@ChocolateIsLife yep 9am! Decided that DH and I are both going but I'm supposed to go back to work after. This will be fine if good news but if bad it will be hard to put on a happy face. So happy you can relax until your first ultrasound at least! So excited for your great numbers...rockstar betas!

Hi all, we had the ultrasound yesterday at 7 weeks 6 days. Baby A was measuring right on schedule with a very strong heart rate of 180. Unfortunately we lost Baby B; there was no heartbeat, and it looks like he or she stopped growing shortly after the ultrasound last week. I've been an utter mess of emotions. I want to be happy for Baby A, but I'm so sad about losing B, and now I'm terrified something will happen to the surviving baby. We have another ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday to keep monitoring things.

EmilyE13 I am so sorry about baby B. Any loss is a profound loss...and it can consume us. I hope your DH was able to provide some support for you as you got the news and that your Dr was able to reassure you about baby A being a ok! I think in IF we are all waiting for the other shoe to drop so I can see how this would make you even more concerned about baby a! If you haven't talked to your Dr some...I would encourage a call. I am glad they are getting you in more often to keep monitoring and so you can see a happy and healthy eggo A on Tuesday!.

lilmissslp My husband finally thought it felt real at our 2nd scan when the baby moved.

cherrybea sorry you got the nausua...anything working to combat it? SO excited for your US! Darn waits!

Hi ladies! Thanks to all of you for thinking of me today. I was a bundle of nerves and couldn't sleep much last night but we made it through and to today's appt.

We have two healthy babies growing right on track! Baby A's heartbeat was 135 and baby B's was 133. We saw them move but didn't get to hear the heartbeats (guess they don't do that until 10 weeks). I was so relieved to see both sacs contain a baby and pretty shocked that both took! RE said there's still a chance of vanishing twin syndrome occurring but usually they can determine that at this appt. and both babies looks like they are healthy and growing right on track. Financially twins were not something we were prepared for, but I'm sure we can make it work and we are both just so happy right now. Kind of a surreal feeling. My next appt is actually with my new OB on 3/6 (we're going to Florida for a week from 2/25-3/3) and then I have an appt. scheduled with RE for 3/13 to get the QNatal non-invasive prenatal screening which I guess is a blood test to test for chromosome abnormalities.

Looks like I'm out

. RE found 2 sacs in the right Fallopian tube today and still nothing in the uterus. Did more blood work to see if everything is resolving itself, otherwise I get a shot to end the pregnancy and then have to start over. They kept telling me that I didn't do anything wrong, but it really doesn't feel that way. Right now I'm just hoping the blood work shows that the pregnancy is ending naturally.

This is such a rough journey reading through these posts can be encouraging and uplifting and I'm so happy for all the support. My heart also breaks every time I read of an unsuccessful pregnancy. My prayers go out to everyone in this journey.

emgem819 Wow...those are beautiful looking eggos! So exciting to see them on the US! Were you able to hear heartbeats! Lucky lady to get to go on a week vacation! Sounds like perfect timing to get a bit of a relax and celebrate! Will you have another US with your RE or will you just move on to your OB?

cherrybea I feel pretty darn good most of the time...except when I feel like crap lol. Heartburn is real (mint tums is my only life saver). Some headaches earlier but not so much now. A lot of food doesn't sound good...and I have been tired. But otherwise same old same old. In the first few weeks I had some back pain too I guess. Popcilces, toast, peggo pops, fruit, potatoes...all are good choices.

@becauselove thanks! no, we didn't get to "hear" the heartbeats, I guess they don't do that until 10 weeks at your OB. My RE wanted to see me in 2 weeks, but since we'll be in FL then and I've already scheduled my first OB appt. at 10 weeks for March 6th, I'll keep that appt. then will go see my RE on March 13th for the chromosome blood test as well the last ultrasound with them. It's still pretty surreal right now.

@EmilyE13 i'm sorry to hear about your other twin not making it. I'm worried about this myself. I have heard it's pretty common early on in a twin pregnancy. Hope your other bean is strong and can hang in there. Hugs to you.

If I have to go the shot method it's an intramuscular shot and I haven't done one of those yet (vaginal progesterone suppositories) any tips on how to make it as painless as possible? I don't need that added stress to go with it, you know?

amanning2011 I did a bunch of the IM shots in my leg when we were doing IVF. Do you know where you will be doing the shot? Honestly it wasn't that bad (I had to do it daily). I did IM shots myself.

If you are doing it in the butt its all about where ya hit (some times I am more sensitive than others to the needle but I am betting you will have a smaller needle then a PIO needle so maybe won't feel it at all). I know some people have talked about icing the spot some before hand. I also think they even have a numbing cream you can buy at the pharmacy.

Maybe some other ladies have some other suggestions.

. ***TW***I have unfortunately have had ectopic pregnancies two times. Both times I have had the methotrexate shot and it has been done at my doctor's office. It definitely stung but nothing extremely painful. Again so sorry you are going through this!

I'm really sensitive to needles (part of the reason I have a phobia) and even the subqs hurt a lot unless I have my numbing cream, the problem is that's only skin deep and I'm not sure exactly where the shot will be beside in the butt and I can't just cover everything with the cream.

@amanning2011 I've done so many of the PIO shots I think my butt might have permanent damage lol. Heating up the needle before it goes in (I wrap it in a heating pad for a few minutes) has really helped the pain for me. I can't say it still doesn't hurt but it helps at least.

amanning2011 I’m so sorry. My previous pregnancy ended in an ectopic. I was absolutely heartbroken and felt so guilty. It’s been 4 months now and through the help of a counselor, I know there was nothing I could have done to change the outcome and the same goes to you. My sweet babe had a heartbeat so I had to have emergency surgery. I also then had to have the methotrexate shot which was done at the hospital (I’m pretty sure you are not allowed to administer it yourself). It didn’t hurt me at all. AFM....I had my ultrasound today. I was super nervous because my symptoms are so mild in comparison to other women in my BMB. But I'm soooo happy to report that we got to see our little bean's heart flickering away on the screen

Baby is measuring a couple days behind but my RE was not concerned. He said a few days is not a concern, especially with a good heart beat. Although I completely trust him I still had to google it myself lol. I have another appointment for U/S and bloodwork in 2 weeks before I graduate!!! Hopefully we'll be able to hear the heartbeat then

@amanning2011and @emilye13 I'm so very sorry to hear these updates. This week has sucked for us. Ugh. Hugs and prayers for strength to get through this.

AFM: 2nd US (double check and torture emotionally) today showed no change in my 2 gestational sacs, no growth and no baby. So.......I stopped ALL meds and wait for natural miscarriage. Talk about torture! I'm so nervous about this because I haven't had a "heavy" period probably in 16 years! I'm freaking out slightly about the uncertainty of it all.
As we all love a plan, I don't do well until I know what's next, or to expect and I don't get that luxury right this minute. So, we wait.
I'm going to clear away my med station and focus on losing a few pounds. Not been told to, but can't hurt and gives me something to focus on and control.
I'll miss you guys and I'm so happy for all of you that have success and hope I don't see any of you on AN April board (if I'm lucky)!

Something about the real thing at the restaurant tastes better sometimes though! Yes, hubby date night will be awesome! The 3rd will be here before you know it I promise! I know the wait it just killer but just try to distract yourself as much as possible. The TWW was really nothing compared to the wait of 2nd beta to first ultrasound...brutal! You can do it girl!

Hey ladies, so trying to get back on the wagon this week. I was excited because the doc said I could do another transfer on 3/10 but then my lab work came back and my estrogen was over 500 still and she wants to recheck it in 4 days and if it hasn't gone down to under one hundred, I'm going to be pushed back until April to have my FET. Anyone have any experience with this and do u think it's realistic that my estrogen could possibly drop over 400 in the next 4 days? Sorry for the long winded question.

Just an update on me ***tw***

Ended up not having to do the shot. Thursday night I was in so much pain I called a friend to take me to the er, apparently with a twin ectopic pregnancy there is a higher risk of tubal rupture. The tube didn't rupture, thank goodness, but I was in enough pain my RE told the hospital I should have surgery instead. Yesterday morning I finally had the surgery to remove the right fallopian tube and am now at home resting. They did find both embryos in the tube so I am no longer at risk, but now we have to wait for my HCG to go down to 0 which can take up to 6 weeks so I'll be out for a while. Thank you all for your support and well wishes this month. /Hugs.

@emgem819 I completely agree about the restaurant being better! The way they prepare the salad, with the red onions, olives and cheese...nommmm. Thanks for the positive thoughts! The wait is indeed so brutal, and my mind is overanalyzing everything at the moment, so I'd like it to stop so that i can start being as excited as I want to be. I started prenatal yoga though, and it was amazing. There are so many on Youtube, and it really put me in a positive state of relaxation. Going to make sure I continue those twice a day. Are you going to be joining a BMB or PAIF?

@daniella144 my estrogen this last cycle was pretty high before the transfer (i think 845) but I don't have experience with the levels being that high that far in advance. I hope someone on here will chime in with some helpful experience. Keeping my fingers crossed that you can transfer in March!
