Re: STM+ check in 2/24
2. 16 weeks today
3. Finally getting my energy back. Still having diarrhea randomly.
4. None till the 15th of next month
5. We're redoing our kitchen after 4 years in our house. I'm so excited.
6. I'm a SAHM, but DH gets 2 weeks paternity leave and has already put in for it based on the day my c section will be scheduled for.
7. I rarely ever clothes shop, so I don't know that I have a favorite, I guess it just depends on what I'm shopping for. I do love Target and Hobby Lobby
1.) I have one other child - 2yo girl.
2.) I'm 14w along
3.) Morning sickness, but diclectin at night has taken care of the morning vomiting, so that's helpful. Now I'm just pretty lazy/unmotivated/bleh all day, lol. My last pregnancy was constant nausea (lived on diclectin to hold food down), and pretty much the same bleh feeling. All in all, not too much difference except no food aversions yet with this pregnancy! I couldn't stand anything tomato-based with my first pregnancy!
4.) No appointments this week
5.) I find myself judging my body more this time around, which I don't like. It's a baby, I'm starting out with a bit more weight than when I got pregnant the first time, and I'll have years after this pregnancy to get myself back on track with weight. Our bodies and their capabilities are pretty awesome!
6.) I took 6 weeks off when DD was born, and then took her to work with me (I have that luxury, which I'm eternally grateful for). I'm in Canada so I'm entitled to a year off, but I found myself not doing anything but sitting around and letting anxiety get the best of me, so getting back to work for me was good. I love my job, so that helps tremendously
GTKY: My favourite place to shop is ......... Hobby Lobby!!!! I am the least crafty person you'll ever meet, but a girl can dream, right??? I did buy DD a plain shirt (from there, for like $2) and then I ironed on one of their little lace pockets. I felt accomplished. Anyway, Hobby Lobby is amazing, so that's my answer.
Looking forward to reading other responses!
How many other children do you have? 1 (2.5 DD)
Sporadic heartburn and random headaches. Didn't really have either of these much with the first.
Had one on Monday. Good checkup and discussed VBAC potential with a supportive OB.
Why must it be so hard to get into a dang preschool here!?! There are only 15 available spots for 3 year olds in our whole town. I have connections at one of them so we find out today if we get in there. But this is stressful!
Have you started planning for your or your maternity leave?
I'm a SAHM and that will continue. DH gets 4 week's paternity leave but I'm not sure that we'll have him take it all at once or spread it out in a 2 weeks chunk and then a couple of 1 weeks of what.
Amazon. I can look at everything right online and not drag DD to the store.

I yhave one other child, 11 going on 18 yo daughter. If you believe...pray for me.
I am so looking forward to maternity leave. Started putting a plan down on paper that I plan to present to my supervisor as to how things will run when I'm gone. Still not sure when to tell my staff and supervisor though.
Happy Friday everyone!
Have you started planning for your or your maternity leave? I work a PRN schedule for 4 different companies (healthcare) so I don't actually get a real maternity leave because I don't have benefits through my workplaces. So, we are going to put most of our tax return in our savings and then I'll probably start slowly returning to working a half day or so once a week around 8 weeks but not return to a normal schedule until at least 12 weeks when I start the new baby in daycare.
#1 - DD: 7/5/12
#2 - DS: 5/21/14
#3 - EDD: 8/25/17
@Gia W. I weighed myself this morning big mistake. I didn't take medicine for my morning sickness with DS so I didn't start gaining weight until 18 weeks. Not so much this time, but totally worth the weight gain not to feel miserable all the time.
How many other children do you have? DS who is 3.
I am still so tired. I took a 2 1/2 hour nap the other day and was still asleep by 8:30
Have you started planning for your or your maternity leave?
I am a STHM and that will stay the same. DH has switched jobs since DS was born but he works for the government so I know he ill get something but probably not paid. I work at DS preschool 1 day a week and have started working out a plan for that.
The only store in town to really shop at is TJ Maxx which I do love. If we go to the "big city" about 40 minutes away I am always excited for Target. There was a point in my life where I had disposable income and lived in San Francisco and would have much more exciting answer but that was so long ago I can't even remember my favorite places to shop.
Have you started planning for your or your maternity leave? I'm a SAHM so the only maternity I get will be at the hospital...well and maybe a week or 2 when I get home depending on how much leave my husband still has. Wouldn't have it any other way though, love being home with my girl!
Target, has cute stuff, decent prices and a little of everything. Something enjoyable about wondering around there, even with a toddler...starting to dislike the mall for some reason...I use to love to shop but with a toddler things have changed.
How many other children do you have? 1, 4yr old DS
Have you started planning for your or your maternity leave? Not really, I know I will take at least 12 weeks
How many other children do you have? I have a 3 year old son
Have you started planning for your or your maternity leave? Yes. I'm fortunate enough to have 6 weeks paid but asked for a few additional weeks unpaid. I wish I could take more time.

Have you started planning for your maternity leave? Yes, taking 3 months off, unpaid. Looking forward to getting the nicest time of year off of work. Hopefully, we will be a good breastfeeding team so I don't have to worry about that the whole time.

Symptoms are pretty mild these days, thank God. My biggest complaint is round ligament pain and pain in my pubic bone when I stand up from sitting too long. My first pregnancy was a breeze other than lower back pain. My second was filled with food/smell aversions the whole time.
Nope. AS two weeks from today, but we already found out it's a boy!
Rant: The weather has been beautiful but it's supposed to be nasty this weekend. 70 to 30 in 24 hours...
Rave: Yay for my first phase of nesting. I want to declutter, purge and organize everything!! I guess the nasty weather will be a good excuse to get projects done.
Questions: Any other mommas with anterior placentas? I can't feel the jabs, but I feel the big movements like rolling. Anyone else in the same boat?
Have you started planning for your or your maternity leave?
Yes and no. I started a company with a colleague so we don't have a policy yet. I also suck at being home so I don't know what I'm going to do.
I love my craft stores: Joanns, Michaels, Hobby Lobby. I actually went to Hobby Lobby this afternoon to pick out quilt fabric for baby. I'm in love.
Other than that that I like Target and all of its black holeness.
Next Wednesday
I haven't been able to drink coffee because the smells disgusts me. I figured out last weekend that if I have my husband make it before I get up and put it in a travel mug, the smell is muted enough so I can stand to drink it! I was getting caffeine from those Sbux fraps they sell in bottles but those get $$$$. Plus coffee is great for moving things along digestion wise!
Have you started planning for your or your maternity leave?
I'm a sahm so no. We are in Canada so DH could theoretically take the full 35 week parental leave, but it's only 55% of your salary so we can't afford for him to take more than a couple weeks. I'm thinking it will be the first 2-3 weeks of September because the oldest will be starting kindergarten and up until that point it's nbd if we just stay home all day.
Indigo/Chapters (book and lifestyle chain). Books and stationery and home decor and lots of mugs and a train table for the littles, what more could you want?
Have you started planning for your or your maternity leave?
Just depends on my mood, I suppose. I'm not a huge fan of shopping, though, in general.

Have you started planning for your or your maternity leave? Yes, I am a SAHM ,but had a rough C-section recovery last time so DH may take 2-3 months of paternity leave.
Actually glad I don't have to find a daycare. It seems so stressful and complicated for some other moms.
How far along? 15 weeks +3 days
Any appointments? Nope, not until the 18th. A check up.
Rants/raves? My rant ties into my maternity leave. My boss is moving my job to the UK. I'm not leaving. I've been with the firm for over 6 years and would have gotten 4 months entirely paid. Now I'm scrambling to find another job internally before my end date in April and before I start to show. I'll likely get zero leave if I leave the firm. It's extremely aggravating and frustrating particularly because I think it was done because I had an m/c and he didn't want the liability of a female of child bearing age, he basically made a clear remark pointing that way. My HR department doesn't care and the firm I work for is large, always in the news, and it's really b.s all the diversity garbage they pitch when they still discriminate hardcore against women, and everyone knows it. I guess it's just disheartening and frustrating, I'm 32 and I remember thinking when I graduated college that I'd be part of a generation that wouldn't have to deal with this and it's still a huge issue. I just hope my daughter doesn't has this happen to her when she's my age.
Do you by any chance work for Uber? Just curious, because I've read some horrible stories about the sexism there in the news lately.
Any word on preschool? Where do you live that you get free preschool? It seems nice but also stressful that there are so few spots. The nice thing about legacy is once you are in at least you don't need to worry about the next one.

Also, @LSP87 I could have written those symptoms! Stretching/cramping/peeing has kept me up the past few nights. And I am crying so easily, and snapping more at everybody and obsessively cleaning. I still have food aversions, but they are starting later in the day every week

I feel so bad I'm getting so snappy with DD2. She always wants to be held or to cuddle and my abdomen hurts so much all the time and she definitely irritates it. She is such a good, sweet girl though I should love the hugs!
Also, DH is in Munich for 7 days. DD2 doesn't sleep well and he gives in to her every time she cries. I ran a half marathon this morning and am currently falling asleep standing up so I'm so I am so not up to sleep training tonight. I will be praying to the sleep gods...
Have you started planning for your or your maternity leave? Other than telling my boss, no. I work for a big finance company and trained a junior for my last leave - this one should be much easier. I get 12 weeks paid and up to 8 more unpaid. I usually miss one paycheck and then get my butt back to work.
