@BertieMeetsGertie I'm glad you got some answers and have a plan in place!  I started taking myo-inositol to treat my (obvious) hormonal imbalance and it seemed to really help the current cycle, so far at least.  It's generally used for someone who has PCOS but it is natural

@BertieMeetsGertie so glad you were able to talk to your OB and that the results weren't super scary.  I hope the meds and acupuncture can help mitigate your stress!

@heatherdubrow hooray for your 4th barre class! you have inspired me and I've done 3 mornings of yoga this week!

@purplg8r  I might just stick with cd18... since likely what you thought was your period may just have been spotting or could have been your loss. sorry its so confusing.

@NYTino24, thanks!  I was told that the recommendation is to wait 8 months after male exposure to provide a buffer after the 6 months it can be in their system, so I'll have to do more research...  6 is better than 8 but it still sucks

  • @Piccola1988 This is from the CDC. It does say "at least" 6 months. https://www.cdc.gov/zika/pdfs/testresults-men-fs.pdf

  • @NYTino24 Yeah if not for the "at least" I would go by that.  Eight months is what the NP at my GYN office told me at my last appointment, but I need to start seeing an actual MD so I'll confirm when I go in next.  No sense waiting an extra two months if I don't need to.

R/R:  ***TW*** I have my RE appointment Monday so I'm filling out like 20 pages of pre-visit paperwork.  I look at my chart online for my OB's office so I can be as thorough as possible with my answers and find that they incorrectly charted me on my last visit and coded me for "Pregnancy examination or test, positive result"  I'm irrationally upset right now.  I already know I'm not pregnant, but it just sucks seeing a BFP in my medical chart and know that its false.  And now I'll have to talk about it with someone at my OB's office to get it fixed and my RE's office to explain the discrepancy.
