There were some great sales on fabric this weekend so I stocked up on fabric for making a couple new baby quilts, crib sheets, and burp cloths. I'm excited to start working on these projects!
Even though I knew this would happen, I still get weirded out when people comment on my baby bump and say stuff like "oh it's so cute" or "I'm glad you're wearing a shirt that shows off your bump." Also, my belly button has really popped out and people comment about that too. Maybe this is just a FTM thing, but it's my baby, my bump, so stop looking at me people (like that's actually going to happen). Thankfully I haven't had any strangers say anything weird to me yet.
GTKY: What was the last new movie you saw and did you like it?
Even though I love going to the movie theater I've been too busy lately to go. The last new movie I saw was actually the new Avengers Civil War movie when it came out on Netflix. It was good. I'm looking forward to a bunch of new movies that are coming out this spring and summer like The Zookeeper's Wife and Logan (wolverine movie). I would like the read the book The Zookeeper's Wife though before I see the movie.

Any appointments this week? At the lab doing my glucose test right now...fun. Next appt in a week.
Symptoms? The length of my back has been sore, along with the back of my hips.
Cravings? Still on sweets!

Rants/Raves/Questions? I got a massage yesterday, which was really nice. Apparently my whole right side is more tense than my left. She really worked all along my back, especially along the right. I came home and felt like jelly for about an hour before I tensed up again...hah.
GTKY: What was the last new movie you saw and did you like it? The last one we saw was Rogue One. I really liked it! I don't think I liked it more than the main storyline movies, but I thought it was a fantastic movie and loved seeing how it connected other plot elements.

Any appointments this week? had my regular OB appointment on Tuesday and my BP is starting to creep up so they want me to see my MFM sometime this week or next. I am still waiting on that call from the MFM.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Since DS1 was born at 30 weeks, I've really been awaiting this milestone, I'm officially 30 weeks and still working, yay!
GTKY: What was the last new movie you saw and did you like it? Last new movie in the theatre was SING, and I really like it. Although I would not mind a break from animated kiddie movies.

GTKY: What was the last new movie you saw and did you like it? We very rarely go to the theater these days so we watch whatever on Netflix or vudu. We just saw Sully a couple fays ago. We werent wowed by it by any mean, but it was interesting to see things from the pilot's perspective and what went down after the water landing.

Things have been pretty good. Calm before the storm, maybe? Or maybe this pregnancy is going ok afterall? SPD is really not that bad. I think it's better at this point than it was with the other pregnancies.

As usual, sweets. Nothing but sweets.

Green. Still guessing girl if you made me choose, but I don't feel as confident about that as I had before, or as confident as I had felt in guessing the other two (which I did guess correctly.)

GTKY: What was the last new movie you saw and did you like it?
I never see movies, it is so sad. Probably the last hunger games movie was the last new movie I saw. I actually didn't really like it.
I haven't been to the theater in AGES, but another movie we saw at home within the past 6 mo or so that I really liked was The Martian. I'm a big science nerd so that was a lot of fun.
How big is baby? Acorn squash
Any appointments this week? My next one a week from tomorrow.
Symptoms? I've been having some heartburn at night while sleeping and then the hip pain makes occasional appearances during the night if I sleep too long on my right side.
Cravings? Nothing in particular

Rants/Raves/Questions? I passed the Glucose Challenge Test with flying colors. I was so worried because I felt so weak about 30 minutes after drinking it that I nearly passed out at the doctor's office while they were drawing blood, but I wasn't anywhere near failing. I just mention that for others that may worry about failing just because the drink makes them feel so bad.
Also, I can't figure out how baby is lying and I'm very curious. I've only ever felt the hiccups very low down in my pelvic area, so I've assumed she's head down.....but then sometimes I feel things on both sides of my belly and around my belly button. Maybe she still flips around?
GTKY: What was the last new movie you saw and did you like it? Um, Charlotte's Web with DD? Lol. I haven't seen a new grown-up movie in a very long time.

Any appointments this week? I have one next Wed. It seems unreal that I'm already at the "get seen every 2 weeks" mark.
Symptoms? I have been so crabby lately, and I can't seem to make it stop. Most of the things that are annoying me are really dumb, too (like when my boss comes in and kind of sing-songs "Gooooooooood morning". Calm down, woman. It's 7:30, there's no reason to be so chipper!).
Cravings? Sweets, all day, every day. I'm trying to make a real effort to get that in check, but I also kind of don't want to!

Rants/Raves/Questions? I passed the 3 hour glucose test, thankfully. That's got me pretty excited!!
GTKY: What was the last new movie you saw and did you like it? I honestly don't even know the last movie I watched, period, much less the last new one. Next weekend, my in laws are coming over for their standing once-a-month baby sitting, and we talked about locking ourselves in the media room and watching something. Knowing me, I'll probably fall asleep half way through!

Appts this week: Friday morning. Follow-up from finding out I have GD & for dr to evaluate how things are going after 1 week of blood sugar testing 4x/day & dietary changes. Not on any medications yet.
Symptoms: Hip pain while sleeping. Here's a lack of one: For weeks, the app has been telling me I should have heartburn, but I have only had it twice this whole pregnancy & that was ages ago. Amazed I am somehow escaping heartburn (probably just jinxed myself).
Cravings: Still milk & pizza. Add cheesecake.

Rant: I have a boy in my class that asks us to pray for his cousin, a soldier, every day, which is fine. But my rant is every day he tells us where this cousin is & it's always somewhere different & far away from where he said the previous day. It is just starting to get on my nerves. He's been doing this all school year. How do you know every day where this soldier cousin is?? Why does your cousin move so rapidly from place to place? Example: This week supposedly the cousin went from Afghanistan to New York to Ireland to Macedonia. Last week he was in Iran, Iraq, & New Jersey.
GTKY: The last new movie I saw was A Dog's Purpose. I did like it. My husband & I both cried. We are dog lovers.

Rants/Raves/Questions? DH is driving me nuts with procrastinating on cleaning out our home office/guest room and getting the nursery set up! I'm pinning him down this weekend and getting some work done on it!
GTKY: What was the last new movie you saw and did you like it? In theaters...probably Finding Dory (which I loved) I think, we never go to the theater anymore! Last non kid movie was at home with DH, we watched 13 Hours and I liked it too.

Any appointments this week? I had a check up yesterday, officially cleared of GD and am mildly anemic, nothing interesting to report.
Symptoms? Few, I can't breathe or move properly, sleeping is awful, I can't eat a lot at once, but nothing that I would call "symptoms"
Cravings? Red meat! But that is also explained by my anemia

Rants/Raves/Questions? I am pretty much ready for a newborn, I need some more wraps and small things like socks and bibs but everything else is ready! I want to do some more decorating and organisation in the nursery but that's minor.

How big is baby? App says lettuce. My growth scan last week said 1lb 15oz, 52%ile.

Any appointments this week? Had one Thursday, along with the glucose test. Wasn't so bad! It was at 2pm after teaching K the whole morning so I think my body actually enjoyed the sugar rush. Hoping I passed!
Symptoms? Harder to get comfortable in bed, but once I'm asleep all is well. Achy muscles/back, exhausted by 1pm, some heartburn, and gas in the evenings. Fun stuff.
Cravings? Chocolate and carbs. Haven't been able to eat quite as much as baby is starting to squish my belly, which is probably a good thing.

Rant: My work actually asked us to get kids to stay before/after school so we can individually test them because they don't want to give us time during the day. Our school day is already 8.5 hours a day, and we're still expected to teach/prep for lessons (using our prep time to test now of course), and have minimal to no lunch breaks during these 2 1/2 weeks. I'm so ready for maternity leave!
Rave: My baby shower back home is today!!! I flew home a few days ago and fly back tomorrow. I'm so excited to see all my family and friends and can't believe how generous they have already been with gifts. I really feel ready for baby with all this stuff! Plus my mom/ sister/ mother in law are doing such an amazing job putting everything together in a woodland theme, it's adorable!
GTKY: What was the last new movie you saw and did you like it? Some movie DH picked about a boxer...I don't remember. It was ok. We've been watching the show The Americans lately and I'm hooked!
