Twatwaffle Tuesday 2/28

I didn't see anyone's name on this topic, so I went ahead and decided to go for it, I hope that's ok.

So let's hear it, who's the twatwaffle in your life right now?

Re: Twatwaffle Tuesday 2/28

  • All my friends with kids have complained about how people think it's ok to comment on the size of their child (generally in an unflattering way, eg: so and so is such a chunker! Or, you're not feeding him/her enough, too small).

Well, let's mark it. 12w1d, and I've had my first official comment on the baby's size. I have an US picture at my desk, and a coworker came over and said, "We were talking last night, and there's no way that baby is 2 months along, it looks like it's about to be born."

I said, well, 1) I'm just about 3 months. And 2) baby's features are mostly formed and just need to grow bigger.

"Well your baby is going to be huge."

    ......what. the. crap?!

  • @jena333 Wtf? That is seriously weird to comment on someone's fetus in an ultrasound pic.

My twatwaffle is I was selling this recliner on our classifieds email list (I work at a university), and some lady offered me half of what I was asking. I said if I don't hear from anybody by the next day, OK. So next day, I contact her back, say she can get the chair and I will be home at 6. She says OK, and she will call before she comes. I never hear from her that night, and then the next day she emails me asking if she can get it over the weekend. I say OK and tell her basically my schedule for the weekend, and ask her when she can come. I never hear back from her for over a day, and then another guy emails me wanting the chair and offering more $. Since lady has blown me off TWICE now, I set up a time the next day with the guy, and email her back to let her know someone else is getting it. Well of course, THEN she immediately responds saying I accepted her offer first and berating me for not "honoring my word". Oh, and said she was going to forward my email to the "classifieds administrator" (there isn't one). Lady, you literally had 3 days to either pick up or set up a time to pick up the damn chair. How long am I supposed to hold it for you? 3 days? 2 weeks? 15 years? She must not buy stuff online very often... Thankfully she works on another campus so I'll hopefully never have to deal with her.

TLDR - Some lady wanted an ancient recliner I was selling, never came by or set up a time to get it, and then personally attacked me over an email when I sold it to someone else.

  • Freaking Mardi Gras. We live downtown, and every year San Diego does a big Mardi Gras block party and parade. The music started pumping at exactly 5 pm, and probably won't stop until 1am. It's only been playing for 10 minutes, but I am already over it. I am tired and hormonal and constipated and hungry and nauseated and my back hurts, and I don't want to listen to your crappy house music and drunken shrieks all night!
