for any male that is exposed, regardless of being bitten, is 6 months of abstention. Females are only 8 weeks.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
