CS/Q: so I caved and did an opk today (cb advanced) and got a flashing smiley "high" reading. This seems early for me. Of course, now I am hopeful I will O early and DH and I can HIO with good timing before his surgery. But doesn't it seem early? I usually O around CD14-17

R/R: Ugh so tired today. DF and I went to the gym after work and then went to the movies afterwards. Ate like crap. Then he told me he has to go away Monday or Tuesday for the night. Kind of disappointed because I was hoping he would be present for my doctors appointment on the 14th which is also Valentine's Day. I hate being home alone at night. So I'm stressing over it. Today I have an elderly client coming and he stays while I groom his dogs. He really is a sweet older man but he talks a lot and really low so I feel bad because it's hard to hear him over the clippers. One of his little dogs is a biter and she is so tiny I don't have a muzzle to fit her so she always bites the crap out of my hands. Oh and 20-40cm of snow tonight. So I'm sure I will be off tomorrow. Go away winter. I need sunshine.

R/R: decided last night to run a marathon with some friends on Sunday. I'm not really prepared so we'll see how it goes. But I feel like I need to DO something so there it is
CS/Q: **TW**. I have no idea when to start this cycle. Since my temps dropped and what I thought was AF started at my normal time, I've been temping like normal. And bleeding since that date. That was 18 days ago. So I have no idea when I had the chemical pregnancy. How do I enter that into FF and start a new cycle? Or do I just keep it on cd 18? End TW **

R/R: DH is going to be a way from CD 12-14. I'm not sure when I'll O but it's usually around CD 14 so most likely no -1 or -2 timing. Also he'll be gone for Valentine's Day.
On a positive note: I work part time and substitute teach on my days off. Today the school secretary said that if I didn't have my part time job she'd hire me as a long term sub. I enjoy teaching/subbing but my part time job pays almost 2x as much per hour and while long term subbing pays a bit more it's definitely not that much. I've been enjoying doing special ed. reading the last few days.

@FLAshley My DH has to be away for Valentine's Day and I'm organizing a Valentine's Day party for his office. He won't be there and it's my first event as Family Readiness Group leader which makes me sad. It'll be just me and the dogs which I hate.

@FLAshley enjoy your day off if you have it tomorrow! Sorry you'll be home alone for a night next week-try to enjoy it and just relax. TV to yourself, wine, junk food, order food that he typically wouldn't want to eat but you love! I'm used to it with my husband's schedule so it's just another night for me but try to make the best of it!

@FLAshley GL with the biter today. DH goes away for tournaments a few times a year, and I hate being in the house alone even with the dog. I usually invite some of my friends over for netflix and chill.
@jess0211 It depends on the person, but I usually get 4-6 days of flashing smiles with CBAD so it's not necessarily too early to get one.

Rant- Read a blog post from an old acquaintance this morning. **TW**Don't even know why I clicked on it since it was obviously a pregnancy announcement but I couldn't resist. The whole post was about how she never wanted kids (which I find hard to believe because if you're married and don't want kids then why not use some form of birth control??) and was drinking tons of coffee because she felt so tired then finally decided to do a test and whatdoyouknow? Been KU for like 2 months and didn't even know.

@purpleg8r I think you may not know exactly when this cycle starts and the last ended until you gear up to ovulate TW: with my m/c's I basically just let the bleeding be a new cycle (the apps pretty much make you unless you remove the bleeding from your m/c cycle) and let it be an extra long cycle that ends with my next period... the main thing is just watching for the signs youre gearing up to ovulate...don't worry as much about how its charted. I honestly didn't temp until after the bleeding stopped.
@KariAnn323 I feel you.... I honestly prefer talking only to people in the process about how I feel about it.... Unless you've been through this, I don't want to hear what you have to say or advice... I know that sounds bad, but that's what it is right now.

@KariAnn323 sorry you're having a tough time. I feel you. This time around I didn't tell many people that we are even trying because I didn't want the monthly reminder that it wasn't happening from friends asking over and over. It can definitely be a lonely experience my husband tries so hard but he's more optimistic than I am so he doesn't get it. He tries to calm me down and talk me off the ledge each month, but I feel like everyone here really gets it. It's a nice way to vent or chat and know that we all feel your pain! Hugs, lady!

R/R: successful spelunking last night - which is great because I think I O'd yesterday morning. Although, FF is still completely confused because of my sporadic temping. Whatever. I might move over to TWW tomorrow since my time there is generally pretty short. I'm beginning to think that I've been Oing a day or so later than I (and FF) initially thought ... which would suck because that means my LPs have been 9 days. I guess only time will tell.
Also, my coworker is driving me nuts. She very sweet and very hardworking, but she's just this frantic ball of energy that NEVER stops talking. I find myself wanting to toss a valium into her mouth. Not to mention she's not the brightest bulb in the box. Very a la Jessica Simpson - she once said "Keith Urban has a weird accent, is he from Alaska or something?"
I have to help her with our community's booth at a sports show tomorrow, and while it'll be nice to not be in the office, I'm sure I'll be wanting to strangle her by the end of it.

R/R: dr update: my GYN called this morning and said both my prolactin and FSH were normal but my estradiol was on the low side. She said this kind of hormone imbalance can cause my spotting issue and said it happens because of stress, excess exercise (ha!), not sleeping, etc. if I wanted to treat it, I'd have to go on BC. I told her that since we are trying, I don't want to do that right now, but that is work on my stress. I also mentioned that I only had 1 day of spotting before this cycle instead of my usual 3-4.
I also saw my PCP yesterday for my frequent headaches. Neuro exam was fine but when she felt my neck and shoulder muscles she said they were incredibly hard. Yep, that's where I keep my stress. Anyway, she gave me a prescription for muscle relaxers and a higher strength aleve. I also have a consult tomorrow for acupuncture. So, methinks stress is causing my headaches and wonky cycles. Good thing DH and I are planning a trip to Hawaii in April!

@BertieMeetsGertie I have the same issues with my neck/shoulders and stress leading to headaches too (and if you remember, until recently I also had the spotting issues). Acupuncture really helped my neck/shoulders as well as general, daily stretching. I cant say it's 100% effective, but it seems to help. Good luck!
@FLAshley sorry your DH is going away for a night. I always try to turn it into something fun like watching all of the shows DH doesn't like, having girlfriends over, and drinking wine. And sorry for the bitey dog

R/R: I've had wayy to much time on my hands lately because things at work are still pretty slow. This resulted in me calculating and predicting when O and possible conception would be when DH and I start trying this April. I'm really annoyed now though because based on my predictions we will have to wait until the very end of April if my cycles stay consistant. Damn new job and FML policies! I'm getting close to just saying forget worrying about FML but the financially conscious side of me says no.

@purplg8r if you are TTA / are benched this cycle, it doesn't matter. *TW* Last cycle I counted my MC as CD 1 as they usually say, but later moved it back to first day of bleeding (4days before) and that matched my normal pattern better. */TW* Hang in there, lady! PS totally up to you, but I found that telling my principal helped a lot. I also had a coworker spread the word since I was out for 4 days and I didn't have to pretend I was okay.
