Testing: BFN today which is not surprising, see below
R/R: So yesterday I had more red spotting, and yesterday was '15 DPO' and still no period, so clearly I O'd later. I took a test this AM just to check, negative, so now I am just hoping it comes today. I hate waiting. I also almost never have a 28 day cycle; it's long for me. I don't like it, it just means more waiting and I am far too impatient for this nonsense.
R/R: Rant: My chart is an effing mess. I dropped a solid half degree below the cover line. I'm assuming it's because I'm mouth breathing but who knows.
CS/Q: not really, just wanted to whine, see above
GTKY: What was your favorite toy as a child?
I was a big fan of Lego
@kiwi2628 sorry for the wonky cycle. I know how you feel
@cdnrunning DH is still a big fan of Lego; in fact, he still has several rubbermaid containers in the basement full of his many sets.
@beachbunnyxo123 Sorry for the crappy night of sleep. I agree with @cdnrunning I think an extra cup of coffee or tea or whatever your drink of choice is in order
Month/Cycle: 8/12 (5 an-O)
CD/DPO: 20/10
Timing: -4, -2, -1, O
Testing: Wednesday evening or Thursday morning if temp hasn't dropped
R/R: The SSing saga continues! This is usually about the time my nipples get to sensitive, the slightest touch makes me want to scream. And nothing yet. Any my temp dropped .3 degrees (although still .5 degrees above the CL) so of course I'm feeling out but we'll see what the next couple days bring. Andplusalso this whole thing just has me wanting to burst into tears because I really just want to know but at the same time I can't bear the possibility of a stark white BFN so I'd rather wait until I'm pretty sure it's going to be positive. Also, I'm trying to find other possible causes of all these symptoms in case this isn't my cycle.
Not TTC related: My sister found a house to rent and will be moving closer to her family! I think she said she's thinking March 11th for a moving day but I'd have to double check with her. I'm mostly just really excited that she won't be 45+ minutes away any more.
Finally, I only have a half day of work because I have the follow up appointment for my cysts to make sure they are resolving on their own.
CS/Q: Nope, but you're welcome to take a look if you like
GTKY: What was your favorite toy as a child? I'd probably have to say Barbies. My friends and I used to play out seemingly epic stories with the barbies for hours upon hours.

Probably barbies. I had the camper and this cool swimming pool!

Testing: probs tomorrow - it's H's bday. Then 10dpo if I can rein it back in
R/R:. H is so cute. He asked me last night when we'll know. I explained that I Oed late (Tuesday) so we don't know yet. He asked if that meant af would be around for valentines day/his bday. I laughed and told him he gets at least another week. Boys! Had a bit of a headache and mild nausea last night and then again when I woke up early this am. All aboard the crazy train
CS/Q:
GTKY: What was your favorite toy as a child?
Hmm. I really liked my American girl doll (felicity). I would save all my babysitting money to pick things out of the mail in catalog for her
@BertieMeetsGertie Sorry you have to find a new stylist! Can you ask your current one to recommend someone?
@cactusblossum I think the things some of our SOs say are hilarious! Thankfully MH has a slightly better idea thanks to the fact that he raised sheep growing up.
@haylsbayls Sorry for the BFN. Hugs friend! Take as much time as you need and remember we're all here for you whenever you're ready to come back!

Testing: still testing out trigger, super super faint today so Hopefully it will be gone tomorrow, if so I will probably wait until next week to test again...
R/R: Got my yoga in this morning. I am super proud of myself for getting off my duff and getting back into exercise. It's monday and this TWW feels like its dragging...
CS/Q: nope, still super ugly. Major spike today but still no 3 days of sustained high temps.eh... I think If i have to do another medicated cycle next month I will probably stop charting after IUI.
GTKY: What was your favorite toy as a child? cards we used to play a lot of rummy or gin.
@kiwi2628 if you want to post your chart I'd be happy to give you a stalk to see if maybe your O day is off...
@beachbunnyxo123 sorry today is starting off crummy, I hope it gets better
@lulu1180 fx so hard for you girl. I understand the desire to live in hope.. GL
Sorry to post and ghost this morning, but heading off to my annual exam and hoping to start getting some answers about my short AFs, insomnia and other issues. I will respond to all you ladies later today!
Month/Cycle: 5/5 3TTCAL
CD/DPO: CD 19 / 8 DPO
Timing: -5, -2, -1
Testing: not sure--but I will be going to dinner with friends tomorrow night and they will want to drink, I know it's super early (only 9DPO), but would you ladies test?
R/R:
Slept so so, but the insomnia is creeping back now that I am at 8DPO, happens every cycle at this point. Still using Natural Calm, so it isn't as bad, but still noticeable.
Rave: Well, my temp shot up this morning. Not sure if it was due to the insomnia (though I temped after a 3 hour stretch), but around this time of the cycle my temp usually starts rising...so probably nothing.
R/R: DFs not speaking to me, lol. He will get over it. It's over something stupid. So stupid, I can't even remember what it is about. We have a blizzard warning here today - 70cm of snow expected. Yikes ! We are heading into town before it gets too bad out to get storm supplies.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What was your favorite toy as a child? I can barely remember yesterday so I am going to guess it was probably my little kitchen set. I remember playing with that a lot.

Oh, and I laid into DH on Saturday because he's STILL SMOKING. There was no name-calling, no threats, no ultimatums... but I did yell and say "fuck" a LOT. It's been a bloody YEAR since he's been saying that he's quitting. He didn't argue, just said that he's sorry blah blah blah. Yeah dude, super thrilled that you're sorry, but how about some follow through now? I gave him ZERO impressions that him "being sorry" was cutting it.
And then of course I feel kinda bad because he's such an amazing husband otherwise. Like there's pretty much nothing else I'd want to change about him. But, we can't afford to keep TTC for years, not to mention I'd like to keep him around for as long as possible....
CS/Q: not a TTC question, but now my mobile bump doesn't work AT ALL through safari (page just shows up blank), and when I go through the app it won't let me sign in (just keeps looping back to a blank sign in page). So, I can lurk on mobile, but can't love tit or comment. Any ideas how to fix this??? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
GTKY: What was your favorite toy as a child? Breyer horses fo' sho! I was always either galloping around the house like a horse myself, or playing with my Breyer horses.
Testing: still trying to hold out till the 20th. I started testing out my trigger last week and the line was pretty faint yesterday so I may test tomorrow to make sure it's gone. If it is then I won't test again until it's time.
R/R: I have been sleeping terribly for the last few weeks and I'm not sure what to do. Melatonin doesn't work for me and I don't get 8 hours of sleep to be able to take anything else. Plus, I think I may be getting sick. The last two nights I woke up in the middle of the night with terrible nausea and felt like I needed to vomit but willed myself not to and I had the worst hot flashes during the night last night.
CS/Q: has anyone that has ever taken the progesterone suppositories had it make your nipples sore? Mine have been incredibly sore and tender the last 2 or 3 days which I usually only get for a few days right before af.
GTKY: What was your favorite toy as a child? Not sure
@dragonfly87 I always struggle with that question myself! Was in the same position this weekend and they cancelled last minute so it didn't wind up being an issue but the drinking thing is so hard when people think too may be TTC. *TW* that's the only reason we told our families we were pregnant as early as we did with my CP because if I didn't drink they would've known and we wanted to tell them. Most ladies go by drink till it's pink so even if it is early to test and it's negative then there's that, some women don't drink at all during TWW but I'm curious to see other input on this
@lulu1180 ugh such a tough spot to be in!! I too also hate seeing a stark white test but sometimes I find relief in testing early if the symptoms are strong because there's still hope vs testing later and knowing that's prob your answer. Not to encourage testing early but I can understand both sides. Having all those symptoms makes is so much harder!
@wabash15 Kudos to you for the early morning workout!
@dragonfly87 If it were me, I wouldn’t test only because the
possibility of a false negative is still pretty high and as I mentioned last night, the sight of a stark white BFN is horrible for my sanity. Graph courtesy of countdowntopregnancy.com

@beachbunnyxo123@dragonfly87 I wonder about drinking during TWW too. I went to dinner with some girlfriends the other night and one that is KU always has a glass of wine with dinner. Her dr said one glass is fine. I have a few friends that have had wine all throughout their pregnancies and have had healthy beans. My dr, on the other hand, told h & I to abstain wile we were ttc and throughout a pregnancy. Each dr is different. I am in the drink til it's pink camp. With that being said, both h and I have really cut down. I've had 2 glasses of wine this cycle.

@dragonfly87 GL with the dr today. Its still early enough that I would probably just have one drink and not worry about it. But do what you feel comfortable with. @flashley I hope you guys can stay warm and out of the storm. Hopefully DF gets over the fight @lund oh girl I would be pissed too! hugs @kaitlink33 yes the sore boobs can totally be from the progesterone. It will/can give you all kinds of fun pregnancy symptoms.

@wabash15 I figured that's what it was. But OMG they hurt so bad, like just to wear a bra for the work day. Damn that progesterone. @LuND thanks for that. Maybe the laxative effect will help my bloating. Lol
I called and made a pre-conception visit with my gyno for next week. I know I may be jumping the gun but it may help ease my mind to speak with her about it. My mother had troubling conceiving, having pcos and endo (took her four years with my brother, and three with me) and she had to get a full hysterectomy after I was born. DH's mom *TW* had a history of MC's while TTC *end/TW*. I know these things aren't necessarily passed on genetically, but I would like to get things crossed off the list as early as possible.

Ok, ladies, I have to run to a meeting and will come back later, but wanted to do a quick update.
Today's appointment did not go as planned and was a hot mess of emotions for me. I managed to keep it together until I got to my car and then I cried. I am not an emotional person at all, but damn this was not the start to the week I wanted.
My doctor wasn't available today, so they plugged in an RN I have never met before. She was nice and well-intentioned, but I felt like she either wasn't informed or very non-nonchalant about her approach. Here is my best recap:
*****TW*****
1. She asked if I was on birth control (my chart says I got mirena out in October). I said no, we are TTC. She said, "It looks like you came in December to see Dr. A****." I said, "yes, I had a chemical pregnancy and was following up." She said, "So, you may or may not have had a real pregnancy?" I said, "well, I was pregnant and I miscarried." She said, "So you got a positive pregnancy test?" I said, "Of course, otherwise I would not have come in." Her response, "Well, at least you know you can get pregnant. So your body knows what to do, but just needs to keep doing it."
2. I mentioned my periods have gone from 5 days to 1.5 days after my CP. It has been 3 periods that are that really short and spotty. This is not "my normal." She said it didn't seem very concerning, our bodies change sometimes. I said, "well, I am concerned because my periods in my entire life have never been this short. I know my body may be adjusting after the CP, but 1-1.5 days does not seem normal." Her only response was "You should be happy to not bleed for multiple days, as long as you bleed every 21-30 days, don't worry about it."
3. Given my insomnia, heart racing/beat issues, short periods and other things, I mentioned I wanted to have blood work done for thyroid and progesterone. The nurse said, "Yeah, it seems like your hormones may be imbalanced after coming off birth control." To which I said, "feels that way." And her response was, (I KID YOU NOT), "Well, you just need to get pregnant! That will help balance out those hormones." It took everything in me to just smile while internally I thought, "I AM FUCKING TRYING!!"
*****TW*****
I then left and cried on my way to work (no real reason for the crying, just overwhelmed). All that to say, the appointment was not great. I feel like a coward for not having said something more direct to her, but I just wanted to get out of there. The only plus is I got my blood drawn and should hear back in a few days about the results. I am never seeing that nurse again.
Month/Cycle: 9/10 month rollover day ughhhhhhhhhh barf

R/R: Friends I am FURIOUS about the legislation @antoto linked. What it isn't enough to ban abortions and block birth control, now we need to ban IVF and tell IUI kids they don't have fathers? What the actual fuck. How is this what people want to legislate right now? How is this real?
CS/Q: Nah but weirdly I already have creamy cm at 2dpo which has never happened to me before. "Could I be pregnant?" said 2dpo adirat before slapping herself.
GTKY: What was your favorite toy as a child? One year I got a handheld toy microscope with a special slide you could put water in. I inspected all the water in our yard for microbes. I think it really grossed out my mom.
@kiwi2628 Ugh with the mindfuck! I'm so sorry this is happening to you.
@haylsbayls Hugs. We'll be here any time. Also I would love to get all these magical magnesium benefits but I just can't handle it. I hope your appointment goes well.
@dragonfly87 wowwwww that is so not okay!!!! I'm so sorry you had such an awful appointment! Is there anyone you can complain to about that nurse and maybe get seen by your actual doctor??

@shortstack930: I have thought about filing a complaint, but she wasn't mean or rude in tone. It was just really insensitive and carefree in her approach. I am not sure what to do.I plan to see my doctor when the results come in for the follow up.
@dragonfly87 omg so not cool. Sorry you had that experience for the testing question, I probably would. Seems like some ladies are getting a positive sometimes at 9dpo and I would stress over drinking and not knowing.
@dragonfly87 I'm sorry. That blows. I agree with you that it's not like she was acting unprofessionally, but rather insensitively given the situation. It also always bothers me when people don't bother to glance at your chart before seeing you (ie the birth control comment). Here's hoping you can see the doctor next time (or if you have abnormal thyroid labs go to an endocrinologist instead).
@dragonfly87 I'm sorry your appointment was awful. Hugs to you. I would still file a complaint about her and how insensitive she was if it was me. But that's also cuz I'm a bitch and over people who act like that at this point knowing you're trying to get ktfu and say well just get pregnant. Hopefully you're dr. Has more answers for you.
@dragonfly87 I understand, just awful that you had to go through that! I had a friend who loved her OB but couldn't stand her nurse. *possible TW* My friend had suffered from anorexia in the past and the nurse was really insensitive and constantly making comments to her when she was pregnant like "you really shouldn't gain too much weight this trimester" or "be careful how much watermelon you're eating because it could cause you to gain too much" ?! She finally mentioned something to the doctor and the doctor made a point never to even weigh her at her appointments and must have said something to the nurse because she kept her mouth shut from now on. *end TW* Maybe when you get in to see your doctor next time you could casually mention that the nurse wasn't very delicate with how she handled your situation?

@dragonfly87 I'm sorry that nurse was such an unprofessional asswipe. Don't beat yourself up about not saying anything/being more direct. I think it's hard to do when you're in the moment, especially when someone's behavior catches you completely off guard. I've definitely found myself in a similar situation (many times) and thought of all the things I wished I would have said after the fact. I hope you can say something to your Dr at your next visit - someone definitely needs to get that feedback to the nurse
@dragonfly87 I'm so sorry the appointment did not go well. I would say something to your Dr. It is important that you as a patient feel heard and that your care providers are sensitive to your issues. Big hugs.

@beachbunnyxo123 I didn't sleep well last night either! We had 60mph wind gusts, so I just laid awake waiting for a tree to fall or windows to break.

@cactusblossum I think the things some of our SOs say are hilarious! Thankfully MH has a slightly better idea thanks to the fact that he raised sheep growing up.
@haylsbayls Sorry for the BFN. Hugs friend! Take as much time as you need and remember we're all here for you whenever you're ready to come back!

CS/Q: nope, it is ugly

GL
@bertiemeetsgertie welcome to this side!
@haylsbayls sorry for the BFN. do what you need but we're here for you any time.
@willrunforwine21 I hear you girl the SS is strong this cycle. I keep telling myself its too early for anything but the crazy does not want to listen!

CS/Q: nada
GTKY: What was your favorite toy as a child?
Probably my Lite Brite
Month/Cycle: 5/5
CD/DPO: 20ish
Timing: ED
Testing: Not until AF is due
R/R: DFs not speaking to me, lol. He will get over it. It's over something stupid. So stupid, I can't even remember what it is about. We have a blizzard warning here today - 70cm of snow expected. Yikes ! We are heading into town before it gets too bad out to get storm supplies.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What was your favorite toy as a child? I can barely remember yesterday so I am going to guess it was probably my little kitchen set. I remember playing with that a lot.
@lulu1180 @wabash15 I'm crossing everything possible for you two ladies !!

Testing: Probably Saturday
R/R: Just over here trying not to SS....
Month/Cycle: 4/3
CD/DPO: 24/ 6
Timing: -4, -3, -1, O, +1
Not sure
@haylsbayls sorry for the bfn
@wabash that gif is everything!!
Most ladies go by drink till it's pink so even if it is early to test and it's negative then there's that, some women don't drink at all during TWW but I'm curious to see other input on this
@cactusblossum aw that's sweet of YH
@lulu1180 ugh such a tough spot to be in!! I too also hate seeing a stark white test but sometimes I find relief in testing early if the symptoms are strong because there's still hope vs testing later and knowing that's prob your answer. Not to encourage testing early but I can understand both sides. Having all those symptoms makes is so much harder!
@cdnrunning seems like everyone is having wonky cycles! The airy fairy in me wonders if it had/has anything to do with the recent full moon.
@beachbunnyxo123 FX so hard for you!!! And, I hear you - I slept like complete crap last night too.
@lulu1180 FX so hard!!! And, great news that your sister is moving closer! Can't wait to hear how your cyst-checking appointment goes.
@BertieMeetsGertie enjoy getting your hair done!
@haylsbayls so sorry for the BFN
@wabash15 kudos on getting some yoga in!
@dragonfly87 FX for a productive Dr appointment!
@FLAshley yikes! Stay warm and safe!
@WillRunForWine21 Fx the burping is a good sign!
@wabash15 Kudos to you for the early morning workout!
@dragonfly87 If it were me, I wouldn’t test only because the possibility of a false negative is still pretty high and as I mentioned last night, the sight of a stark white BFN is horrible for my sanity. Graph courtesy of countdowntopregnancy.com
@FLAshley Hope your DF comes to his senses soon and realizes what a butthead he’s being!
@LuND I’m so sorry to hear that YH is still smoking. I hope he realizes soon what he’s doing and stops for good!
@kaitlink33 Have you tried magnesium to help you sleep? Someone on here recommended it to me and it seems to work pretty good.

FML.
