I had my first appointment and ultrasound today. I'm a bit disappointed, bc she couldn't find the sac yet. Just a pic of a cyst lol. She said she saw everything thickening how it should and looked good. I go back in two weeks for another ultrasound. I think I'm only 4+2 so it's okay they don't see it yet. Had blood work too to check HCG levels.
Hey guy's had my fist sonogram done the 6th of Feb. Found my little Apple seed!! Fetal pole heartbeat Everything looks great this time. Only thing is that we found a Fibroid
@emwj10187 Yay! I've been keeping an eye out for your update! So glad you got good news! My due date is the 7th too (until my 1st ultrasound, because I think it will be about the 9th or 10th)
This was almost 2 weeks ago, just a little black dot for now but I have another appointment on Valentine's Day for my 6 week (it'll be 6.5 weeks but close enough!)
I had my ultrasound on Friday and they found a yolk sac. I guess it was a smidge too early to see the fetal pole, but my RE seemed pleased. I go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound.
@flgirl20134 I'll keep my hopes up that you get to see something on the next one.
Hello ladies, so I just got out of my first ultrasound and I'm in a bit of shock and very anxious. According to my FET date I should be about 5 weeks 2 or three days give or take. The doctor saw two sacs today. I don't know if I'm in more shock over the possibility that I may have twins or that I was expecting they would be able to see more than just a sac. The doc said the progress looked perfectly normal to her and to come back in two weeks. Now anxiously awaiting
Question for those who have already had ultrasounds. I honestly cannot remember for the life of me when I was pregnant with my other two when I had it done. I know that I was sent downstairs to the radiology department of the building for a transvaginal U/S, but I can't remember if it was the same day as my first appt. I remember hearing the heartbeat that early in the office. So tell me, did you all have the U/S same day in office, same day but sent to radiology, or different day-radiology?
@canonmom413 I'm having my u/s Thursday at 5+6- I'm not sure if this affects your question but I believe most of us having u/s this early are being monitored by REs. My office has everything in one space, so no separate radiology department. Do most OB offices not have ultrasound equipment right there? Or is it just the transvaginal kind they don't have?
@bluejeanbabi05 nope not good ones. They typically have a roll away machine for quick peace of mind by to get good measurements they typically send you to radiology.
Yeah I had mine done in office.. they actually offer both at the doctor's office I go too. But I be was sent to the hospital's complications clinic, we have a hospital devoted to just women and infants here in Birmingham AL. BUT I had one done at 6wks and my next will be on the 20th and ILL be 8wks. I've had a horrible miscarriage and they just wanna watch things more closely. So at the moment I have two doctors but I get twice the U/S's. And yes it was the same day
I have my first one tomorrow because of a MMC in the Fall. I believe I'm just having an external with my OB in her office. I assume she'll send me to the hospital for a transvaginal if she doesn't see what she needs to in her office. I'll be 7w2d tomorrow when we have it done. I've never had this early of an US in her office before. We normally don't get one until 20w but I'm getting an early one due to my previous loss.
My RE moved my first one early because he wanted to make sure it was in the right place. Apparently my progesterone (16) on my first beta had him concerned. All was fine though.
@canonmom413 I had mine the same day @ 6 weeks. I'm not high risk or anything, just my doctor's protocol. Personally i kind of wished it wasn't so early b/c they gave me a scare. It was too early to see anything but the gestational sac. However, I'm also glad b/c the doctors monitored me carefully over the next week and we ended up seeing everything by the end of the week.
@canonmom413 my dr, whom I saw at 4 weeks and 2 days for the "general" due date appointment etc. he usually (meaning last time and this time) has me come back around 7-8 weeks for a viability ultrasound. It's not the vaginal one though. Just regular.

Say hello to our little bean!!! We had our first appointment today! Baby is actually measuring a few days ahead so my due date might be pushed up to the last few days of September! The doc will revisit the due date issue after our next ultrasound, March 20th

CONGRATS @MamaBear148 How exciting! Look at that cute little Bean!!!!!
Yay! This is our little babe at last week's ultrasound- 6 weeks exactly. super excited and so ready for the anxiousness of the first trimester to go away. This little cutie will put us at 3 kids 3 and under! We got to see & hear that sweet heartbeat ticking away which was very exciting.
@beautyundefined girl it's so fun but lots of work! Just give yourself much more time to leave and get things ready when you'll be going somewhere. Lol!
Had our dating and viability scan done on Monday. Little gummy bear measures 1 day behind my estimate, so I'm "officially" due October 1st, so looks like I move from Saturday to Sunday Ticker changer I was so anxious leading up to this due to previous loss, but as soon as she put the wand on my belly, I saw that sweet little hb flicker and I felt the weight of the world was off my shoulders. At least for that moment lol. PGAL brain will be in control for a while still. But everything looked good, I thought I saw a SCH but the tech said she thinks it's just a large blood vessel and the nurse didn't say anything when she called yesterday. Here's our sweet little blob! (Literally just looks like a tiny blob lol) yolk sac is at the bottom under the plus sign.
@sjohns08, that's the most beautiful blob I've ever seen. I'm tearing up over here! I go for my first appointment in 2 hours and 40 minutes (I've been counting down the hours since last night) and I hope to see exactly this!!!!
Had such a beautiful Valentine's Day yesterday with my DH seeing our little one for the first time and listening to the heartbeat! Our pregnancy is high risk due to recurrent miscarriage and we couldn't feel happier that everything looked and sounded great!!! We're still nervous, but our faith and hopes have gotten stronger after hearing from the technician that everything looked normal - and it's only one baby (whew!). We're officially 6 weeks and 3 days (as of today), and our EDD continues to be 10/08/2017. If everything keeps going well, this will be our first baby.
My first us is not until the 27th ugh. By this time during the last 2 pregnancies we already knew it wasn't gonna happen. But this feels different, good different. Can't wait to see the little jelly bean. So happy to see all your beautiful ultrasounds. I really love seeing them! I get so excited for this amazing new life. (Wipe tears)

@mommac2017 sending lots of beautiful blob vibes your way! I counted down all day Sunday and Monday to my appointment too haha. I kept thinking in my head "23 hours....22 hours..." I'm glad I'm not the only one!
@MrsJager2014 congrats on a great scan! Happy valentine's indeed!
@sjohns08, my office just called and changed my appointment to tomorrow. I bawled my eyes out! My PGAL brain really needs this appointment!!! Ugh!! I'm so upset. Back to counting down. 24 more hours!
ultrasound tomorrow morning!! please say a quick prayer for me. this will be our second baby, our daughter is two, and I'm feeling a little uneasy this time around, maybe because this one wasn't planned. nonetheless praying to see and hear a healthy heartbeat tomorrow!
@cythe Thank you for the comment you posted in the other thread- I read it right before I went in and adjusted my expectations a bit (I had all these visions of a strong heartbeat) and that made a big difference. They found a teeny sac and we saw a flicker of a hb but too small to measure. At how early I am they said everything is completely normal. I go next Friday again
