almost 16 weeks. I used to have a flatish belly. A per diem nurse who hasn't seen me in a while said, are you pregnant? I wanted to say nope just getting fat.
16 weeks tomorrow. I've officially graduated from "blump" to "bump." A blump I can squish into regular jeans and have a muffin top, but this bump won't let me button some of my less-stretchy pants anymore.
im 12 weeks and embarrassed to be "showing". I just want to hide it all still. With my 17mos old I showed so much later. Now I feel like a fatty to be so much bigger his time already. I work with a couple girls that were sooooo tiny with their second and third kids so I keep comparing myself to them and thinking my coworkers are going to be like DAYUM, you are clearly letting yourself go this time around. I need to get out of my own damn head and just embrace it. I'm so self conscious with this pregnancy.
dmbfan46835 thank you! And, omg. You are still very thin. Please don't be hard on yourself. I get where your feelings are coming from as I've always been petite, but yes, we just have to embrace it.
@dmbfan46835@DeansGirl14 I literally looked at dmb's photo and was like....am I blind or is there basically nothing there? You are looking great!! I wouldn't even call it "showing" yet. I've looked like that non-pregnant after eating a burrito.
@dmbfan46835 I guarantee you that hardly anyone can even tell you are pregnant. You are being too hard on yourself. I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and everyone is shocked I'm pregnant (with #2) because they can't tell. I of course can tell. It sounds like my body is similar to yours. I'm sure you won't be "huge."

@dmbfan46835 I look exactly the same as you rn. I told my DH that I'm all bloat and boobs since it's still too early to show. I'm not ready to post yet for the same reason (self conscious and in my own head) so kudos to you. Don't compare yourself to others!
Thanks ladies! This is my morning belly. If you saw that at 3pm it would be a whole different story. And I'm only 12 weeks! All you got mamas are way ahead of me! I busted out maternity pants for work yesterday already:( it's so hard not to compare to other women. These cute all belly mamas make me so mad! I gain in my thighs and arms when pregnant too so I'm already up like 16 lbs and you are only supposed to gain like 5 in the first tri. What. The. Heck. The pic doesn't show my giant ass, lol!
@dmbfan46835 I have been wearing maternity pants since 7 weeks. There is no shame in breaking out the maternity clothes earlier. You are just enjoying the comfort longer . I am also gained a lot more weight this time around than I have either of my other pregnancies.
14wks 3days. I thought this flowy top would cover my belly, but it actually accentuates it lol. I haven't told anyone at work so I'm wearing a cardigan right now.
Every single woman on this thread has an incredible body; no body shaming yourselves! @dmbfan46835 Lauren, your body is killer! @DeansGirl0329 Another compliment on your shirt, I love the belt!

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
14 weeks on the day of this picture. I'm 5'9" but I have a tiny torso... I'm like 80% legs! My belly definitely sticks out more than I expected as a FTM but DH loves it so I'm owning it haha
ETA: the outtie belly button gets even further out during the day!
@DeansGirl14 - more love for your shirt. Is that Isabel Oliver? If so I've been eyeing that I was afraid it would be too much fabric this early on, but now I am tempted!
@dmbfan46835 you look amazing and I feel insecure like you as well. I am 13w4d with my third and just don't feel like letting it all hang out, but after 3pm I feel huge. My second pregnancy I didn't need to tell anybody until 20 weeks and I had stopped running as that was after 3 losses. This time I am running 20+ miles a week and nursing a two year old - I feel like I should be so much thinner. That being said I'm still not up to weight I was at the start of #2 so I feel some comfort in respecting the blimp for what it is. Also, this is my big boy (I've only had girls). and he is making me hungry and i'm okay with it. Sorry for the monologue!
@SpotConlon I go through the same issues getting dressed for work every day!
@dmbfan46835 You're tiny. I have an 11 month old and I have been "showing" since before I got pregnant again lol. I got exponentially bigger each week too so I really can't pinpoint when it turned into an actual baby bump. I still have baby blubber from my first sitting on top of everything. The only good news is that I haven't gained any weight even though I'm huge lol. I was absolutely enormous with DD and I have a feeling I will be huge again this time around. 15w 2d "morning belly" lol
ETA: this is one of my first times showing my post partum belly to anyone other than DH. I still have loose skin in the front of my belly and stretch marks on my hips from my birth last February. I'm kind of thankful this baby is smoothing out all my loose skin for now but terrified of all the work I will need to do after this one is born.
donehue the shirt is actually White House Black Market. I'm not curvy, like, at all, so I like shirts with belts for a little extra femininity. I put it on today hoping it still fit over the bump and it does, so, phew!
@donehue you are doing whaaaat??? Ruining 20 miles and still BFING?! Holy shit you are a flipping superstar!! You look fab, like you maybe had a big lunch. Jelly!
@middy411 you also look fab. An 11 month old? I didn't even get my pregnant bod back til I weaned at 12 months. I can't even imagine what I would look like pregnant that quick. You look amazing.
@hupp0013 i love that you busted out your mat clothes at 7 weeks! That's awesome! At least you were comfy. I'm about to limit myself to just salads at work for lunch. I need to cut this shit off now, Lol
Thanks for all the encouragement ladies. I was having a fat self conscious pity party day so this all helped tremendously to see you all struggle with the same stuff. I love this birth month. Anyone who says we are snarky or rude, is a dumb shit. This is the best most welcoming and caring board I have seen. Love you all!
@dmbfan46835 I agree about this BMB being supportive (compared to other boards *ahem july ahem*). I had to lol though bc your comment made me think of this mean girls reference:
All you mamas look awesome. I'm in the same boat of having a hard time accepting my body this time around. Last time my belly was hard and this time it's still squishy. I'm trying to embrace it and love the changes as they come but it is hard!
13 weeks tomorrow! Yay for almost being in 2nd tri!!
Feeling very...pregnant today at only 13+1 (FTM). Not sure how I can have gained 0 lbs but still have this belly? PS: you girls look killer! Loving these bumps that are starting to pop!
Ladies you all look amazing! And the support is incredible! Finally got a bump this week just havent gotten round to taking a pic.. @mamaof2hopefully I'm the same - nearly 14w and i barely looked like this at 21weeks with dd
Thanks @megaroo42 it's actually a cheap nursing bra I got off Amazon. I've been over here searching for more "quality" nursing bras and really I think I'm just going to order a few more of these for the next baby. I'm still nursing my 11 month old but plan to wean this week before her 1st birthday on the 28th. I wore nursing bras almost my whole pregnancy last time because my normal bras got too tight and uncomfortable. I'm done searching for expensive ones. Back to Amazon lol. Here's the link to what I bought:
They hold the girls up nicely for that push up effect as im not too busty (regularly a 32B/C) but the adjustment on the straps does slip throughout the day sometimes.
Re: HDBD 2/15
16 weeks! Shows up much better in maternity clothes.
