Rants/Raves: getting conflicting information on whether or not all my documentation for my maternity leave has been received and not getting callbacks is irritating the hell out of me...don't they know they shouldn't piss off extremely pregnant women??

GTKY: What is your biggest struggle at the moment: my gestational diabetes....I just want to eat what I want to eat already instead of worrying about how many carbs are in my meals...

    How big is baby:
Size of a cabbage patch doll

    Upcoming appointments this week:
None this week... start weekly appointments next week!

    Any new symptoms or changes:
More pelvic pressure... discharge (TMI)  and I have had a few contractions. At my last appointment last week I was dilated to a 1, baby is head down and the doctor could feel his head.

    Rants/Raves:
So glad baby is good and healthy, but I am so ready to be done.

GTKY: What is your biggest struggle at the moment:
My biggest struggle right now is being patient. I'm tired, I'm cranky, and I'm just ready to be done. I am ready to meet our son. I know that is selfish because he needs to cook longer but I can't help but find myself wishing for labor to start.
  • How. far along are you: 36 weeks

    How big is baby:
well at my growth ultrasound she was measuring 7 lbs 6 oz, but according to the aps, she's papaya, 2 Liter soda, footlong sub, power drill, large cantaloupe, chihuahua, cabbage patch doll

    Upcoming appointments this week:
Another NST on Friday, OB appt on Thursday

    Any new symptoms or changes:
high BP at my NST, but I get it down by the end of the test.

    Rants/Raves:
Can't wait to get the crib put together.  I also had a very good review at work :)  I am just currently waiting for the promotion offer letter and compensation...which should come in 2 weeks.  (provided I'm still at work!)

GTKY: What is your biggest struggle at the moment:
Right now I'm getting info about possibly being induced because my BP at my NST is high in the beginning.  But, I am waiting for my OB to confirm what could happen in the next couple weeks.  I'm also with @ngcsugirl1112 - I am ready to be able to eat what I want when I want.  (ie an entire bag of cadbury mini eggs)

    How big is baby:
    tackle box

    Upcoming appointments this week:
I had one Tuesday - I was closed but she said that my cervix was softening so that was a plus. She also said to me "you won't be pregnant forever" so maybe baby is just in there for the long haul!

    Any new symptoms or changes:
I have had some hip pain this week, still with the heartburn, hungry ALL THE TIME.

    Rants/Raves:
Nursery is done! I am ready to meet our little girl! But I am getting increasingly anxious about delivery; what to expect, when to go in, etc. My doctor said contractions every 5 minutes for at least 2 hours. I just don't want to waste my time and it be a false alarm.

GTKY: What is your biggest struggle at the moment:
Anxiety about delivery. I want to stay calm, don't want to freak out, but don't want to wait too long or go too early to the hospital.
  • @lindsey2017. What would help with your anxiety over the delivery and arrival at the hospital?
  • @lindsey2017. What would help with your anxiety over the delivery and arrival at the hospital?
You know, I am not really sure. I know I am ready mentally and physically to give birth - I guess at this point it is a waiting game - I am a planner so the uncertainty of when it will actually happen is the major thing that is contributing to it. I have a busy couple of weeks coming up with things with friends so hopefully that will help the time pass where I am not just sitting around waiting!
  • @lindsey2017 trust your body to tell you when to go.  And of course read the stories of those of us that are giving birth before you and learn from our mistakes.
  • @lindsey2017 I am in the same boat.  I am so anxious to have this baby. Not really scared or nervous. But like you said,  I feel mentally and physically ready and the waiting is driving me nuts.
  • disneybaby84 Yes thank you. Its gone now but I spent from the 2nd-16th (even somewhat now) ill. I suffered with this sinus infection bc I was trying to clear up the kidney infection. This month has totally blown balls.

I got married on weds- and threw up all over my dress....thanks to being ill so long. We celebrated in Disney over the weekend but I was only working at about half speed. Back to work this morning. OMG I will be so glad to have this kid out
