First miscarriage and advice needed

i had my first miscarriage at 5.5 weeks. US showed baby was 3-4 weeks. After my appointment I started bleeding heavily. That was dec. 21. Have not had AF yet. Continuing to have negative Ovulation tests. How long did it take to ovulate after miscarriage? Did AF come first before ovulation? Thanks in advance!

Not the greatest club to join but I also miscarried on Dec 21 so I can at least give you fresh details. I was 5 weeks, though hadn't had ultrasound yet. My hgc level from lab two days prior was very low at 18. I bleed for 6 days and just ovulated on Jan 6 or 7 (opk +, ewcm, and strong ovulation pain), 18 days after I started miscarrying. No AF yet. However, I've read it will absolutely vary from person to person and of course being a tiny bit further along can also add time to readjust your cycle. You may have an AF first. I am TTC immediately and in my tww however I have no idea if my cycle and luteal phase will be long enough and I suppose I shouldn't be counting the MC as day 1 of a cycle. I'm sure it's frustrating for you to not have the opk but hopefully it's a short wait.

I ovulated 1 week after my HCG fell to 0. But that was close to 100 days after my loss. Do you know if your HCG returned to 0? If not, I recommend taking a cheapie hpt to see. You can watch the lines get fainter if your doctor didn't do bloodwork.

My first miscarriage I ovulated about 5-6 weeks after. I assume this because I never ended up getting AF but a BFP instead on day 60 post MC.

I'm surprised you had an ultrasound that early. I wasn't going to get one until 7/8 weeks. I had a CP at 5 weeks. I was spotting though 2 days after I got a BFP. 2 days heavier spotting at 5 weeks then it stopped and I thought that was it. A few days later I got bleeding for a few days. It never filled a pad although I wore one. It was scant, thicker texture - not like my normal AF blood. It's done now and from what I can tell my CM is what it should be for this time of my cycle. I get a blood draw today at my OBs office.

I'm sorry for your loss

. Everyone really is different - I miscarried my first pregnancy naturally and mostly completely (RE wants to take a closer look with hysteroscopy) at 11w5d, calling that CD1 (conveniently for tracking on 10/1) I had positive-ish OPKs (I was camping that weekend - not super ideal to pee on sticks) and temp rise indicating that I O'd on CD 16, with a regular for me 14 day luteal period (I had 30 day cycles in February and June before - so almost normal). I had analmost negative cheapy HPT at CD10 and definitely negative a week later (didn't bother to test in between).

Thanks everyone for your advice. A week after I stopped Mia carrying I had a negative Pregnancy test. I'm still waiting for Aunt Flo to come. it's been 28 days since the start of my miscarriage and still no positive OPK. Good luck everyone

I came in because I was spotting, so my doc did an ultrasound that day. I had an appointment for the following week.

Sorry for your loss. It's really very different for every woman. I had a CP at 4 weeks, 4 days. I ovulated about 8 days later (earlier than I normally do), then I got AF 14 days after O (usual for me). But AF was very, very light (2 days). I am on my 2nd cycle after loss and not sure if everything has fully regulated, though I did O around my normal time this cycle.

I had a missed miscarriage for my first pregnancy and had a d&c in December. I was 9w3d, baby stopped growing only a few days prior. I ovulated 3 weeks later and had first AF 2 weeks after that. It was a normal AF for me.
