  How far along are you?
  

  13 weeks – hellooooo 2nd trimester!

  How big is baby?

  Matchbox car.

  Upcoming appointments this week?

  I had a check-up yesterday. It was the fastest appointment ever! After some cautioning from the midwife that they can’t always find the baby’s heartbeat right away with the Doppler and not to be nervous, we heard the strong heartbeat the instant the Doppler hit my stomach.  Have to wait 4 weeks now til my next appointment!

  Any new symptoms or changes or cravings?

  Nothing new. I ate mostly carbs in my first trimester. I’m going to make an effort to eat healthier for the next few months!

  Rants/Raves/Questions?

  I’m at my office for the first time in almost two weeks instead of working from home and I’m already sooo tired.

  GTKY: Will you splurge on any baby item?

  I would love to get one of the thousand + dollar stroller systems, but I just can’t justify it! I love the Uppababy Vista with the bassinet – I think it looks so sleek compared to other strollers. BUT I went to Babies R Us this weekend and discovered the Evenflo Pivot Travel system for $300 that has a similar look and is super light! So happy to find an affordable alternative. I think out “splurge” will be a king sized bed since we will most likely use a DockATot instead of a crib.

  Definitely a "co sleeper" I don't care how much it costs I am getting one! And since it's a girl I see serious clothing splurges coming hehehehe

  Nothing new; exhaustion at its finest, mild nausea, and horrifically sore boobs. I also am dying for Powerade/Gatorade all the time!

  It's 80 something degrees outside with high humidity...I'm dreaded to see how hot this summer is going to be!

  GTKY: Will you splurge on any baby items?

  Probably not. We bought all the big items gender neutral the first time around. The only thing we will need is a new monitor since DD broke the one we had before.
