The first thing I thought of was, "Tell them it's like a TTC temp chart showing ovulation and an implantation dip."
Fortunately I did not say this in real life. Even though it really looks biphasic!

@nytino24 H is a teacher as well and he really struggled going to work after our loss. He said people were constantly asking him what was wrong, why he was down (he didn't tell anyone what was happening). You're a strong woman for being able to do your job after what happened.
@shortstack930 This is why cooking is the worst!
I am so tired this week - I can't seem to get any good quality sleep. Also I'm confused about whether I ovulated or not (sigh, I should have started temping again) because it'd be nice to know when AF will show up. But on the bright side, H surprised me this morning with roses and the Harry Potter boxed set and I literally teared up. I'm so emotional lately about everything and it was so unexpected and sweet. I think he was happy for such a strong reaction.

After watching the show, though, I thought he absolutely had to be found not guilty. I believe that he did it. I don't believe he's innocent. But with the police incompetence involved in the investigation, the fact that a white supremacist cop was targeting him, the whole glove incident -- it's all reasonable doubt. While I personally believe that he did it, I also believe that our justice system has to abide by the standard of reasonable doubt and in this case, his acquittal was appropriate.
I had a similar reaction to the Casey Anthony trial. I believe that she did it. But you can't try someone with no murder weapon, no cause of death, and no rebuttal to the defense's alternative theory of the crime and expect the jury not to see reasonable doubt. It is vital to Americans' freedom that we hold our criminal courts to these high standards and as sad as it is, that means acquittals when the police or legal team screw up.
Anyway off my civil liberties soapbox now! It's a great show no matter which side you come down on.

H and I have arguments all the time about the rule of reasonable doubt because he's more "fry 'em all" and I'm more "show me the evidence." I just keep quoting to him "Better 100 guilty men go free than one innocent man go to jail."

Sidenote: Thinking of that reminded me of my teacher for that class. She as an old lady who used to touch the boys inappropriately (shoulder squeezes, punches on the arm) and everyone hated her.

My husband has been managing to get some Facebook chat messages out. It's the most we've communicated since last week. They're really keeping the guys in his class on a short leash- he said it's more "army" than any of his other army work he's done in recent years. I'm glad we get those Facebook messages, but I'm still missing his voice. (Sidenote/embarrassing confession: I call DH 'Puddin'...yes, like Harley Quinn. And I always go to type 'Puddin' when I'm writing about him. So if I ever slip up and do it, feel free to make fun of me).

Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!
In my opinion that case was the biggest farce of a criminal trial I possibly have ever seen. How the prosecutor was even allowed to try the case is beyond me (not least of all because he was under investigation for tampering with evidence in a different case while the trial was ongoing). That whole ordeal made the Italian court system look like nothing better than a Kangaroo court. I personally don't think she did it, but even if she did, there was just too much wrong with that case for any reasonable person to have found her guilty (except, apparently, for the Italian jury...).
