Who's acting like a twatwaffle in your life today?

  • @kjd291 that's so obnoxious ...I don't remember any family members on crazy labor watch last time so none of them better get that idea this go around. I'm actually more worried that no one will pick up when I am in fact in labor because they all suck at answering the phone lol. I already plan on copying and pasting a text to everyone and at the end of it telling them we will update them when there is something to update about and won't be answering any texts from here on out
  • @jenny0228 bleh!! Definitely twatwaffle coworkers! People are so clueless
  • @Gators&BoSox yes! Every time I call my mom and she doesn't answer I get unnecessarily upset... like: what IF this was THE call and I need you here ASAP to watch DD. Hah.
  • How obnoxious @kjd291! We didn't tell anyone we were going into labour with our first because we didn't want any phone calls or texts. Just a phone call when she was born  This time my mom will be here watching DD, so I'm sure she will be texting and calling people, but my phone will be shut off!

  • Oddly enough, the twatwaffle in my life presently is the OB that I'm stuck seeing while my regular doctor is on vacation. So, there are only 2 other OBs at the clinic I go to, one is a man and the other is a woman. The female OB is all booked up this week and next, so I have to see the male OB. I had an appointment yesterday and will go in again on Monday.

The dude gives me the creeps in a major way. First, he reminds me of my old principal fromschool, who was a total perv. Second, he carried on for way longer than was appropriate about how special I am for having an AB+ blood type. And then he went to a whole different level of uncomfortable. At this clinic, having your cervix checked is completely optional, and mine had just been checked on Thursday. I had to tell him 6 times that I didn't want to be checked. He has enormous fingers, and again, male doctors make me extremely uncomfortable  (especially this one). My fiance was sitting there and was about ready to deck him after the 5th "Are you sure you don't want me to check you? It is optional, but you are here." The whole thing was just very creepy and unpleasant.
  • My sons second birthday was this month, so I've been seeing a bunch of memories pop up on my newsfeed. One especially adorable picture of DH and DS the morning after he was born pooped up two days ago, and it brought me to tears. I shared it, being careful to write in all capital letters THIS PICTURE IS FROM TWO YEARS AGO. Plus you know how shared memories are in that orange box. Anyway, I totally got comments congratulating us, lol.

  • My boss apparently had a little hissy fit because I left an invitation for all of my co-workers, including her, inviting them to the baby shower that my in-laws are throwing us.  My co-workers had a little shower for me recently and apparently it is offensive that I invited them all to the main shower because she can't afford to get me another shower gift.  Which I absolutely would not expect her to - I'm already honored that anyone from here got me anything at all.  But this woman has to make EVERYTHING about her.  She also likes to do this thing where she sets up little tests to see if people are cleaning the way she wants.  She recently gave me a write-up for slacking off on my cleaning, and when I asked for examples, the only one she could give me is that it doesn't look like I have been mopping the INSIDE OF THE  CLOSET FLOOR. So tonight as I was doing my mopping, I made sure to mop in the closet, and happened to see a pen on the floor, tucked way back in the corner.  There is no way it would have rolled under the door and gotten in there; the door is pretty much flush with the floor, plus my boss likes to use her own special fancy pens for strictly staff use and cheap pens for client use and this was one of her pens - she tried to set up a trap for me.  It's pretty bad when I have one of the easiest, most laid-back jobs in the world and yet I am questioning whether to come back after maternity leave because there is only one baby I want to deal with, and she's not it.
  • Mine is also my boss who made one of my more sensitive employees cry before 7:30am this morning. I seriously don't think my entire team will be there when I get back after my 8 week mat leave.
  • @SienaC
Yeah, it was just very unpleasant. I'm going to have a chat with my doctor about him when she gets back. Maybe there's a way that I can make sure I don't get stuck with him delivering the baby.
