Babies everywhere!

How are everyone's littles doing?? Miss Delanie is doing wonderful, feeding on demand and gaining weight by the day! Big brother finally warmed up to her and now she is his "beba". He's constantly looking out for her, and loves to hold her and kiss her. We're technically 4 weeks old today, but a month old on Monday. I can't believe she's been here a month!

Re: Babies everywhere!

  • Sam is 6 weeks. Almost but not quite smiling - about to grow out of some new born clothing. Usually wakes up twice at night to feed and naps well during the day.

  • LO is almost 6 weeks. He is happy as long as I'm feeding him or cuddling him! He smiles and coos. Gaining weight like crazy. He's 10.5 lbs and was born 6.12. Holy cow! Big boy already wearing 6 month sleepers. So weird since he was so tiny. Time goes by too fast.
  • She is in 3 month onsies perfectky!!  My son wore 0 to 3 for like 2 months but not her haha.  We went to a wedding this weekend and there was a 5 say old baby.  She looked huge compared to him!!  She breastfeeds on demand still but has taken a bottle amazingly. I've been pumping for a while and that's going great too.  Glad LOs are doing good:)

  • Nicholas is 6 weeks today and doing great, such a sweet baby! He cries when hes hungry and wet and that is all! Time is flying by and its crazy. It seems everyone is really busy with their babes, so thanks for starting this thread!
  • My son only cries when wet and hungry also (or wants to snuggle). We are lucky! @sarah1198
  • You guys are lucky haha she's a pretty good baby but she's gassy as can be, just like my son was so gas drops for her :( but otherwise she's good, she hates tummy time lol and I check the bump daily and missed having active threads :)

yes I miss the active threads too! So dead lately and Facebook is only SO entertaining while I'm nursing. I didn't even try to join Jan 17 facebook group...didn't think I'd get accepted.
  • So glad others are still checking in! Barrett is 7 weeks old now, almost time for his 2 months checkup and shots, which I am dreading.  He is a fussy baby that spits up a lot, I'm beginning to wonder if he has a lactose sensitivity.  He is a  formula fed so we may try switching to a lactose free variety soon.
  • Maybe I'll get a 2nd facebook set up, cause I do really love my July 15 group, we're super active lol and oh man....I haven't even thought about 2 month shots!!!! Eek...as for the formula, The Honest Co. Has as sensitive formula I hear is pretty good, it's a little expensive but maybe give that a shot?? Poor guy :( my best friends daughter had a terrible reaction to formula and breastmilk when she was little. Turned out she is lactose intolerant and allergic to soy protein. And she was allergic to something in the breastmilk, I don't remember what it was. Poor girl has several severe allergies :(

  • Ditto on the shots. Eek. So sad! I know with DS1 he had a really weird reaction to his shots. I still get them for my kids but no more than 2 at a time. I'm a nurse so I definitely agree with them though. Can't believe people's babies are 2 months old now! I'm 2 weeks behind but it goes by SO fast. Sorry about your LO having a reaction to his milk...I know they do spit up so much. I had DS1 go on a 2 week course of ranitidine for reflux and after that it settled his tummy. These babes are so complex. I always worry about eating/drinking too much dairy or caffeine and upsetting LO....
  • Awww shots :( poor munckins, I dont want to even think about it. How will you guys be giving them? Is 2 at a time a good recommendation @kaytastic25 I am definitely for them but I am hesitant to get multiples at a time
  • @sarah1198 We'll be doing all recommended vaccines at the recommended times. We did this with DD1 and it worked well. It seems like a lot on them but it isn't too bad. Some babies may have reactions and that might warrant slowing them down I would just go with what your pedi recommends.
    DD1: EDD 12/21/11 - Born 11/24/11 at 36w1d
    DD2: EDD 1/16/17 - Born 1/12/17 at 39w3d
  • Whatever you are comfortable with and what your pediatrician says is what is recommended (like PP said). Your pedi is a doctor obviously and knows best but you are mom and have choices. There's tons of information out there to help you make decisions and it's a very personal choice. :)
  • We did all the ones recommended at once, and DS never had a reaction til the third set of shots, he got a high fever. Come to find out he also had an ear infection at the same time though :( we did hep b at the hospital this time around so it should just be 2 shots and the oral one. I hope lol I don't do well by myself taking the babies for shots :(

  • Thanks guys, Im nervous since this is my forst time. Hope all goes smoothly!!
  • It's heartbreaking, but it's over before you realize it! DS cried the first time really hard cause I was feeding him and he fell asleep and the nurses decided to try to get them done while he was out. Not a pleasant wake up call :( after that he only cried for a few minutes.
