I've never taken letrozole. This is for IUI right? I think the goal is 1-3 good sized follicles. So you can definitely talk to your REI about increasing the dose. Good luck!
I was originally on the 10 mg dose for the first 3 cycles, but on the 3rd cycle I had too many follicles that were big enough so they cut my dose down to 5 mg for 3 cycles. I have only been getting 1 or 2 follicles so now they decided to up my dose back to the 10 mg.
The range of dosing for letrozole is actually 2.5-10 mg (2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10) so you could consider asking about stepping up to 7.5 mg. My understanding though is that letrozole is supposed to be dosed at the lowest amount needed to give you a strong ovulation (have you had your Day 21 P checked?) and not necessarily to give you a ton more eggs released. Definitely talk to your doctor - I'd worry about cysts etc if you just double it without recommendation!

My doctor told me going from 7.5mg to 10mg doesn't increase follicle growth (just increases side effects) so max dose in her opinion is 7.5mg
In order to get me to go from 1 follicle to 2 each cycle, instead of raising the dose, my RE extended the length of time I was on it, and started it earlier (from CD3-7 to CD2-8).
PS it's a bad idea to mess around with these meds without your doctors recommendation.

@seethosestars and @ReesaAnne16 I've ovulated on my own for the most part so my Dr just put me on 5mg of Femara to be sure. I took 7.5mg today (day 3) but you've made some good points. This may be my last iui (and we aren't going ivf) so I'm just trying to maximize my chances.
