So I was thinking about our board and how much it has changed since the beginning. I thought maybe everyone who is still here, back, or maybe new could do an intro again. I know I was gone and came back and while I recognize a lot of names I don't recognize everyone.
I was also thinking about trying to get the pinned threads un-pinned and maybe starting a weekly randoms thread.

Re: Role Call
I like to cook, go to the gym (cardio kickboxing), snowboard, hang out with friends, and watch football. I have two fur babies, Carlos (Siamese cat) and Gunner (Coonhound mix).
I am a graphic designer and do some photography on the side. I am job searching for something closer to where I live, my current job is 40 minutes away.
I can't really think of anything else to say. My life is kinda boring.

I like to run and hope to run with the baby when the weather gets warmer - my BOB running stroller was my must have baby item. I do compliance work for a health insurance broker so I'll be busy with impending ACA changes these coming years. My company is really great and flexible which will be nice with the baby.

TTC#2 April 2019I'm an emergency room nurse and absolutely love it. I live about 45 minutes outside Boston, and if it weren't for the commute I'd love to work at children's hospital because the pediatric population is my favorite to work with, but I deal with a lot of pedi where I am now. I have 2 jobs.. one is per diem. I work nights and don't sleep much.
I love going to live shows although I don't have much time for that now. I love snowboarding and the Bruins, and going to BC hockey games with my dad.
Seems like there are only 10 or so regulars left on here. It's nice to get reacquainted!
I am 28 and H is 26. Our first child Mason was born on October 26th via c section due to being breech. I am loving spending time with him but already looking forward to having another baby in a couple of years! We also have 2 fur baby dogs, Jax and Geno.
I have a bachelor of Recreation but before leave I was working with as an insurance broker doing home and auto insurance. H will officially be a lawyer next month.
He will have a raise but unfortunately still not enough for me to stay home. But I will be looking for other jobs since the hours at my current employer is not conducive so having a family. I would miss a lot of bedtimes and with H being a young lawyer his hours wouldn't allow for daycare pick up so I need to find something that will.
Before pregnancy I was a competitive cheerleader and loved it. Now my hobbies include working out (though I wish I didn't have to!), watching some great tv shows with DH, and spending time with family, and cheering on the Pittsburgh penguins (we are HUGE fans)!!
I like this thread. What a great idea!
I used to be a teacher, but right now I'm adjusting to two kids and being a stay at home mom. I used to belong to a book group and cooked more, but with a colic baby I'm living in hell. She cries all the time and then I can barely make any meal for myself. My husband is great and cooks breakfast, but when he is at work (swing shift) I'm left to cooking dinners that are simple and quick. I didn't make enough frozen meals. I also try super hard to make time for the other kiddo which leaves me stretched thin by the end of the night. Having two kids and no family around is hard.
I'm on maternity leave until the middle of March and will then return to my high school teaching position. I teach AP English Language and only recently retired from coaching swimming at both the high school and national level (babies take over, ya know?). I was a competitive swimmer for 18 years but it has now become a "hobby" as has a variety of other activities - TRX, hot yoga, etc. I'd prefer to be on the beach every day of the week, but alas it's really friggin cold right now and I can't wait for summer. I've always been a reader too but lately have been binge watching tv while nursing nonstop.
Oh, and DH and I have already started the great "will there or won't there be a third baby" debate.

I'm with everyone that there is no time for hobbies anymore. Netflix, Hulu, and Playstion Vue is my life right now. Can't wait until the baby is older and can start doing fun things together.

TTC#2 April 2019I'm Anne, H and I are both 28 and we are back living in Wisconsin (Go Packers right @m6agua ) where I grew up after living in Denver for 4 years. We welcomed our baby boy Michael when I was induced at 37 weeks due to preeclampsia which caused me to be on bed rest for 10 weeks. He was born happy and healthy so it was worth it!
I will be returning to work teaching (so many teachers!!) third grade on the 6th and it will be so weird since I don't even know my class and have been gone for so long. I have already had nightmares!
My hubsband and I love to eat out and watch good shows on Netflix and also go to small local breweries and play cards. I feel like we are just starting to do these things again with our LO and it's been crazy stressful for me to take him out anywhere but I'm getting better!
I'm a neuromuscular massage therapist and will be returning part time to work at the beginning of March. H and I are hoping to delay using outside childcare for the first year. I've been doing massage for ten years and am so grateful for the flexibility it has allowed me in transitioning into parenthood. Hopefully H will be able to "relieve" me from momming a couple of evenings a week after he gets off from work so I can go to work and have some adult time.
My husband and I are both in our early 30s. We have a 3 year old boy and November baby girl.
I love to travel, read, take photos, watching documentaries/Netflix and go hiking. I used to teach and now I'm home with my littles - plan on staying home until they're both in school.
I'm Canadian.
I forgot to mention we live in Seattle, WA. We recently moved here after living in Boulder, Colorado where my husband lived his whole life.
I'm a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse at a local children's hospital and as much as I love my job, I am so thankful to only have to work part time! Seeing what I see can often skew my view of reality, but working half-time gives me to opportunity to leave work at work and more fully enjoy this season of young motherhood.
My husband is a Police Officer and we are praying this is his last year of night shift! It's hard to juggle two children, working and keeping a house with a partner who works crazy hours and is tired all the time. I'm just thankful he is so committed to us and he does do his best!
My hobbies right now mostly involve snuggling babies, watching Netflix and counting down the dwindling days until I have to go back to work (so soon!!).
Im a teacher in Philadelphia and not so anxious to return. I teach 7&8th grade math and science.
I'm Sara. My hubby and I live in the Chicago area and are 30 year old hight school sweethearts. I am a mechanical engineer and DH is an electrician. We had our first baby on November 26th after 2 years of trying. Ended up doing IVF due to my pcos. We love binge watch shows, eat and go to concerts. We hope to have another baby naturally so we are letting things ride!
I'm Teresa, 27, Indianapolis, married since September 2012. We had Elena on November 23, four days early. Fun labor story—my coworker and I took my mentee (is that a word? i've got the red squiggle) on a college campus tour of Purdue on 11/22, and spent all afternoon on walking tours. Sure enough, we dropped her off at home around 5:30 p.m. and my water broke in the car! Contractions came strong and fast as we drove back to our office. Coworker didn't want me to drive home but I did
I'm currently on a Grey's Anatomy binge. I started the show a few days after we got home from the hospital, and I'm now about a third of the way through season 9. I obviously love TV. I like playing soccer. I'm an avid Body Pump-er. I've got a huge sweet tooth!

I went back to work 2 weeks ago and let me tell you ladies it's been difficult. My two older boys are in school and go to aftercare but I have the baby with a family member which gives me peace of mind while I'm at work. My days consist of me waking up early getting kids ready for school and sitter then getting my self dress, packing up the car, dropping off the older ones then driving to sitter house then to work. That takes about an hour and a half. I work for a college in a oral surgery office so as soon as I get in its non stop. I am pumping at work. Then run out of the office to pick up all the kids, go home and cook then bed time routines and packing for the next day. My hubby works a later shift so he doesn't get home till older ones are sleeping. I really thinking about cutting my hours at work at least until LO is a little older.
i was more active here in the beginning of the pregnancy, but kind of disappeared for a while. I'm back now (but often just lurking)

I went back to work last week (Sr. Admin at a nonprofit) and though it's hard not being with her all the time, I am enjoying having a real routine again. E's in daycare and of course picked up a cold her first week. So far it's just a runny nose, no fever or anything, and it seems to be improving so we're hoping her little body is doing a good job at fighting it off. I have never had enough of a supply so I'm pumping at work, but also sending her with formula. I like to think that my body's ability to create antibodies to her sick are helping her fight this cold, even if only about half her nutrition comes from me.
I love to run and can't wait until spring when I can get out there. We have a Thule jogger so we can take her out with us. I have exercise-induced asthma and can't breath if it's below 50 F outside, so I probably won't be able to get out until April/May (which is when she'd old enough for the stroller anyway). We bought a stationary bike shortly before E made her appearance, but I haven't gotten the hang of it yet. Also into yoga, but never seem to have time to do much.
I'm a big reader and joined a local mom's book club that is just starting in my area to force me to read at least one book a month. I am a big fan of "real" books, but found that there's an advantage to ebooks when I'm breastfeeding because I can read them on my phone and flip the pages with one hand.
I've been lurking the past couple of months, but am hoping to be more active. Hubby is in school full time online which has been a bit challenging with having a newborn but we're powering through. There's been some family drama, unsurprisingly, as my mom has virtually bailed on me to help watch LO when we go back to work, which I had not really expected. My dad and stepmom have stepped up, though, so that's a relief.
My best friend just had her baby last week, also a boy; we're excited to experience motherhood together and hoping our boys are going to be best friends!
I love photography and am trying to build up my skillset as a hobby! Over maternity leave, I've re-binge watched Gilmore Girls and Parenthood, which was amazing. Now I'm watching The Good Wife for the first time - highly recommend!
hjmommaplus1 I go back on 2/13 also!! Same with the books - my eyes glaze over and I pass out before I finish the page. Which ones are you still hoping to read?
I'm Megan and my DH and I had our baby girl, Nora, on 11-26-16, 2 weeks past due. Ended up with 2 induction attempts and then a c-section. I work in sales for an automotive supplier in the metro detroit area and go back to work Feb 20. I enjoy running, skiing, ice skating, horseback riding, reading, cooking, craft beer and home brewing, scrapbooking, and sewing. Not that I get to do much of that anymore! We also have a German Shorthaired Pointer named Bailey. She is 10 and recently diagnosed with cancer, so we are giving her the best life possible, not knowing when she will start declining.
DH and I are working on tackling some of our debt and then selling our house and buying in a less expensive area (we will make money on it), so I can stay at home with Nora and any future children.
Looking forward to seeing this board get active again and watching our children grow and learn!

I teach elementary kids. I love to read and also like to cook and bake. I really used to enjoy hosting different get togethers at our house, but since having kids, the only things I seem to host anymore are kid birthday parties. Oh, and DH got me crotchet stuff for Christmas, so I guess that's kind of a new hobby. I've only found time to make two little coasters so far.
I've been a SAHM since DS was born 2 years ago, but before that I did IT at Apple and Twitter and even did a little stint as a journalist. I love to cook, read, and run, but I have pretty much zero time to do any of those things these days. We have a 4 year old black lab, who we all love, but is way too energetic and usually pretty badly behaved (think Marley & Me).
Looking forward to getting back into this board and connecting with other moms with little ones
I work at an Animal Hospital as a dog groomer. I am going back to work this Saturday, but luckily only one day a week for now. I have been trying to get back into an exercise routine but haven't been totally consistent. LO is very gassy but I think we have
