We have a 2.5 year old rescue dog named Luna! Today is actually 2 years exactly since we adopted her (I was about 18 weeks pregnant with dd at the time) this is her this past christmas
I took this picture just now, at least one of us is relaxed!
This is Jessie, she is a moggie and was the runt of the little so she is a tiny little thing. I picked her up at the rescue centre 4 years ago and she moved down from Leeds to London with me.
She has a lot to say but it always sounds the same and she is mostly very cute.
Here's my old man, Casey! He's a 10 year old beagle cross (no idea what hes crossed with lol) but we rescued him about 5 years ago. I think he's pretty excited to be a big brother!

I have 3 pups and they are (starting on the Left):
- Stoli - 6 year old Beagle/Boston Terrier Mox - Acer - 3 year old Belgian Malinois - Patti - 6 year old Pit/Lab Mix
Stoli and Acer are "ours". Patti we inherited from my husband's mother when she passed away in 2014. Patti is still very much ours but I would never have 3 dogs again! Hahaha!
Here's Gonzo, our beagle, and Juliet, who is a beagle-terrier mix. Jules will be a good big sister but Gonzo is going to hate not being the center of attention.
We have 2 dogs. A Shihtzu/poodle mix, Jack, and a golden retriever, Lucy. Jack is 7. He's a bit of a grumpy fellow who hates our kids. Lucy is the complete opposite. She's only 1 so she still has lots of energy but she has been awesome with the kids. My 4 year old loves on her all the time. Great dog.
We have one dog named Kiba! He is an Irish wolfhound/great pyre mix. We adopted him on this past July 4th. At only 9 months of age he is a HUGE, but sweet puppy!
I have way too many animals to post pictures of them all!
-Mack (Dog)- He will be 7 in September. I have had him since the day he was born. I bottle fed him and took care of him. He was the runt in the litter. He is a pit mix and weights about 80 pounds. -Homer (Dog)- He showed up on my porch 3 years go and found a forever home! He is a black lab and is roughly 85 pounds. -Peanut (Dog)- She is 7. We took her in when my grandmother In-law was placed in the nursing home. She is a 10 pound chihuahua and thinks she is boss! -Roo (Cat/Kitten)- He is about 9 months old and is huge! He is a yellow tabby. A lady I work with found him and his sister (which I have) in a culvert at her church. -Morgan (Cat/Kitten)- She is Roo's sister. She is much smaller than he is and loves to be held! She is a grey tabby. -Marbles (Cat/Kitten)- She is about the same age as the other 2. She showed up on my porch laying with my pit mix. She LOVES him & he LOVES her! She is a small grey tabby too.
I have a house full of animals! I am not a cat person, but I couldn't just leave 4 week old kittens outside and then I fell in love with them before I could get rid of them!
@nmingram it's so strange you have a cat named marbles who showed up on your porch! I had a cat named marbles who walked out one day and never came back!
Top left - Captain Top middle - Fannie Top right - Mister Seconds Gray cat - Grayson Rabbit - Dellinger (my other rabbit, Bunny, passed away this summer at 11 years old ) Bottom right w/ red collar - Minnie (Blue collar is Mr Seconds again)
I also foster cats so I have various others in and out of my life!
This is our black lab/pit mix Pepsi. He's 8yrs old and absolutely hilarious. He's afraid of tiny dogs and thinks he's a human. My husband rescued him at 8 weeks. I wonder how he'll react to a baby around!
Here is my dog Willow, she is Havanese and almost 10 years old. We adopted her from a family that no longer could keep her and she always loved me when we visited so we decided we would take her in 4 years ago and so thankful we did! We also have a cat named barnacles or barns that we took in from my SIL as she had just had a baby and he always wanted to be on her baby but when we had our baby he never bothered with her I'm thinking because he was older. We lost our other kitty this past summer to a coyote among a lot of other people's cats and even a small dog in my community. His name was Bender and him and my now 19 month old were side kicks from the moment we found out we were pregnant we actually rescued him and then found out a couple weeks later that we were expecting our first child.
Cheese - my Lab/Rottie mix with only one eye. He was a shelter return that everyone passed over for months due to the one eye. He's the best dog ever, so they were missing out! Angelo - the flamepoint Siamese mix that I've had the longest of the bunch. He's my old man (around 18 now). MacGyver - the fat Tuxedo cat that is best buddies with Cheese. He's a weird mix of aloof cat and wannabe dog. Jezebel - our senior black kitty who only likes people and mildly tolerates the other animals (but she HATES Angelo). Ruby - goofy little yellow dog. She's about 1 1/2 - 2 years old and behaves like it. She's our newest addition to the family.
This is Link. He's a 4 yr old pit mix and still isn't used to sharing our attention with his sister. He's so tolerant of her though. He's also prone to disaster and has cost us more money than I'd like to admit. His nose is raw in this pic from burying a bone - this bozo does not feel pain ever.
We have two dogs: a goofy, crazy, snuggly, super active boxer/lab mix. And then a super sweet, needy, little princess diva long-hair mini dachshund. The dachshund recently had back surgery due to a herniated disc that caused her to go paralyzed (hey you dachshund owners up there, don't let your dachshunds jump!! sigh...heed my warning lol). It's a long, expensive, exhausting, recovery but hey, she's my original baby and it's a good thing she's cute.
We have two! Gemma is a two and a half year old Central Asian Shepherd and Colby is the little guy...He is 9 and has been my buddy since right after college:)
We have a 6 year old Pomeranian named Kellen and a 4 year old munchkin cat named Mo. Kellen loves my toddler when he has food but otherwise pretty much avoids him (though she does tend to sleep outside his door when he's in bed). Mo actually is much much better with him than I expected though she has nipped at him a few times when he grabs her too fast or tries to pick her up.

This is Neytiri. We lost her to cancer the day before I found out we're pregnant. I adopted her as a birthday present for my husband a few months before we got married. So she was with us since the very beginning. She almost made it to 7. We miss her. Jack (Yak yak to me) is actually my parents cat but he has kind of adopted my family. He's more of a dog than a cat. He's definitely one of a kind : D
This is Zeus, my 10 year old pug. He's in a doggie wheelchair because his back legs stopped working last year. He loves to snuggle and chase his ball (and rest his head on my when I'm not paying attention to him).
Here are my two, Baxter is a chocolate lab and Lola is a black lab/English setter mix. Both absolutely adore my 20 month old, so I'm hoping another baby won't be too difficult of a transition for them.
@crazypuglady so cute! May I ask, did he have a back injury? My dachshund is currently going through rehab trying to learn to walk again and it's a long process. Haven't bit the bullet on the wheelchair yet but we may have to.
@purplestars my in-laws have a 13yo dachshund who had a back injury about 5 years ago. It was severe enough that they were considering putting her down because she couldn't move any of her legs. They ended up doing water therapy for her and she gets around great now, especially for her age! What kind of therapy are you doing?

@jessafishy aw that's great to hear! We are doing the underwater treadmill! She's gone about 4 or 5 times now. She's getting better at it but it hasn't quite translated to dry land walking yet
Ahhh pet threads always make me so happy! Thanks for posting this!!! We have 3 dogs and 2 cats, and they are all rescues:
Cats: Love-Calico and a sassy lady. Suede-Russian Blue, who has a dry sense of humor.
Dogs: Sophie-Border Collie/Retriever, she was the runt of her litter and no one wanted her but we fell in love. She has a big butt. Scooby-Lab/pit/kangaroo mix, a friend found him tied up in an abandoned house. He is our Scoobadoofus/pittopotomus. Otis-Hound mix, we adopted him last summer, and he is such a gentle soul. He is about 9 years old, and was one of the first rescue photo shoots i did for a shelter last year. I fell in love with him and had to take him home. He had been adopted and brought back 3 times for stupid reasons (last owners didn't like dog hair. owners before that got a divorce and neither wanted to keep him. owners before that said he kept getting in trash).

@purplestars- we're not sure what happened. My guess is that it IS some sort of spinal interference whether a tumor/cyst or a ruptured disc or injury. For a while we thought it was degenerative myelopathy which is basically ALS for dogs, but he hasn't progressed beyond his back half. He's 10 so I didn't feel right about sinking thousands of dollars into a diagnosis. He's still himself and not in any pain so we just got him the wheelchair and it's been invaluable.
