Re: Weekly Symptoms 2/6

  • For the past few days I've had this random pain very low in my abdomen. It happens mostly when I stand up. Seems like round ligament but stronger than I'm used to. Any ideas or suggestions?
  • I feel like that meme is on point for me this week. I have been sleeping like I did in the last month of pregnancy with DD. Plus I've been feeling out of breath may when I'm sitting down. I can't imagine getting more uncomfortable, but there is still so long to go!
  • Loading the player...
  • The diastasis recti pain is out of control. I have already gone through 2 large tubes of IcyHot in two weeks. I have 15 weeks to go.
  • My body has been SO tired the last couple of days. Like I was standing in line for coffee this morning and thinking "I can't stand here for another second." Can it just be a thing where people who are pregnant don't have any obligation to do anything?
  • @LMMama I wish pregnancy came with a get of adulting card. I had great energy last week. On Friday, I woke up feeling ridiculously tired, and I haven't perked up since.
Getting up from sitting on the floor and from sitting on the couch is starting to become difficult. I feel like it's too early for this.
  • I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling so exhausted. I have a cold. I'm so crabby.  I coughed too hard and threw up last night.  I'm throwing myself a pity party.

@mamaelle27 I have something similar going on. It happens several times a week. The pain/tightening lasts one to 10 minutes. I'm a FTM so I figured that's normal?
  • @mamaelle27 and @kyreno11 sounds exactly like RLP. Mine can get so bad it takes my breath away, especially when I am moving or changing positions. It's much more intense this time around (STM).

I also have braxton hicks. It feels like tightening of my belly (sometimes even only one side) and they will come and go. Occasionally I will describe them as uncomfortable, but not painful like RLP can be.

BH are picking up when I'm up and moving around or when I'm outside walking. It's slightly unnerving but I'm trusting my body to know exactly what it's doing. Resting and changing positions is helping keep them at bay.

  • My knees have started to hurt. I googled it and it seems pretty normal, but it's like no inch of my body is unaffected by this pregnancy! My hair is falling out, I have teen level acne, boobs are enormous and painful, growing stomach, random aches and pains, carpal tunnel, swelling, and now my knees!
  • @devow27, @kyreno11- glad to hear I'm not alone. I figured it was RLP but it's definitely more intense this time around.
  • I got a lovely heat rash on my chest over the weekend. Thankfully, it is getting better.

  • Headaches have started. I definitely got them much earlier with DD, but still no fun. I would like to go curl up and sleep instead of picking up DD from day care, but I think that might be frowned upon.

Oh, and I just noticed the dried ultrasound gel on my belly - 8 hours later. Can we say "hot mess"?

Maybe this should have gone in the Monday B!tchfest....

  • I'm having a lot of pain in my inner thighs. It feels like I've been working out, which I'm not. My internet research says it's due to my pelvis separating, which is just grand. I never had these pains with my first. My stomach is also very sore at times and especially painful when I stand up. I can't imagine how I will feel the next 18 weeks!

What the hell?  Your pelvis separates?!!  I had this pain last night, feels kind of like a pulled groin?  Pregnancy is weird.
  • Along with the pains that come along with my growing belly. My calves are on fire! I am not sure what happened but I woke up Saturday and they were sore- almost as if I had bad leg cramps all night and this is their reaction? I remember not sleeping great, but I don't remember my legs bothering me at night. Anyways- now on day three of stairs being a b*tch.
  • My groin and pelvis is so sore! I find myself waddling quite a bit.

Also this baby loves to kick when DD or DS are sitting on my lap. She's already fighting for space!

Pretty much it just "relaxes" too early, and can cause pain. I never had this with my first pregnancy, so I didn't know what the heck was going on. Talking to other people though, it is pretty common.

  • My feet hurt. I feel like I've been walking around Disney all day. My husband yells at me anytime I slip on my flip flops because "no wonder your feet hurt, those aren't real shoes". They also swell by the end of the day. Not really bad but I can definitely tell. But hey I can still wear my rings! It's the little things.

Mom to Madison- 5 and Lillian 2....and now surprise baby #3!
  • @itsfine Oh I feel you!!! Brings back alllll the memories of it first splitting with my first child (thanks 9lber). Are you in a belly support band yet??
  • I'm feeling pretty great considering how large I am and how fast these babies are growing. But frick if I could sneeze without horrible ligament ripping pain for a minute after, that would be lovely.

Also I'm not a super huge fan of not being able to recline or sit comfortably on a couch anymore. Time to break out the exercise ball and hope my kids don't use it to take out the cats MXC style.

I woke up every 2 hours last night to pee, then kept having trouble getting comfortable to fall back asleep. I'm so incredibly tired.

Eta: So thankful for this cup of coffee right now.  Not sure how you ladies that give up caffeine completely do it!

Yes, I've been wearing it for the last 2ish weeks. I have a sit down job and it rids up so I end up taking it off half way through the day. The pain is triggered immensely when I pick up my daughter a lot. Also, I can never get comfortable at night. Any position I lay in the muscles just burn burn burn.
  • Panic attacks or feeling like I can't breathe coupled with a fast hear rate.  So fun!
  • Ugh I finally had to break down and take some milk of magnesia.  I don't know what happened but all the sudden the constipation has become so terrible.  I eat fruits, nuts, granola....lots of fibrous things and nothing seems to help.

I also have pains when sneezing or rolling over in bed.  Especially when I roll onto my right side.  It literally feels like things are stretching and moving anytime I roll to my right side.

I am also experiencing this!  It hasn't been consistent but when it hurts, it's pretty bad. Like, walk like a 100-year old woman bad. It's usually like at the tippy top of my inner thighs. I never had this before and if it sticks around, I am going to be miserable by the end!

I feel like every time I cough or sneeze that I must be hurting the baby bc it hurts me.  It seems unusually violent when I cough.  Gaahhh!!!  So glad this thread is here!
  • Yesterday I learned that a stuffy nose is a pregnancy symptom! So do I have a cold or just another oh so fun symptom...?

  • @doodleoodle yes with the pee sneeze :s

@Wearmi1 I'm with you on the constipation worsening. I added psyillium powder daily and it's helped a lot. Highly recommend.

For the last three nights I've had a terrible time sleeping, not that it's been great before that, but very few hours the past few because I can't get comfortable.  The culprit seems to be erector spinae (supporting spinal muscles that run vertically along either side of your spine) pain in my thoracic region, especially on my right side.  I know back sleeping is discouraged at this point - and I'm not even a back sleeper to begin with, but sometimes this is the only position I can get a moment of relief and shut eye in (with knees bent vs straight legs). I saw my chiropractor yesterday and he did an adjustment to that region, acknowledging my ribs seemed to be slightly askew, but said generally it's best not to do many adjustments in that area in pregnancy. Doing the bump pillow and pillow between my knees, but still sooo uncomfortable and so tired!  Suggestions welcome!

  • Anyone having actual contractions? I've never gone into labor on my own, and I've only ever
experienced pitocin contractions, but I'm pretty positive that I had a few last night.

I was very crampy in my back and it wrapped around only my left side. They were there, then they'd go away, then come back. I went and laid down on my side and drank water and I didn't have anymore, but I'm super freaked out.
  • @Stankonia2014 Could they have been Braxton Hicks? And I would have freaked out too - glad it sounds like they passed quickly. I did have a situation with DD (around 25 weeks, if memory serves) where I ended up in L&D with legit contractions due to dehydration, so if they ever don't pass, you know who to call! (Your doc. Not Ghostbusters)

@c1tym0m22, I don't think so. I've been having BH too, but these were different in location and semi-painful.

I do think I was dehydrated, so that could've been it.

Ill make sure I call my doc, not GB next time. ;)

    edit: spelling
  • The past few days I've had really really mild cramps that feel like period cramps. No idea if this is BH or just stretching? The last few weeks I've had a mild pain on my lower left abdomen area. Today it's a little more painful. FTM here so I don't know what is normal and what is not! Also been having back pain on my left side. I'm supposed to get a massage today. Should I put it off until I'm not having pains?

  • @Stankonia2014 -- That's what mine felt like with DD. I would keep an eye out for more. The NP I saw yesterday had said if I had any of those to call them. Hopefully it was just a one time thing!
  • This is a weird one and I don't remember this until much later in pregnancy but does anyone else's "vagina bones" hurt? Not sure how else to call it. I feel like I got punched in the vagina. It's very sore in that area.
  • @Praying41 that would be your ligaments stretching out and relaxing.  It's not pleasant.  And the occasional sharp stabbing of lightening crotch could also happen.

  • I feel like in the last couple of days I have seriously popped in terms of my bump.  I'm still anxiously awaiting the 2nd tri energy boost, but I'm still exhausted ALL.THE.TIME.

  • @Stankonia2014 were you super active during the day?  I've read that can start those types of pains/sensations.  Hopefully everything is perfectly fine and it's just another excuse for you to take it easy!  Keep us updated!
