I will however rant about DH. Yesterday since I was home before him, I was watching to see when he would leave work (thank you find my iPhone). About 10 minutes late he still hadn't left so I called him and he was having a quick drink with a coworker at the grave of said coworker's father (they work in a cemetery) in honor of the father's birthday. I don't mind that he stays but it would've been nice if he would let me know without me having to check up on him. A little later he calls to let me know that he's running through the car wash and then running an errand (making it sound like it'll be quick and also being very mysterious about it). He didn't get home until about 6 pm, he's normally home around 4:45. I was so annoyed with him because he never seems to let me know when something like that comes up! Grrrrrr!
CS/Q: Feel free to look if you like but no direct questions
GTKY: Do you listen to podcasts? If so, what is your favorite? I have never listened to a podcast before. I've obviously heard of them but just never cared enough to actually check one out

@lulu1180 my DH is the same way! It's so frustrating. He was in a car accident once in the middle of the day while he would have ususally been at work (he was dropping a coworker off at the airport) and I tried to explain to him that had it been worse, I never would have known he was on that highway at that time and to look out for accidents. I'm explaining this poorly because it's 6am and I've been up since 5 haha but hopefully you get what I'm saying! Long story short, he still doesn't tell me when he's out of his normal routine and it drives me crazy!

My doctors office is closed today so the appointment I have been waiting for is a no go. I was really looking forward to talking to doctor and getting my lady parts checked. Boo. We have SO much snow and it is still snowing. Everything has been shut down here for two days now. I will post a pic later when DF starts to plow it. It's crazy. CS/Q: I am concerned about my dull cramping. This cycle and last cycle I have really noticed my cramps after ovulation. I know for some cramping during a me after ovulation is normal. Maybe I just haven't noticed before because I wasn't as intune with my bod. Anyone else for ovulation cramps ?
GTKY: Do you listen to podcasts? If so, what is your favorite?
Nope, I have never listened to one.
@lulu1180 DF is the worst one for that. It drives me crazy. He never tells me when he is going to be late. Just shows up with his story. I get after him all the time and tell him when he is late I worry or sometimes I have plans and he ruins them by being late. Anyways, he has gotten better. It will come with time. I can't wait for you to POS tomorrow !!!!! Everything X !!!

@lulu1180 Ugh that is so annoying! My husband once did that -- there was a big train delay and he never told me, and didn't answer his phone (which had died), so I sat at home for 90 minutes certain he was dead. I was bawling on the phone with my parents asking what I should do when he finally walked in all nonchalant. UGH.
@BertiemeetsGertie It may be heartbreak but damn that sounds good! I love raspberry and hazelnut.
@FLAshley I'm sorry to hear your appointment was canceled! I hope they can reschedule you quickly when the storm is over. FWIW I get pretty severe ovulation pain and occasional gas-like cramps for a day or two afterward. I had my ovulation pain checked out and apparently it just happens to some women.

R/R: Sometimes I wonder if I am a really insufferable patient. I have an RE appointment today, and I assumed that his practice wouldn't know very much about my newly discovered genetic condition so I printed out some info about it and about the genetic test I want them to get me into at a hospital in the city. I figured it would be easier to just say, "Here's the thing I learned and what I want to do. Here's the phone number at Mount Sinai for you to call." But I hope they don't hate me
CS/Q: Ugh I temped this morning and didn't even look at the temp... I'll have to ask DH to look at it for me.
GTKY: I listen to two podcasts and I highly recommend them both! The first is How Did This Get Made, which is a hilarious podcast about bad movies. Each week, the core team of comedians/comedy actors plus a guest talk about a new terrible movie. If you watched the TV show The League, it's Andre and Rafi from that show. I also listen to Bitch Sesh, which is a hilarious podcast about Real Housewives. Really funny though it got me watching more Housewives which can't be positive for my productivity.
Testing: still testing out trigger. super duper squinter again today, but curiously my OPK is finally negative. science is interesting. I might stop testing soon and just wait till next week or continue to torture myself, i'm not sure which is worse.
R/R: yoga again this morning! I have been so tired (thanks estrogen and progesterone) I passed out on the couch at 8. DH has been a trooper picking up my slack, he even is going home at lunch time to clean the bathroom! That is true love!
CS/Q: nope, still super ugly.
GTKY: Do you listen to podcasts? If so, what is your favorite? I don't parse, but DH downloads some for me for car trips. I love all things NPR. Car talk, Wait wait dont tell me, ask me another etc. Oh and @haylsbayls has an excellent choice of this american life. If anyone is interested you can listen to all of these on your computer by going to their web pages and you don't have to down load anything.
@lulu1180 you have such willpower, and I would be right there with you SS (hell I am and my chart is not nearly that pretty!!) if I had that chart. Fx so hard for you
@adirat DH and I LOVE how did this get made. We have a road trip this week and have downloaded a few for the ride! And FWIW I'm a pediatric PT and have a child with a rare condition on my caseload and I appreciated that her parents came equipped with information. Her whole team was on the same page because of it! @lulu1180 fingers still crossed for youuuu!!!! I have had the same discussion with DH. I don't care if he is out late, I do care if his plans change and I think he is dead in a ditch. So one time I stayed out and didn't call and he was freaking out.... it got better after that. @FLAshley I also have pretty bad ovulation pains. Only ever on my right the last up to 3 to 4 DPO about. And only some months... Likely the right side ovulation months. I asked my doctor. Her very helpful advice was to take a motrin. *I need a new doctor.

How did this get made is awesome. I work with a lot of children with Autism spectrum disorder so a lot about that. And my absolute favorite is the"Disney dish" podcast by Jim Hill media. @WillRunForWine21 Thanks, that is helpful to know! I don't want them to think I don't trust them, but I just spent daaaaaaays researching this so... I kind of know what's up.
Also @WillRunForWine21 regarding your ovulation pain (since it sounds a lot like mine) -- my doctor told me not to take motrin or any anti-inflammatory until after ovulation has happened. Some amount of inflammation is required for the egg to "burst" out, so if you reduce the inflammation you could delay O. I have had some success using the heating pad for my O pain instead.
Eeeeek. @adirat thank you so much for that! Like I said, it is really time for a new doctor. *TW* last month with my CP she gave me the ever so popular "relax and it will happen. wabash15 Science is a curious thing! How long does the trigger normally stay around?
adirat I think being an informed patient is a good thing and it really comes down to how you approach it with your doctor. Doing research and being invested in your own health should be what every doctor wants. Now, if you were trying to force a diagnosis or rude in your demeanor, that might not be well received. But showing you are just as interested in finding out the answers as they are should be a good thing! That's just my two cents. GL with your appt!
FLAshley when did you get off birth control? I got off in October and the first three cycles, I had no PMS symptoms or anything leading up/during AF. However, last cycle (number 4 post mirena) I had a whole slew of PMS symptoms including cramping, twinges and aches leading up to and during AF. Your body may be regulating.

Rave: I feel better today than yesterday. Trying to be a little more positive overall. Also, looking forward to go to dinner with friends tonight. Odd day to go out with another couple, but neither of us really celebrate Valentine's Day, so it works, lol.
Rant: I woke up and stayed awake earlier than I wanted to get up...had the option of coming in later today. Boo body! But, at least I slept through the night and was able to temp. Also, my blood sugars are all over the dang place for the past few days, which has me worried. I keep dropping to the low 60's out of nowhere, even though I just ate an hour or two before. Ugh.
CS/Q: Got no question. But my chart has my mind pre-occupied with SSing...but I have no symptoms. So...that's disappointing.
GTKY: Do you listen to podcasts? If so, what is your favorite?
No, not really. I tried to listen to that one pod cast, I think it was called Serial. About a murder or something of a teenage girl a long time ago. It was good, but I didn't finish it.
@adirat Good luck at your appointment. Don't worry about being organized. You are paying them and it is their job to listen. Hopefully they go the route you want them to go !!
@wabash15 That IS true love ! DF never cleans the bathrooms but I must say he is a good kitchen bitch.
@WillRunForWine21@adirat I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with O pains. I was starting to worry. Mine is usually on the left side. They do last for quite a few days. Last night both sides were kind of achy and my lower abdomen. I had to sleep on my side to soothe the discomfort.
@willrunforwine21 Your Valentines tradition sounds nice. Enjoy your day .

I am, however, really excited for the 3rd season! I also listen to a ton of audio books.
@WillRunForWine21 that sounds like an amazing v-day tradition! I am down with breakfast for any meal! @dilynne when do you start your new job? @dragonfly87 are you diabetic? sorry if you said that before and I just forgot. @wabash15: I am not diabetic, but I am hypoglycemic and likely pre-Type 1 diabetic. It's a bit complicated, but my mother was diagnosed with Adult Onset Type 1 Brittle Diabetes at the age of 43. I have a lot of the same symptoms (frequent urination, kidney infections, low blood sugars), so I am being monitored, but nothing definitive. My A1Cs are trending in that direction but are healthy at the moment.
@lulu1180 Hey, I'd love to hear about your SS! But, I'd be super annoyed with your DH too. I've trained my DH to let me know if he'll be late, citing that I try to plan dinner for when he'll get home, but really it's just nice to have a heads up. I'm lucky that he's pretty good about it now. Do you think he said "errands and car wash" when he really meant "stay for another drink"?
@haylsbayls ugh, I'm sending a bunch of middle fingers across the interwebs to your BFNs.
@FLAshley so sorry you had to miss your Dr appointment Also, I started to get O cramps, and cramps after O when I had been off my BCP for 4+ months. Nothing horrible, just noticeable. FX it's a good sign for you!
@adirat girl, never feel bad for being your own advocate when it comes to medical issues. I've personally had too much shit go untreated/unnoticed/improperly treated to worry about being a pain in the ass. Ok, that's a little bit of a lie, because I'm a people pleaser so I still worry about my Dr hating me. But, especially in your situation, I see NOTHING wrong with being informed and being a "squeaky wheel" so to speak. What is the genetic test that you want?
@wabash15 high-five to your DH for picking up the slack. I love that he's being helpful!
@WillRunForWine21 man, the BSC SS is crazy across the board today! At least we're consistent lol. And, enjoy your VD traditions!

@dragonfly87 I forgot to answer your question earlier about trigger. It depends on the person and the cycle. it can be out of your system in 4-6 days or it could stay around till 12-13days post trigger. This is the first time I have ever tested out my trigger. Last time I would just test at 14dpIUI

About 10 minutes late he still hadn't left so I called him and he was having a quick drink with a coworker at the grave of said coworker's father (they work in a cemetery) in honor of the father's birthday. Grrrrrr!

@haylsbayls Sorry for the BFN. Do something special for yourself. Hugs.

Month/Cycle: 9/10

Month/Cycle: 9/10

I have had some success using the heating pad for my O pain instead.

wabash15 Science is a curious thing!
@bertiemeetsgertie: yay for agreement with FF! Also, enjoy your heartbreak coffee
lulu1180 FX for testing tomorrow. For your DH, that is annoying...but do you think maybe he was getting you a Valentine's Day gift or something? That might make it a little better...

@wabash15 That IS true love ! DF never cleans the bathrooms but I must say he is a good kitchen bitch.
@WillRunForWine21 @adirat I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with O pains.
@dragonfly87 I wasn't on birth control in years. DF had a vasectomy so we didn't need it. Glad your feeling better today !!

GTKY: Do you listen to podcasts? If so, what is your favorite? In the beginning of the "paranormal revolution" I used to listen to Paranormal Podcast and Anything Ghost. Yes, cheesy I know, but they helped pass the time on long drives. Recently I really enjoyed the first season of Serial, but I really didn't like the 2nd season. I am, however, really excited for the 3rd season! I also listen to a ton of audio books.
@dilynne when do you start your new job?
@dragonfly87 are you diabetic? sorry if you said that before and I just forgot. Not to fuel the BSC but if you are and your blood sugars have gone wonky it could mean good things.

@BertieMeetsGertie Yay for solid CHs! Hope your colleagues enjoyed the Oreo truffles! My employer has their Valentine’s Day social today with cheesecake, yum!
@FLAshley The BFP dreams are the worst! Hope this one actually means something!
@adirat I would think they would rather have a well-informed patient that is interested in their care than someone who prefers to remain ignorant of what is going on with their body. I hope the appointment goes well!
@wabash15 It’s been REALLY hard not to POAS but I know I wouldn’t want to see that stark white BFN just in case it was too early.

Love podcasts. Someone recommended Bitch Sesh - thank you! I dowloaded it right after I read that, but then I lost whoever said it so sorry! But thanks!
Serial is amazing - only season 1 though. Dr Laura - I am very against a lot of her feelings on women etc, but I love hearing the calls. Straight up with Stassi is okay sometimes. I think that's about it for now. I have more, but I haven't been listening to them lately. I've been spending an obscene amount of time listening to CNN, NPR and MSNBC lately. Like, I cannot stop, no matter what I do.
