How far along are you? 28 weeks. I'm officially 3rd trimester!
How big is baby? Eggplant
Any appointments this week? I met with my midwife yesterday. All went well.
Symptoms? My back is hurting now and then, but it's nothing too terrible. Heartburn has been annoying, but again, it's nothing I can't handle.
Cravings? I haven't had any actual cravings. Just during first trimester, I had certain foods that made me sick.
Team Pink/Blue/Green? Blue.
Rants/Raves/Questions?
GTKY: What was the last concert you attended? I don't know, it depends on the definition. I saw my favorite band, Bad Religion, play with Outcast a while back. But I've been to several punk shows and music festivals since then, especially if my husband's band played them. I'm really bummed I didn't see Bon Jovi when he was in my city this week.
Any appointments this week? Nope, not until next week
Symptoms? Heartburn, leg cramps, pretty instense movements, frequent peeing - the usual basically
Cravings? Been craving Boston cream donuts lately. That's a new one.
Team Pink/Blue/Green? Green!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: (okay or whine) I have the most annoying chest cold! It's violent and awful and muscousy and I'm not impressed! Keeping an eye on it though, if it starts to looks more like green nasty infected mucous I'll go get looked at
GTKY: What was the last concert you attended? Journey and Steve Miller Band a few years ago in T.O. It was an outdoor concert and the weather could not have been better. It was DH, myself, my mom and her husband and his daughter, very fun time for sure!
@roper2617: I saw SMB in concert forever ago and it was one of the best. What a great backlist.
@kmd1106: Thank you for de-bolding the question marks.
How far along are you? 28 weeks
Any appointments this week? Saw my OB: GTT, proteins, iron were all fine, so that's a load off. I was super nervous about the GTT, and I really do feel for those of us who have to deal with that additional GD baloney during pregnancy. But silver lining? At least it's a temporary condition, right?
Symptoms? Still with the horrible hip pain. I can barely crouch or squat and my mood is pretty sour not being able to play with the toddler in the way that I want to. I have another PT appt today, and the exercises I've been (mostly) doing at home every night should be helping.
Cravings? None, for now. Popsicles and cookies, I could leave 'em.
Team Pink/Blue/Green? Second little boy on the way.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: I actually really enjoy going to the Baby Names board here and elsewhere to see what's going on in the world of naming, trends, longevity, and people's choices overall. The etymology is really cool to read about. And throwing the side-eye at people's crazy made-up names is fun. So right now over on the bump's page, there have been a few random new people commenting, which is cool... except that they are dredging up Really Old Posts! I mean like October and November. The original posters are likely long gone at this point (or have probably changed their name-opinions ten times since then!). I scrolled through and saw so many old posts that I didn't even want to read what the new comments had to say. The old threads get lower down the list and should stay tucked away for reading-pleasure only, not fresh comments. End rant. Phew. Thanks guys.
(ETA: I understand that while using the mobile or the app might not show the original posting date, it at least shows the date of the most recent comment, and if it's months old, that's an indication to let it rest.)
GTKY: What was the last concert you attended? Punk show also! Less Than Jake a few years ago. Sooo much fun. I'll also answer Thursday's question (since someone else mentioned Star Wars): We rarely actually go to the movies. Like, once every other year? Lame, I know. We saw Rogue One for my bday a few weeks ago and I totally loved it. It was definitely a war movie and was pretty gritty at times but the characters and backstory and visuals were outstanding.
How big is baby? Winter squash, Brie en Brioche (mmm), and a zucchini? That one is dumb. Obviously length wise, but that's stupid. At the grocery on Sunday H pointed out an acorn squash and was like "Look familiar?" When I gave him a confused look he was like "That's what you're carrying around!" haha.
Any appointments this week? Nope
Symptoms? Cant. get. comfortable. to go to sleep. I "over" ate (hummus with 2 carrots, some cucumber slices, and 2 pita triangles, then a 1/2 bag of gummy bears) last night and was so miserably full for a couple hours. I thought I could puke.
Cravings? Not right now
Team Pink/Blue/Green? Green, but H and I think we've got a little girl on the way.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm ranty today. I'm stressed My baby shower is next week. I need a dress for that and my photos which are a few days later. I need to get the house cleaned, but I cant get a hold of the cleaner we sometimes use? Plus, H put us on a "spending freeze" as his job is NOT in a good place right now. Blehhh.
GTKY: What was the last concert you attended? Taylor Swift! H and I kind of love her and I was totally enamored the whole time. I think we both left saying "I want to marry her" haha.
@nda_roxybabe - I am so jealous of your T-Swift concert! I have a (not so) minor obsession with her.
How far along are you? 27 weeks!
How big is baby? Fennec fox (which are effing adorable), "bunch" of bananas (terrible measurement, Ovia)
Any appointments this week? Had a follow up ultrasound this morning to check on placenta placement, as I had partial previa- but placenta has moved! Hooray! I have a regular check up on Monday, including the dreaded GD test!
Symptoms? Just started experiencing charlie horse cramps in my foot, which are super unpleasant.
Cravings? All of the sweets (*fingers crossed GD test goes well*) though I try to limit my intake
Team Pink/Blue/Green? Blue!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Nope
GTKY: What was the last concert you attended? Oh man, I haven't been to a real concert in years...it would either be Hanson (haha) or a concert held by a local radio station which featured 98 Degrees and Shaggy. So, all awesome...hahaha.

How far along are you? 28 weeks. I'm officially 3rd trimester too!
How big is baby? Eggplant
Any appointments this week? I was at hospital from 715 am until 2 pm yesterday. Glucose test, lab work, doctor's appt, and rhogam shot. It was aggravating bc I was up and down all day between lab, physician's office, and injection clinic (and no one was on the same page). If I didn't know what was going on, something would have been missed.
Random, but when I went in for my second draw, the lab tech questioned if I was far enough along for glucose test (a day shy of 28 weeks). Not only am I far enough along, but I'm at the end of the window and if you are going to question it, then why wait to the second pull. I realize now that this should be a rant, but I'm too lazy to cut and paste on mobile.
Symptoms? Heartburn and I can't bend over. My toddler's toys are everywhere and I have no motivation to pick them up.
Cravings? Salad, king cake and Girl Scout cookies.
Team Pink/Blue/Green? Green
Rants/Raves/Questions? How long did it take to get your glucose test results? I was surprised that it could be over a week!
I'm so over nursing my 2 year old old. I can't get him to give up his bedtime nursing session.
GTKY: What was the last concert you attended? Keith Urban. Love him so much!
@nda_roxybabe, what makes you think girl, just curious?
Sorry, I'm long winded...
Before ever getting pregnant both H and I have always thought we will have a girl first. 10ish years ago when we first met, his Mom's psychic (that's another story) said there was a little girl around us. His sisters have since had 5 little girls and she says its not any of them.
Since becoming pregnant I didn't have any stance until I started showing and I just "felt" girl. Then we had the U/S's and the feeling got stronger. I am carrying very high and a little wide, if you believe in that. I also have caught myself thinking "there she is" when feeling movement.
H is now so convinced he wont entertain any additional boy name talk and has almost bought a few girl items. I'm entirely more realistic and understand there's a 50% it's a boy. We will be surprised if it is, but still thrilled!
So far, about 75% of everyone who has mentioned anything thinks girl too.
@clebl24: Here's some un-asked-for tough love: Make him quit cold turkey! If it's strictly a "nurturing" nursing session at night, there are other ways to show affection and help him be calm and content for bedtime. Or, it might help to have someone else take over bedtime duties for the next week to break the habit. If you've reached that stage of "I'm so over this!" then it's natural and normal to feel that way and act upon it.

Yep. Also I let DD take a water bottle to bed. That helped in the beginning.
@nda_roxybabe I forgot you were green too! I'm excited to find out what you have. I suspect I'm having a girl as well, though at the very early stages of pregnancy I suspected boy. DH suspects boy.
@nda_roxybabe - I was Team Green last time as well, and sounded exactly like you (minus the psychic...haha). Everyone thought girl, all of my preggo dreams involved a baby girl, and DH and I could only agree on a girl name- we were SHOCKED when our son was born! For the first few minutes, this was the conversation between DH and I:
He announced "It's a boy!" Me: "It's a boy?" DH: "Yeah, it's a boy?" Me: "A boy?" DH: "A boy!" Me: "A boy!" [on repeat for about 3 minutes] Me/DH: "What are we going to name him???"
My MIL actually thought DH was joking when he texted the initial announcement to family that baby was here, healthy, and a boy. He sent her a pictures of the baby's goods to clear up any confusion...hahaha.

Loving all the green! And all the 30 weekers! I was like, 'how is that possible? Wait... I'm only a few weeks away from 30!' Crazy. I can't even believe it.
@nda_roxybabe Yes on the no sleeping, need something to wear for the shower (mine's 3/4/17) and need to clean. Oy. Sometimes I think we'd be good friends if we lived near each other.
@clebl24 Have you thought about what you're going to do when LO is born? Might be better to break the habit now so it doesn't seem like LO is taking away from your kiddo.
I hope everyone's aches and pains continue to improve instead of worsen. @SKZW Is PT helping? I hope it gets better! I start PT next week.
How big is baby? Lettuce (dumb), fennec fox (adorable).
Any appointments this week? Just got home from an OB appointment and it went well. Also had my GD test, should hear back by Monday at the latest. I'm hoping it's okay because I plan to eat an amazing breakfast of carbs and sweet tomorrow at brunch.
Symptoms? I went off Diclegis (anti nausea medicine) Monday and I have been nauseated ever since. I had a terrible migraine Wednesday. I am giving myself a week before going back on Diclegis. My sciatic nerve pain was better this week, but I start PT next week for that. Sleep is a nightly adventure, sometimes I lose, sometimes I can win a few hours.
Cravings? No, but someone was talking about salami and I was so sad I couldn't eat any. With all the nausea this week I'm feeling lucky just to be eating (mostly healthily).
Team Pink/Blue/Green? GREEN! But lately I've been thinking boy and I don't know why and I wish I was still ambiguous (like I have been all pregnancy). The hard part about team green is if you have an inclination and it's wrong... then what? Not that you'll mind having the other, but will it feel weird thinking about baby one way while pregnant and then baby is the opposite sex?
Rants/Raves/Questions? None.
GTKY: What was the last concert you attended? We love concerts. We almost saw Edwin McCain two weeks ago but I was too tired (sadly.) Last was: Goo Goo Dolls (my fourth time) with Collective Soul (DH's second).
@jayandaplus, we were team green with DD and I thought boy the whole time. When she was born I was ecstatic and never questioned or felt weird about my previous inclination. I think being team green, you know you could very easily be wrong and so you're not really surprised either way.

@skzw@bacorrea@jayandaplus Thanks for thoughts on weaning. It will definitely take some help from DH at bedtime. His crazy work schedule makes it difficult. However, DS fell asleep with DH in recliner Saturday night and spent the night with my parents last night. Maybe we can continue with the trend of no bedtime "nunu."
