  • Hey ladies!
    1. 4w4d preggo
    2. Feeling miraculously calm and tirrrrrrred
    3. Haven't set an appt yet
    4. Nothing to rant about yet. Just trying to savor each day that I get to keep this little one cooking
    5. No clue which famous person I'd switch with. I'm so tired right now, is there anyone who is super rich from laying on the couch? Bc I'd like to be them right now
  • @laeberge3  I was so thankful that she gave me the heads-up.  She wanted me to bump it to the 17th but the doctor isn't there in the afternoon and I have a 3 hour meeting in the morning that I can't miss so I had to keep the date.  She didn't care if I switched or not, just said to be warned I will likely have to go back a week later too.

I've also had some spotting last week and this week so this clinic has dealt with me calling and harassing them.  Everything seems fine and numbers were good so they just have to deal with my crazy.  I've been worried about Rhogam because of course I am O- and DH is A+.  Called them again this morning after some slight spotting.  I am going to be blacklisted.  hahaha!!

Hey! So this is my first PGAL check-in so I will give my story really quickly. I was due in November '16 with our second child but when I went in for our routine appointment at 15, almost 16 weeks in June there was no more heartbeat so we were sent to the hospital the next day for delivery.

    1) How far along are you? 4+5

    2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Nausea started kicking in yesterday. But I know it's still early and that symptoms are just around the corner. Emotionally, I am very anxious. The more DH and I talk about it though, the better I feel

    3) When is your next appointment? March 14 will be our first for a confirmation/dating ultrasound

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions I got nada today. Maybe just that I hate my job

    5) GTKY:  If you could switch lives with a famous person (dead or alive) for one day, who would you pick? Ummm George Washington? He seems like he would be an interesting man
  • Welcome @Uhlease13! So good to see you here!

  • Introduce yourself, tell us your story.

Hey! H and I are trying for our first. We've had two unsuccessful pregnancies - one mcc last Feb and a 2nd trimester loss in October.

    1) How far along are you?

    Just barely 4 weeks

    2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally?

So nervous. Just trying to take it one day at a time and tell myself "today I am pregnant".

    3) When is your next appointment?

    Next thursday

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions

It's stranger to see how symptoms compare pregnancy to pregnancy. I know to not compare because each is different, but it's hard.

    5) GTKY:  If you could switch lives with a famous person (dead or alive) for one day, who would you pick? (stolen gratuitously from TTGP)

I will stick with my answer from when this was on ttgp. Donald Trump or George Washington to see how their brains work. Or Amal to be married to George Clooney.

  • @CAdreamin13 I was told to take it vaginally, as supposedly it is absorbed better by your body that way. My obgyn said there isn't much evidence it does all that much, but it can't hurt. I'm not feeling any side effects that I can pinpoint taking it that way. I wish I could be of more help! I can say, it is very early to be feeling any pregnancy symptoms, so do your best to hold onto hope because symptoms are not a reliable indication of viability, generally speaking.

  • I'm so glad this post is here. I've had three losses and three gorgeous kids. My last two losses were in the last 7 months so I'm beyond petrified right now.

    1) How far along are you? 4 weeks tomorrow.

    2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally? So so so excited and petrified all at once. My first loss was three months before I got pregnant with DS but having these last two losses back to back has really done a number on me. I feel like I want this baby too badly, like I'm going to jinx it or something.

    3) When is your next appointment? Oh gosh no appts yet haha! I'll call my doc next week sometime but they won't do much besides blood work (possibly) before 6-8 weeks

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions: No, just always glad to have a group of people who get it.

    5) GTKY:  If you could switch lives with a famous person (dead or alive) for one day, who would you pick? (stolen gratuitously from TTGP) Tough one. Maybe Angelina Jolie, don't overly love her but I love all the traveling and such that she does

This is the second time I've had some spots of blood this pregnancy. It's literally 3 drops of blood when I wipe (TMI?) and I'm trying to tell myself it's nothing. But I'm freaking out. Today's was accompanied with some light cramping which I haven't had in a couple of weeks. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and going for an appointment with my OB on Wednesday. I am so scared, I just want to cry :(
  • @mommac2017 my understanding is that it's normal to spot this early on fx it's nothing and you will get good news on Wednesday.  I know it's nerve wrecking but the best thing is to pray and try to keep yourself busy until Wednesday
  • Sending hugs @mommac2017 hope the wait until Wednesday goes by quickly and all turns out ok!

  • @CAdreamin13, no. I tend to have the opposite problem lol!

Thank you ladies! There hasn't been any more spotting, but still cramps. I'm trying to just relax and breathe.

  • 1) How far along are you? 6+6

    2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally?  Nauseous all the time, with a side of fatigue.  Emotionally I've been okay...I've had a couple of moments of ugly crying, but once over I was fine.

    3) When is your next appointment?  Still waiting to hear back from my OB/GYN.  I called 10/1 to make an appointment.  They asked some questions to which they said they forwarded to to doctor and he'd get back in 5-7 days.  I'm going to call again tomorrow.

    4) Rants/Raves/Questions.  Nausea blows.  Hard.

    5) GTKY:  If you could switch lives with a famous person (dead or alive) for one day, who would you pick?  Jane Goodall.  The work that she's done over the years with chimpanzees had been fascinating.

    Quick question for you guys:

I will be doing a bit of traveling in March and am very nervous. Do you think it's dangerous to have 2 intercontinental flights close together? I'll be traveling from the US to Iceland and Denmark at the beginning of March (multiple connections), get back March 13th and then leave a week later for Paris (for a work trip).

Logically, I know there is no data that show flying while pregnant contributes to miscarriage. However, logic aside, I'm still worried since I flew right before my MMC.

Obviously I'll talk with my doctor at my next appointment, just need some extra reassurance before I book my flight to Paris.
