I dont know what I can do to calm my nerves. I was pregnant 5 years ago and I lost my child. It wasnt a normal miscarriage because I didnt bleed or anything. I went to the hospital when I was 10 weeks cause I was having a hard time breathing and they found my baby stopped growing at 8 weeks. Now I am pregnant again. 12 weeks and 4 days. I heard the heartbeat at 10 weeks 2 days and it was around 160. Im just nervous cause I barely have any symptoms and I am barely showing. I dont know what to do to calm my nerves.
Re: Cant Calm Nerves
I bought a fetal doppler and that has been a life saver. Not sure if you have one or an interest in buying one, but it has been amazing getting to hear the heartbeat whenever I am feeling anxiety!
Sending positive vibes!
Im trying to dive in a bit more - made a purchase, telling people as I see them. I have moments of "but what if" but less and less.
i hope you feel better about things soon - the 13th week seems to be big for women and the worry lessens but be sure to let your doctor know about your anxiety around it. My dr had been very helpful and understanding - talking with her regally helps. She actually just taught to use the Doppler I just got prior to me using it - she's not a fan of me having it but said she'd rather me be less stressed and know how to find the heart beat. Lol

I've have a daughter and I still worry now. Everytime I wipe it's like a moment of truth. I just say a prayer for the baby everytime I feel some doubt. Every appointment makes me feel better.
The unknown in pregnancy is rough. I'm not much of a worrier outside of it. I'm super chill about my daughter but I can see her lol.
I personally didn't get a doppler because I know I'd be a wreak if I couldn't find it and it's a common thing to happen.
My belly pops early (huge bloat that stays sll day and then gets harder), especially with the 2nd, but it doesn't really help calm the nerves. Feeling kicking does... but they of course they decide to stop for a while and you try everything for hours to wake them up. A lot of women don't pop until the last trimester, especially for their first.
You're a mother! The worrying comes with the territory. Explore stress relief- what helps? Exercise/yoga? Reading novels? Prayer? Therapy? Good ole commiseration here on discussion boards?
