I ate leftovers from my baby shower for a couple of days and suffered severely from reflux. I've decided I just can't have most foods I want if I don't want my esophagus to catch fire all day and keep me up at night. So I've stopped with my already small allowance of coffee, and I've cut out spicy food and protein bars and really, a lot. But what I AM eating is salads and veggies with dill dip, bowls of cereal for dinner, and this morning I had a pop tart and it was amazing. Haha. No reflux so far today!
I also have leftover dark chocolate from Valentine's and the shower so I've been trying to moderate my eating of that because it appears to give me reflux too. Boo.
DH made a Texas sheet cake on Sunday, so I've been eating a little everyday. Some days it's dessert, and others it's breakfast. I am dying for sushi and thai noodles at the moment. Like rage craving, so I don't know what I'm going to do about that because we are in tight-budget mode and I really shouldn't be ordering out.
Last week I bought a bag of clearance all red/pink starburst jelly beans post Valentine's Day and ate the entire bag over a few days span. Trying to do better this week...
I absolutely love frozen fruit...just let it sit out about 10 min and it's perfect! Also my mom gave me a bag of homemade monster cookies and it's taking all of me not to eat them all in one sitting
I want a slurpee so bad I could cry right now...I wish I could say not really, but really I could lol. I'm settling for an ice cold coke with grenadine in it. DH promises to buy me 2 slurpees if I want tomorrow. I also ate Chinese for dinner 2 hours ago and I currently feel like I haven't eaten since last Thursday. The grapes are calling my name I suppose.
chick peas! My husband wanted to incorporate something different into the rotation (other than green beans, carrots and corn) and we have all really learned to like them. It helps that we season them with Adams Reserve seasoning.
@shaunessa DH made some kind of goulash-ish dish the other night and put hominy in it. We never eat hominy, but I had bought some at some point in this pregnancy. It was INCREDIBLE.
I just ate a bowl full of whipped cream. There was nothing else sweet in the house except DHs chocolate chip cookies and I hate chocolate chip cookies. I think my tummy is starting to tell me that was a bad idea though.....
Over the weekend some folks from DH's graduate program threw us a small shower and it was lovely, but there was WAY too much food. We came home with large pieces of 2 different Nothing Bundt Cakes (pecan praline - yum! - and red velvet) and a bunch of frosted sugar cookies. I said there was no way we would eat all of that stuff and tried to protest..... but now it's Wednesday and it's almost all gone....
@wagnerw@Virginialeigh Right?! They're pretty darn good. And I didn't think it was possible but the pecan praline was even better (in my opinion) than the red velvet. DH's favorite cake is red velvet though so he ate one and I ate the other. We have no chill when it comes to cake in the house!!

Fruit, so much fruit. Especially strawberries and grapes! At least my body is wanting something decent in the midst of all the crap for once!
Oh, I'm still eating/wanting ALL the sugar too but at least the fruit is helping me get some "better" sugar in.
Baby Boy due 04/07/17
I had a small work shower today. CostCo sheet cake. Yes, give me all the leftovers.
