I think there is a way where you have to contact TB and have a good reason (your full name is your screen name, etc). I think it's easier to just start a new profile.
You might want to choose a screenname that isn't misspelled. (your vs you're)
I didn't spell it wrong. My first choice was youaremysunshine but that was already in use, so I chose yourmysunshine. I chose to use "r" to replace "are". I do appreciate your concern for my screenname though.

I emailed them a while ago and never got a response. I just created a new account.
Not sure how accurate this information is but there was a recent post about this on TTGP. A couple people said they logged in on TheKnot and somehow painlessly changed it there without having to go through Bump god approval.
Sorry to add to an old thread, but since this is the first hit when googling this issue, I thought I'd add updated info.
Indeed, you can easily log in on theknot.com -- using your thebump.com info -- and under "My Account" there is an option right there to change your username. Not sure why "My Account" on thebump doesn't have the same option, but since all the sites are linked, you can just change your usename on theknot and it will automatically update on thebump (and thenest, etc.).
I tried to change mine on the knot, and it worked there- even when I look at my account info here on the bumb is shows my new name, but non of my posts do... Any suggestions?
Re: NTR: Can you change your screen name?

I hope that's helpful!
