-my bachelors in History, minored in business. I had originally planned on continuing college and getting my masters in education to be a teacher but at the time a lot of education jobs were cut so I didn't want to spend the money in my masters and be stuck

-nope not all all, couldn't find a job related to history, job now is billing specialist/accounts receivable.
This is why I wanted to post this, I don't necessarily use my degree so I'm curious as to how many others don't

I would, but I guess it'll depend on how my current job goes, if I keep getting promotions then I might not need to go back to school. But if I do it'll prob wait until my kids are older

If school wasn't so expensive I would probably always be in school. I would like to get my Master's and would also like to get a minor in English, and then get my Master's in that as well. But... money.

My job that pays the bills has me working at a bank..which I hate, but they have three months paid maternity leave so I am sticking it out. But my fun side job is that I am the Youth Music director at my church where I very much use my degrees and love it.

I would love to go back and get my Master's in Education. I would love to teach lower grades and incorporate songs into learning every day subjects instead of just being limited to the music classroom.
However, based on the fact that I am still paying off student loans from undergrad and I don't think I want to work full time until I have children in school themselves, I think it will be a while before I actually go back.

Does your job coincide with your major or minor? When I was going to school I worked in a drug court and the degree would have matched my career path. Due to army moves, I became a SAHM mom. I had dreamed of going back to work but I started in a direct sales company this year and it's been going very well so I guess we will see what the future holds. I never thought I would do sales or fashion.

When I am angry about work, which is thankfully super rare, I think I will go back and do something TOTALLY different! I work in public service, so going back for more schooling might actually make it hard for me to get a job in my current interest areas because I would be overqualified (and perceived as costing too much).

It actually coincides with my undergrad Comm major, but not my PhD. DH and I got married while I was finishing my dissertation, but he already had a tenure track job at his alma mater. Public Health jobs are thin on the ground in such a small town and we're here until he (hopefully) gets tenure, at least. So, I hopped career paths and became a full time writer and copywriter, instead, since it makes more money than adjunct teaching. We keep fantasizing about moving to Atlanta, though--he could work for Emory or UGA and I could get on at the CDC. #longshot
