Why does my very large company not have snow day/ administrative leave?? WTF? If the base closes tomorrow, I can't get on base. I was denied short term disability insurance due to pregnancy (I started applying in the fall), so I need every vacation day that I can get for maternity leave. I can kind of telecommute, but I'm a researcher and most of my work is lab based. I can't read papers for 8 hours straight.
So we haven't told our kids yet because they will tell the entire world including our exes who don't need to know now. But our kids are obsessed with us having a baby together. FI has 3 daughters and I have 1 son. They were obsessed with us getting married and since we got engaged they now insist we need to have a baby. WTF man it's like they are animals and can sense it!
My WTF...even though it might sound stupid I'm annoyed. So, my doctors office has been checking in with me about every week because I had some light pink spotting at 6 weeks and they wanted to see me at 7 weeks and did an ultrasound, saw the heartbeat, and said everything looks good. So now im at 8+3 and I have had some light brown spotting just when I wipe and some stringy brown mucous...it'll happen once or twice then nothing til 3 days later, etc...this never happened with my first pregnancy with my DD...I never had any "colorful" discharge of any kind so of course its a little worrisome! So, like I said, docs office calls me to check in. I tell them what's been going on and they ask if I've had cramping...I don't think so, just some occasional dull aches feeling and maybe some RLP...then they asked me if I WANT to come in and see the doctor...I say well do you think I SHOULD come in? They say it's up to me, whatever I want. This is beyond frustrating to me....I'm looking for them to say Yes, come in so we can make sure everything is OK or, No, we think you're fine, just come back in 2 weeks when you're scheduled! I also happen to live nearly 100 miles away from my doctor's office so it's not like im just popping over there on my lunch break!!!
So there you have it. I'm saying WTF Doc...shouldn't you be telling me as the medical professional whether you think I should come in based on what I tell you and not just leave me hanging saying "either way, whatever you want to do!"?!?
@MamaForester My doctors office has a nurse like that, and it drives me nuts! She's so nice, but I feel like I might as well not even call in when I talk to her.
My WTF today in The Bump. Whenever I pull up any message board this afternoon, it freezes and takes forever to reload. It's not my computer, and I'm not having issues with any other web site. So, I guess I'll just be on the app for awhile, which is fine, but doesn't work as smoothly. I know it's relatively minor, but my hormones feel like it's a big deal!

@MamaForester@amandarene112 One time DS was having a horrible allergic reaction to bananas, (vomited 10 times in an hour, his stomach started to bleed) and I called the ER to see if I should take him in (it's an hour away and it was the middle of the night, didn't want to try to drive a vomiting baby for an hour in the middle of the night.) anyway, I got this MEAN crabby nurse who basically told me "Well I can't tell you anything over the phone. It's your choice. We're busy."
