@beachbunnyxo123 I think they coded it that way because I booked the appt in December to talk about infertility testing. So then when everything happened, it became discussion of both
@kiwi2628 I hate water so I drink it with drops. But I still don't drink that much. I'm just not that thirsty and never remember to
@NYTino24 Yeah, Living in NYC has its moments, but for the most part, I love it here! @Sailing_Mama A dip before O is totally normal (I usually get one) I think its the extra estrogen involved in O that cases the dip
@mschandlerandbong1214 yoga and upping your diet game is the best! I'm a huge diet tweaker
@Piccola1988 Another NYer...cool! So awesome you were able to HIO your whole FW! I felt so bad for DH this time because my cycle is so long and he had to keep it going lol
@DuchessofCambridge I think EOD is supposed to be best for sperm quality and quantity, but at some point I feel like lots of people end up at ED because you think "ok, today is O" and then its not, then the next day, same thing! If you don't have any issues with sperm quality or count, go for it!
@haylesbayles Its so hard to be honest with these docs sometimes... but I'm sure they will just tell you that your olden days fun shouldn't be hurting your fertility now
@FLAshley Ugh... so sorry your back at CD1, but you have me lolling about pulling rabbits out of hats!
@darkrose88 Home ownership is so challenging, but rewarding too! Nothing like coming home to your own house! Congrats!!
I am sooooo late to the game today, but I am writing this with the excitement of a giddy school girl!
Month/Cycle: 5/6 4 TTCAL
CD: 2
WAYDTGKU: PNV, Pom Juice, Baby Aspirin and waiting for AF to leave (after 3 days ideally)
R/R: Major Rave ***TMI/TW*** Oh my goodness, I am so excited about AF this month. Not that she is here, but that she is actually normal so far. I know I am probably jinxing it, but it is almost 4pm and I have had a very steady medium flow since yesterday morning. That means I will have at least a 2 day normal flow AF. No major clotting, no brown spotting, just normal flow. Gosh, I sound BSC, but after three 1.5 day spotty periods since my CP, I think my body may be getting back to normal. I am jumping with joy like it's my first moon party (anyone get the reference--see the link if not?)!!! ***TMI/TW***
CS/Q: none
GTKY: What kind of car do you have? What do you love or hate about it? (Same question if you don't have one - what do you love or hate?)
I drive a Mazda CX-5. I love it. It's a fuel efficient compact SVU, gets about 27 mpg and it can fit quite a bit of things to haul around (including my two dogs). I didn't love the price because it was a bit more than what I wanted to spend initially, but I don't regret the purchase.
@NYTino24 That is one crazy temp spike! FX it was O!
50Wife Yay for no work, but boo for the sick child. Hopefully he feels better soon.
SoldiersMom That's a bummer your DH will be gone, but sometimes alone time can be nice. GL on finding motivation to get things you want to done and go to the gym!
Tennis11785 Eek, that is some expensive testing. I don't understand insurance sometimes and that it is sometimes cheaper to pay out of pocket than file a claim. That happened to us when DH broke his foot a few years ago without health insurance. I took him to a small clinic for the uninsured. After getting xrays, a doctors visit and a cast, they told us it would $220 if we paid that day (60% discount). We took them up on the offer. A few months later, I had a really bad kidney infection on the 4th of July and I was insured, my visit to the ER was $800 for meds and the visit. Makes no sense. I hope you are able to figure out an affordable way to get the testing done!
cdnrunning IDK which is worse, WTO or TWW. I get anxiety during WTO because I want to plan our HIO schedule for the FW, and that bugs me. But then TWW feels like a ridiculously long wait to see if we were successful and I cannot do anything about it. Ugh.
@beachbunnyxo123 That's a bummer about your family continuing probing with questions. That is tough.
purplg8r That really sucks on the medical bills. I hope you can get their recategorized to get them covered. I don't understand insurance at all and that despite having to pay premiums, they try to find ways to not cover claims. Also, were you able to get the results back from your BW yet?
@NYTino24 Hahaha to the talking and cursing in your sleep. That's much more amusing than H announcing this week that I've taken to snoring and he's afraid that I've inherited my father's genes on that. Uh, buddy? Remember I'm SICK. And I told you it's in my ears and sinuses? Oh yeah. I think my appointment went pretty well. There was nothing obvious in my ultrasound, antral follicle count was good, and based on that, she said that she expects my AMH to be good. I really appreciated that they had a screen for me to watch so I can see and learn (and because it helps take my mind off of the rest of the situation) and that she talked me through everything. "Now we're looking at your uterus from the side, this is this, that's that, etc." I especially appreciated when she was telling me that the line in the middle is my lining since 1. I was looking at that and wondering if it was something bad and 2. I would never have guessed that you would see that there. I'm always amazed at their ability to interpret ultrasounds and to feel organs by palpating your abdomen. I feel nothing of interest when I do that!
@purplg8r I hope they're able to get that recoded and resubmitted for you soon.
@beachbunnyxo123 I'm glad they're making an effort to be sensitive, clumsy as it may be.
@cdnrunning It's funny that WTO annoys you. Other than the first couple days, I feel like it's the best, most in control part of the cycle. Enough that when that one chick trolled WTO I felt like she was a B-level troll for targeting that group instead of TWW. Thank you for the good wishes! I think it went well.
@Tennis11785 Yikes. That's a good chunk of change for the Counsyl. I don't understand why insurance doesn't think long game with their investments. It would seem to me that it would make sense to cover that type of testing or maybe even incentivize it but you'd have to run the numbers on that, and provide options for people who end up coming back with results that show predisposition to certain things. I would think that it would be cheaper to do that and give people options than to pay for a lifetime of medical treatment. Kind of like when people are complaining about birth control being covered. If you want to save money in the long run, give the pill out like candy and make it free and easy for anyone who wants one to get an IUD.
@heatherdubrow My company has a Town & Country that I was driving when I was at the main office this summer. I was just a little disturbed by how comfortable I got driving it in just a few short days. And that's not even a super new one with all of the new bells and whistles. Thanks for the well-wishes! I think it went pretty well. The nurse said my blood pressure was slightly elevated. Uh, of course it was! So far I liked the place and the people.
@dragonette505 There are some definite pros to not having a car. You forgot what my biggest one would be: Not having to park! I love that about cabs. I just get out and ta-da! No sharking for parking. No trying to parallel park while everyone watches to see if you'll screw up. No commentary from anyone about where you parked or anything.
@SoldiersMom Thank you! I always get the most stuff done when MH is gone. Gym. Cleaning. Cooking batches of things.
@Sailing_Mama Thank you! I often get a dip a day or two or the day of O. Not sure what the process behind that would be though. I like diesel's because they sound like home. I'm originally from Idaho but where I live now, very few people drive them so when I hear one, it's like music to my ears. One thing you may not think of is if you take it through a drive through, they'll appreciate it if you turn it off. It'll save a lot of "What? What? What?" But do then do them a favor and say, "I'm going to turn my truck back on" so they can pull their headset away from their ears. If they work like they used to, as long as you're parked over the sensor (which is a metal detector), it's a hot mic and when people start their trucks back up it's super loud!
@shortstack930 I'm really sorry about CD 1. Personally, I'm obviously team RE. For me, it was both sad and a relief to finally hit the 12 month mark and to ask for a referral. And don't forget. The one good thing about CD 1 is that it's treatyoself day.
@DuchessOfCambridge I'm with you. FW makes me feel like I'm doing something that might help instead of just waiting. Personally, I try to go for a mix of ED and EOD. Sometimes it's pretty tough since it's not like I O on a reliable CD and with H's schedule. If I could perfectly predict O day and since we don't know if there's any MFI involved, I would probably aim for -5, -3, -1, O, +1 so I get a little bit of both.
@haylsbayls GL tomorrow! I used to be more of a fibber with doctors but anymore I'm trying to be 100% honest with them. Last year, the first time I went to my OB/Gyn, she was asking me if I've been doing monthly self exams and with my new honesty policy I told her "uhhh, not really." She laughed and said that where she had come from (I think the Texas area?) she would ask that and women would all say, "Oh, yeah." While she's thinking, "No you haven't." and she said that it's such a change because here I guess most women just tell her the truth that they aren't. Being an aunt is awesome. You get the fun and then to pass the buck when they turn cranky or stinky. "Oh, hey, here's your kid back. Needs a fresh diaper! Hooo-ee. That's a bad one."
@FLAshley I'm sorry for CD 1. What are your treatyoself plans?
@darkrose88 Congrats on the house! Hopefully the process goes smoothly for you guys!
Y'all are so good at remembering who said what in order to tag them in a response. I'm terrible at that lol. I do my best with the love tits though! Trying to get better at it and be supportive!
WAYDTGKU: PNV, vitamin D, fish oil, probiotic, desiccated liver, collagen peptides, pineapple core days 1-5 after O, fertility foods, RRL tea, green tea (1st half of cycle only), BBT, GDTPT
R/R: Rant: I slept so poorly last night, and for no good reason. Rave: my kids doubled up their naps this afternoon, and I got to sleep for 2.5 hours and wake up on my own, that never happens.
CS/Q: No chart question, I’m pretty sure I ovulated, just waiting on a few more temps to confirm. Board question: I’m new, should I be adding TW for mentions of children?
GTKY: What kind of car do you have? What do you love or hate about it? (Same question if you don't have one - what do you love or hate?) Toyota Rav-4 I love that it works lol, I mostly walk wherever I can, but it’s nice to have wheels when when we want them (we were carless for a while which made playdates a little challenging).
@FLAshley Our 4Runner is in blizzard pearl. I love it too but yes on the gas guzzling. Sorry to see you back here. WTO blows. @Kiki75 I think I've been having a hard time because my cycles are so irregular and I never know what to expect in WTO other than it takes me freaking forever to ovulate. I'm really just having a pity party for myself lol.
@mschanandlerbong1214 HA! I'm terrible at it on mobile. If I'm on mobile, I can get a few and then it's just love tits. It's slightly better on my home computer because then I'll open two tabs. It's best at work because...dual screens! Put the thread on one screen and open a duplicate tab on the other screen for my responses.

@mschanandlerbong1214 - Oh I only do it when I'm on my laptop too. Like @kiki75, I open two tabs and comment as I read through. But I like that double screen idea. I try not access from my work computer, but that might need to change.

@mschanandlerbong1214 Haha, I can't speak for anyone else, but I usually open a word doc up on my laptop. As I read, I write responses to everyone and my own post. I refresh to make sure people didn't post while I was typing. Then, I post It's tedious, but it always means a lot to me when I see that people read my post and respond personally, so I try to do that for everyone else the best I can! Totally not encouraging you to be that crazy, but just letting you know it's not always superior memory lol
Sorry gals for not being here today. My heart was just not in it. Thank you all for the tags and your thoughts. You are all wonderful.
@Kiki75 I don't have any plans. Boo on me. I really need to book my first time massage. I get like 6 a year free and never had one. I should do that !!!

@Flashley: massages through groupon are my go to stress reliever. I haven't had one in a while (since December), and I have one planned for this upcoming weekend. I loooooove massages. You should definitely get one!
WAYDTGKU: BBT, CP, CM, OPK, SMEP, vitamins, removed all caffeine and dairy from diet (already eat all whole foods) and reduced my training intensity.
R/R: I'm stuck between just wanting to O already and hoping the OPK stays negative for a couple days to let the egg mature. I have myself half convinced that I'm definitely out this month (even though I haven't O'd yet) just bc it took a year to conceive DD, and on the other hand i have my hopes so high I'm already planning my announcements and leave in my head.

2016 VW Tiguan. I love all tech inside, the leather seats, the turbo engine, drives like a dream, and excellent gas mileage for an SUV. I hate that I can only use premium gas, and I wish it were just a little bit bigger with the hopes of adding baby 2
@LoveInDC that's totally something I would do. I'm only slightly neurotic
@FLAshley girl take as much time to come back as you need ((hugs)) also, I second (third? Fourth?) the massage. It's amazing. I'm totally jealous you get free ones!!
@Kiki75 I made an RE appointment today and ate a giant piece of chocolate cake. Take that, CD1!

Apologies for not being more active this week, I've got a bit of a rough week ahead as well but should be able to support more after

CS/Q:
GTKY: What kind of car do you have? What do you love or hate about it? (Same question if you don't have one - what do you love or hate?)
2016 VW Tiguan. I love all tech inside, the leather seats, the turbo engine, drives like a dream, and excellent gas mileage for an SUV. I hate that I can only use premium gas, and I wish it were just a little bit bigger with the hopes of adding baby 2
@FLAshley girl take as much time to come back as you need ((hugs)) also, I second (third? Fourth?) the massage. It's amazing. I'm totally jealous you get free ones!!

@Kiki75 I wish the ultrasound tech was that outspoken today. Mine didn't say much and it seemed to take forever.
Apologies for not being more active this week, I've got a bit of a rough week ahead as well but should be able to support more after
(Too many to tag, but...) Thank you for all the well wishes! I wish I could say that I feel better, but I'm going to the doctor on Thursday!
@beachbunnyxo123 - It's nice that they are trying to be sensitive to how you might feel, but yeah, that would be hard. Hopefully they will see that you really are happy about SIL's pregnancy!
@heatherdubrow - I feel the same about minivans! I'm hoping that I will hold out and never feel the need for one!
@50Wife - FX you stay healthy!
@Kiki75 - I think it's great they do the SA right away. Definitely one of the less invasive tests, so it's good to get it over with!
@dragonette505 - FX that your temp spike means O! It looks promising to me (but I'm a newb!).
@Sailing_Mama - I've only temped for one full cycle, but I did have a pre-O dip!
@shortstack930 - I've been working nights for almost 4 years straight now; it definitely weakens the immune system! Sorry about your CD1, but I hope you like your diva cup. It takes some getting used to, but I like the cups better than the alternatives I've tried.
@Piccola1988 - sounds like you're going to have great timing! GL!
@darkrose88 - congrats on buying your first home!
