How far along are you? - expecting mom is 24 weeks today!!

How big is baby? - cantaloupe, a package or Oreos (YUM), Mr. Burns Teddy Bear (Bobo), and a Philly cheesesteak

Appointment updates? - appointment tomorrow, hopefully better views of the heart and we'll see where the placenta is

Any new symptoms or changes? - she said she's feeling more movement!

GTKY: What did you want to be when you were a kid? - I wanted to be a lawyer. I'm licensed, but don't practice.

How far along are you? 22 weeks

How big is baby? spaghetti squash, coconut

Appointment updates? anatomy scan part 2 is now done, midwife appointment isn't for 3 weeks, but we did sign up for part 1 of a 3-part prenatal class that we will attend on Sunday

Any new symptoms or changes? we discovered yesterday that we can actually see baby moving if I bare my belly!

Rants/Raves/Questions? I think I'm overloading myself with research about the big items, like car seat and breast pump. It's so hard not to though because it's not cheap and not something you can test out ahead of time nor easily return if you decide you don't like it (at least for the breast pump)

GTKY: What did you want to be when you were a kid? I wanted to be a veterinarian. I'm glad now that I didn't because it's definitely not just petting happy, healthy animals all day and I don't know that I could deal with the reality of so many mistreated or injured pets coming in.

Appointment updates? Just had an appt today. I had a surprise ultrasound because I mentioned that I had one single spot of blood over the weekend. Baby, cervix, and placenta all look great!

Any new symptoms or changes? Leg cramping. I have been trying to keep an eye on my water intake, but I already drink a lot of it!

Rants/Raves/Questions? My parents were here over the weekend. They had told us they would buy the crib but ended up buying us the crib, dresser/changing table, curtains, the glider, and the crib mattress. We were shocked, but incredibly thankful. I can't wait to see the nursery come together.

GTKY: What did you want to be when you were a kid? I wanted to be something different each year! Doctor, veterinarian, zoo keeper, radio DJ...

Appointment updates? OB on wednesday and ultrasound on thursday (f/u to as scan)

Any new symptoms or changes? Nope

Rants/Raves/Questions? Have any of you thought about having more if this is your first? It took me a 18 months to get pregnant with my little guy (3 IUI's) and I don't know if I want to go that route again but being single there's only so many options. The femara messed with my anxiety real bad and I don't know if I want to go through that again plus there's the financial part of it too. I want to have more but am unsure of what I want too do.

GTKY: What did you want to be when you were a kid? I wanted to be a nicu nurse but I am a secretary for a school district in my area.

@beckij34, We've talked about whether or not we'll be one and done. We went through fertility treatments (3 IUIs and an IVF round) with no success, and then started the adoption process. Between the costs of fertility treatments, plus this adoption, I doubt we'll be able to swing a second adoption (financially). As much as I'd like more than one child, not sure if it'll work out. It's a lot of money, as well as a large emotional toll.

@beckij34 we are already planning for the second while making our registry for the first. We specifically chose a stroller that can have a second seat added later on, and are probably going to make other decisions based on having a second as well. Our situation was quite different though, we had a relatively easy time getting pregnant.

Any new symptoms or changes? lots and lots of movement, I'm also getting very very big... I wish my belly would slow down!

Rants/Raves/Questions? yesterday my boys didn't have school due to the holidays... they also don't have school on Friday because it's a teacher work day, I was finally coming to terms with it being a short day when I went to drop them off one of my sons teachers had a explosive "I quit" moment and they had to close down his class room for the day. My errands are backing up big time!

GTKY: What did you want to be when you were a kid? honestly I never had a moment where I knew I wanted to be anything other than a mom, that was my main goal in life.

Appointment updates? Next will be in two weeks and will be doing glucose test.

Any new symptoms or changes? Shortness of breath, just generally finding everything more difficult and tiring.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I knew I wanted 2 close in age before I even had the first one. They will be 18 months apart. Pretty sure this will be it though.

GTKY: What did you want to be when you were a kid? I always thougtht being a sportscaster would be the coolest job.

Just had my AS on Valentine's day and we're Team Pink! All signs point to a healthy cherub come June!
Any new symptoms or changes?
LOTS of movement being felt all the time it seems. Increased appetite and libido.
Rants/Raves/Questions?
Weight gain. This momma's gained 20lbs so far and my midwife is not happy. Talking with DH about getting a treadmill for the house since the weather is too crappy to want to roam around outside, plus 6 months of a gym membership with childcare would cost about the same as a fancy treadmill
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were a kid?
An OB/GYN; I was so weird. Been an L&D an public health nurse now for some time, and am in school to be an FNP and hope to work in women's health by graduation this summer. Not too far off the mark!

@CapricaAndrea Honestly, I didn't do as much research as I normally would. I asked friends with kids what they had and liked, and went with that.

@beckij34 DH and I aren't really talking about it right now. It took us about a year and half to get successfully pregnant with this baby, with multiple losses. If our family feels incomplete, we'll talk about it then, if not, OAD. I'm trying to focus on just this little one right now.

How far along are you? 23 weeks

How big is baby? Chinchilla, adorable!

Appointment updates? Next Friday, regular midwife checkup and another US because they didn't get enough as the AS.

Any new symptoms or changes? Still tired all the time, but the new symptom would be just the large and uncomfortable feeling, which makes me nervous as I've still got a ways to go!

Rants/Raves/Questions? Babe is kicking up a storm and I'm loving it

GTKY: A firetruck when I was really little, no joke. Then a veterinarian for a long time.
