I had a sono and cell free DNA blood draw this morning at MFM. The sono went well and my SCH is gone. That was a relief. They needed to call over to another department to do my blood draw because my veins are so terrible, but I almost always have a less than pleasant experience with blood draws.
NT ultrasound Wednesday at 13+2. Relieved to have heard the heartbeat last week after waiting 4 from the first ultrasound so now just very excited to see baby again. Will wait until next week for results of the first trimester portion of the integrated screen and DH's CF test results since I am a carrier.
I had my first appointment with my midwife yesterday. All was good except she felt like my cervix was a little short. My last delivery was fairly spontaneous (15 minutes in car) so she is prob being overly cautious. It won't get measured until an ultrasound on 3/15. In the meantime I have a half marathon coming up on the 26th and ran 20 miles this past weekend in blizzard conditions. I am a crazy runner and I know that if my cervix is weak I need to cut back, but I don't know if I can cut back without knowing for sure. Although the risk of bedrest might help scare me into it. Anybody else been told their cervix might be short?
I have my monthly apt with my dr this friday, hopefully then we'll be setting up an appointment to get my ultrasound down soon! I'm 16 weeks today and can't wait to find out what were having!
I went to the dr today. Nurse couldn't find baby's heart beat with doppler so we did a quick check with the ultrasound. I only saw the babe for a couple seconds I go back in two weeks for anatomy scan and to start progesterone injections. I'm excited to see the babe again and learn what the sex is!
I had my NT scan last week and today received the results. Low risk!! So excited for this news. At lunch I picked up an envelope that has BOY or GIRL written in it. We will open it tonight together. What a great Valentine's Day surprise!
I had my monthly appointment today. I always feel like I should be asking more questions than I am, but at this point things are going smoothly. I got to hear baby's heartbeat which was nice, and my husband got to meet the midwife. That was about it, though! Scheduled my next regular appointment and have had my anatomy scan scheduled for a while now--only 5 more weeks!

Exact same here, except my husband doesn't come (he's just coming to ultrasounds- hard to get off work).
My doctor commented on my tattoo- it's about 2 inches wide and an inch tall between my belly button and pubic bone. He said, "That's going to get huuuuge." I said, "Well, I was 18 when I got it. I don't care." Haha. Believe me ladies, a lot of people commented on that when I was 18- why did I get a stomach tattoo and didn't I care about being pregnant one day? Look, my days of low-rise jeans and crop tops are long over. Only my husband ever sees it and if it looks terrible after birth, no need to wear a bikini.
Oh, I also got blood drawn for an... AFP? APB? Some kind of blood test to scan for abnormalities in spinal cord development or something. I'm just chill about this- do whatever test you need, let me know how it goes. Here's my arm.
@SpotConlon@DeansGirl14 SO was running late to my appointment today (14w) and so I tried to stretch it by asking questions. But my best question was literally "so are there questions that other people ask at this appointment that I should be asking?" Answer: no.
SO totally missed the handheld ultrasound show when he showed up as I was getting to checkout. His loss - he made for an otherwise spectacular Valentine's Day, though. His gifts: flowers and getting his birth certificate sorted so he can finally get a passport - helloooo babymoon!
Had an ultrasound yesterday bc my obgyn was slightly concerned about babe's size.. but ive been drinking a lot more water lately hoping it would help and thankfully everything is looking a-ok! Measuring right on target with my lmp, and so grateful Dh could take off to see our little nugget just movin around in there and waving its hands!
Haha the ultrasound tech asked if it was our first kid bc we were just stupidly grinning watching babe on the screen. Told her no and she just smiled to herself and went back to measuring. Hellooo lady! We're having a baby amd everything looks good! We're excited ok?
I'm at the doctor right now. 14+5. Hoping to hear the heart beat on the doppler and schedule the anatomy scan. Anyone else hate peeing in a cup as much as me?

My office using tiny Dixie cups. I have never been able to create a good stream for urine collection lol I almost kept missing but thankfully I had to pee so bad so there was a lot to keep trying with.
@DeansGirl14 I have a tattoo on my hip and it actually didn't stretch out TOO bad. It does have a couple of stretch marks running through it. I had a regular OB appointment today. Everything seems fine. It did take my doctor long enough to find baby's heartbeat to freak me out a little bit. She did eventually find it and it was in the 160s.
I had my first ultrasound today and while the tech said everything on baby "looked perfect" she ultrasounded both of my kidneys. Did anyone else have theirs looked at during a first trimester screening. It has me a little bit worried. I'm sure it's nothing but I do have a history of renal cell carcinoma in my immediate family so of course I'm nervous.

@hupp0013 and @DeansGirl14, I legitimately JUST remembered as I read your comments that i HAVE a tattoo on my lower left hip. Goes to show how important it is hahahahahahahahahaha (I got mine at 18 too). Guess we'll see how it goes. Maybe in July I'll start a "how stretched did your tattoo get" thread?
@blackandyellow they looked at both of my ovaries (cysts on both sides, one that we'll monitor because it's 3cm) but not the kidneys. I agree with @brookedeyo that they were probably just being thorough. When I had my vaginal ultrasound at 8 weeks, the doctor showed me my bladder (and apologized that it was so full and probably made the ultrasound uncomfortable). Maybe the tech was just walking you through everything as they were seeing it and it was just a coincidence. You could ask your doctor. I'm sure (s)he'd explain if there was a reason. I literally thought they were just going to measure the back of the baby's neck at my NT ultrasound but we looked around in there for 10 minutes, then again when the doctor came in for another 3 or 4.
@Blackandyellow At my first US, at about 7 weeks, they looked for a lot of things, my bladder, the whole uterus, the tubes, ovaries, and I think they showed me a kidney as well. They could not find one of my ovaries, but weren't concerned, and said they would just make sure they could find it next time. At my NT scan they spent over 45 minutes looking at everything and getting the baby to move into good places, but also looked at the same things, and found the other ovary. Try not to worry too much and make sure to ask if something sounds odd to you.
