My appetite is finally starting to come back - yay!!! My current cravings are Southern comfort food and any mayo-based salad. I feel like this baby is going to come out and have a southern accent, haha.
On in a different note, I was never a big mayo fan and now I look at it with love. Pregnancy is so weird...
Several people at my workplace are expecting and we had a little celebration for a first-time dad yesterday. It took a lot of willpower not to demolish the plate of mini cupcakes or the plate of soft-baked chocolate chip cookies. Mmmmmm.
My appetite is totally back but my desire to cook is not (great time to attempt laziness). Last night we went to a smokehouse and split a BBQ sampler platter (in spoiler box). So good but so much heartburn after

Ugh ew, I weirdly craved and went to Burger King the other day and got a double cheeseburger. So nasty but SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Other than that grossness: Salt, so much salt all the time - chips, pickles, olives, anything salty and vinegary is right up my alley Thankfully - salad, especially the spinach Costco one - have any of you had it? Because it's to die for, even not in a pregnancy-induced stupor And seltzer water with fresh lemon - we've got a ton from our tree here recently (Scottsdale, AZ) and I can't get enough!
@caity024 You have a lemon tree?? That sounds delightful. Also, don't feel bad about going to Burger King.. I got a chicken sandwich from McDonalds the other day and felt disgusting but just HAD to have it. I don't think I've eaten there since I was 10. That should satisfy that craving for a while haha.
Steak Tacos with grilled onions, cilantro, salsa and grilled jalapeño with lime I had some for dinner twice in a row from the taco truck. I ate four and wanted more but stop myself before I got sick lol. Anything sour I am in for I am not sure why because I am not a sour food/candy type of person.
@secicc12 Yep, we're completely spoiled here - we have a lemon as well as a lime tree at our house and between neighbors and friends, we get access to oranges, grapefruits, and this delicious orange/lemon blend that looks weird (I can't find a picture right now) but is yummy!
We use what we can and then juice or slice up the rest and freeze. We bought a clearance freezer two years ago specifically for fruit. Chunks are great for smoothies or defrosted and squeezed into water, frozen juice we use as ice cubes/for recipes. We just ran out of last year's supply in December, so it works out fairly well to have 'fresh' free citrus all year round.
Oh and the limes are some bizarro species that make new fruit every month or two. So cool. But we have yet to figure out what type of limes they are. Bigger than key limes, smaller than 'typical' limes and a bit sweet.
@caity024 That is so awesome! It sounds like heaven. Meanwhile in my back yard, there are mountain piles of snow and pine trees haha. I'm in NH. That must be so nice to have an endless supply of oranges and grapefruits..I'm craving those right now!
Just had the best avocado toast with diced cherry tomatoes and a drizzle of basil olive oil, (iodized) salt, and pepper.
Normal routine is cereal with milk, yogurt with peanut butter, chocolate chips, and coconut or with bananas and homemade granola, smoothie, toast with peanut butter, and then whatever DH wants to cook for dinner. 14+3 today and still no desire for chicken or meat but I'll eat it if it's in front of me.
Loving soup! Been making a weekly trip to zoup- our soup restaurant! Still fruit and sweets! Hamburger Helper was really good the other night. Appetite is coming back and I actually have suggestions for dinner rather than DH making all the decisions!
Because it's my week off, I actually have time to make stuff that take a while. I made some handheld chicken pot pies today! Mine look a little more...rustic than the picture I'm sharing, but they are pretty delicious.

Peanut butter on toast, on apples, anything
Salty chips are the best thing ever right now
Weirdly, I could care less about sweets right now and I'm usually such a sweet tooth
